Use Chrome. However, no that the website automatically logs you out every 20 minutes I guess. You need to write down your ds-160 bar code at the beginning, save each successfully completed page so that when you're logged out, you can retrieve your application and continue from where you stopped rather than starting all over again and again.

Thanks, man.

But with My chrome, I can't even get past the first stage.

Just reloading without moving to start the application. Tried using Incognito mode, Internet Explorer and all but to no avail.

Any idea on what is going wrong?

Nothing concerns Embassy with the school u wanna go to, do u deserve the visa? can you take care of yourself? Care you pay the tuition and will u come back to naija and “all other things you filled in your ds160” is their own concern. I believe that school has an international student office and the take student from different countries every year. Just that whoever is going there “Na bush the school Dey o, it’s a white state and it’s typically boring there. You could even be the only black student there lol

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by BECskills: 5:53am On Nov 14, 2021
I believe that before you secured the loan, you must have proven to the loan company that you have an Post MBA offer, which means you have plans of repaying the loan.

The loan officer should not be worried over that, it's largely between the company and you.

However, should the question come up, you refer to your Post MBA job offer.

Hi guys I need a little help, please.

I am on the verge of applying for my F1. I have acquired a loan worth $50k which I already made plans to pay the company back when I get to the US.

I am hoping that the VO will not ask me what are my plans for payback.

SHould in case he does, do you have any idea on how to put it so as not to reveal that I would be staying back eventually.

Also, how is it best to answer "do you have siblings in the US" when you have them? should you say yes or deny it?

True
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by BECskills: 6:00am On Nov 14, 2021
Boss,

Your response are valid 100%.

My question is:

1. If your i-20 reads personal funds and the loan only got approved after you've submitted your DS-160 form would it appropriate to mention that you have a student loan?

Regards

NigPatriot:

Hi,
You've taken a good step by already obtaining a loan prior to your interview, trust me the VO would be impressed by that. Your plan in paying back should be embedded in what your plan to do when you're back. If this degree is actually worth it then the the Return on investment (ROI) should get you way more than this supposed loan. Look out for the very best companies in this your field here in Nigeria, and importantly tie a position which you'll come back to take. Loans can spread up to 20 years, 50 years and even a lifetime before they are completely paid off. The VO knows this, even most US citizens rack up students loans that even last their lifetime. Just have a plan of payback, based on the role this new degree would give you here in Nigeria. Don't just 'hope" not to be asked, that's you leaving your life to chance.

On the question of, If you have siblings in the USA. People have lied about it and gotten away with it. Doesn't mean your case would be similar. It's always advisable to be transparent. You just have to know what they're doing there, what state they're in and in most cases they might ask how they got there. Especially if it's an immediate relative.

All the best.
May the odds favor you.

Most definitely, be sure to state that and go with documented proof to back up your oral presentation.

All the best.

Hello house,,I have a question about sevis. I paid and had a sevis ID which I used for my visa interview few months ago but visa was denied. Now I have gotten admission to a new school for spring 2022 waiting for my i-20 which is definitely coming with a different sevis ID. How do I transfer my sevis payment to the new ID or how do I go about this. Also how am I going to update my CGI portal with new sevis ID.

log on to the sevis website (https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/index.html) and click on check i-901 status. use your former sevis id and the previous details such as dob. it will bring your payment status details and on the left hand side you can click on request transfer. you should get your reply from sevis with 48 working hours. Good Luck

Hello all,

I recently got married just like a month and I already had admission for spring 2022, When I was requesting for i-20 i requested for mine and my wife's own. My wife passport does not carry my own last name...Hope this is not an issue going with this for interview . Please I need your kind guide and possible question we might be asked about the last name difference.

NOTE: we have our marriage certificate and pictures of our wedding....

Not at all. The last name difference doesn't affect the outcome of your visa interview

SHould in case he does, do you have any idea on how to put it so as not to reveal that I would be staying back eventually.

Also, how is it best to answer "do you have siblings in the US" when you have them? should you say yes or deny it?

I think you can do the calculations for him as to how much you will be earning when you return to Nigeria upon the completion of your program.

For example, when I finish my program I should be earning Bleep amount because the average rate for graduates of this program is xxxx amount so I will be able to pay back comfortably. Also, the loan is for Bleep number of years so it’s well spread out in such a way that there won’t be any major pressure on me.

About the siblings, you can tell the VO that you have someone there but the distance is very far from your school hence you are not likely to even meet. The reason I stated that is because having a sibling or family members in the US can send the signal that you might just want to stay back which might be a red flag to the VO. But saying that they are far away might just mitigate that effect (do your findings on what state you can mention that they are).

Lastly, can you please assist with how you were able to get the loan I.e steps and the company that offered it??

As regarding the Loan, The company is Mpower. They grant loans to international students without any collateral requirement. They are based in the US too.

you should check them out at mpowerfinancing.com

I was trying to apply for expedited appointment, but when I clicked on submit, it logged me out. I logged in again and started all over again, submitted. Only to discover I didn't change it from "ESTA" denied to "Student".
Have anyone here experienced this before?, and what is the way forward?
Am really worried now.

you can write them naming you school. You might be lucky that they start from you.

It’s an advantage if you see your school tho but you can still write them even if your school is not there.

I hope this helps
