It's good you noticed this negative aspect of yourself & I believe you understand that your feelings of when other people succeeds is something which you must continue to fight yourself within until you are able to suppress it fully.

What you are experiencing is the sinful nature of man....you cannot help yourself. You need Gods grace (me too im like that). Say this prayer:

LORD Jesus Christ. I believe you are the Son of God. I believe You came into the earth 2000 years ago and died for me on the Cross. I am a sinner. Wash me with Your Blood. Save me from my sinful evil nature inherited from Adam. I choose to serve You from today onward.

You will notice that you no longer feel jealous much after this.

My best friend is someone exactly like you.
