Eric Abidal's Wife (Hayet), Now A Suspect For The Brutal Attack On PSG Star Kheira Hamraoui.
November 16, 2021 CloudNine Sports Titbits., Football
Still on the Police investigations surrounding the shocking attack on PSG’s midfieder Kheira Hamraoui, the French police confirms that investigating judge is continuing the inquiry, and Eric Abidal's wife now a suspect in relation to the case

The former Barcelona defender was invited by the French police for questioning over the matter days after the incidence, as his phone number was found in the player's contacts, and her sim card was also registered under his name.
Eric Abidal reportedly slept with Kheira when he was Barcelona sporting director and she played for Barca women's side at the time.

A new information now points to the Frenchman's wife being the one who ordered the beating from the maskedmen as per L'Équipe

It was supposedly a revenge for Kheira sleeping with her husband during her time at Barcelona.

Kheira Hamraoui was recently attacked on the streets by a few masked men who damaged her legs with a sharp object.

Kheira's teammate at PSG Amanita Diallo was initially suspected to have orchestrated the attack and was even questioned by the police last Wednesday.

CloudNine Sports understands that Diallo was later released without charge, having pleaded her innocence in this case and it looks like she is not guilty.

The Parisian police are now on alert after having access to the calls made and received by Kheira Hamaraoui, as well as Diallo's own statement regarding alleged threats from Abidal's wife (Hayet Abidal) in the past.

According to a number of the players within the female PSG team who are now assisting in resolving the matter, Hamraoui called Abidal the day after the attack on her occurred.
Abidal's wife is now being investigated by the police.
To further increase the suspicion that this case is indeed a private life matter which is not related to PSG or any of their footballing issues, it has been confirmed by Le Monde that, at some point during the attack, one of the hooded men shouted at the for having slept with married men.

This will be a growing problem for women's sport in general, not just women's football.
A lot of 'women' with elevated hormones will continue to surface and dominate different sports - case in point, the two Namibian sprinters in the Olympics and the Zambian player based in China. There has to be some standard rules governing eligibility across board - the current rules appear to be very lax.

International women’s goalkeeper accused of being a man as Jordan FA calls for gender test on the Iranian footballer

The president of the Jordan Football Association (JFA) has called for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to carry out a gender test on Iranian women's goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei.
Iran beat Jordan 4-2 on penalties in September, with Koudaei saving two spot-kicks to help her country to qualify for the 2022 Women's Asia Cup for the first time in their history.

But the JFA have doubts over the 'eligibility of a participating player,' and are demanding a gender test on the shot-stopper. They believe Koudaei was in fact a man impersonating a woman.

In response, Iran's team selector Maryam Irandoost strongly denied the allegations.
Irandoost told sports news site Varzesh3: "The medical staff have carefully examined each player on the national team in terms of hormones to avoid any problems in this regard, and so I tell all fans not to worry.

"We will provide any documentation that the Asian Confederation of Football wishes without wasting time."

It comes after the President of the Jordan Football Association, Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein, tweeted a letter calling for a gender test.

He has slammed the AFC over the 'very serious issue,' and fumed at the confederation to 'wake up'.

The JFA have demanded an 'independent panel of medical experts' take a look at the issue.

Part of the letter reads that the JFA: "Understand that gender verification is not mandatory for participating players, however, the article reserves the right for AFC to investigate and take appropriate measures if there is a doubt on the eligibility of a participating player.

"Considering the evidence submitted by JFA and given the importance of the competition,
"We request the AFC to initiate a transparent and clear investigation by a panel of independent medical experts to investigate the eligibility of the player in question and others on the team,
"Particularly that the Iranian Women Football team has a history with gender and doping issues."

She deserves it because at the moment she has performed more than any other African female player. If she continues this way, she will definitely end up being the African GOAT.

In terms of performance for country, how does she stack up to the Zambian during the women's football Olympics?

The Zambian's performance during the Olympics shouldn't automaticaly give her the crown. Considering club performance I think Osoala beat her to that, though I must confess, Osoala hasn't done much for the national team.

Super Falcons Defender Glory Ogbonna and Umeå IK have parted ways by mutual consent, the club has announced.

Ogbonna joined Umeå IK on a two-year deal last summer, at the end of her stint with Nigeria Women Football League side Edo Queens.

The 22-year-old Defender played a crucial role in helping Umeå IK soar to the summit of the Elitettan and gain promotion to the top flight (Damallsvenskan) this season with two woman of the match awards.

According to the African Women Cup of Nations winner, the reason for breaking her contract is based on weather condition.

“It is with sadness in my heart that my stay at a reputable club like Umeå IK will come to an end soon. Umeå IK welcomed me, they gave me a home, the coaches, management, players made life easy for me and I will forever be grateful. After considering the weather at this time, it will be hazardous to remain here due to the weather. I want to thank the Club for understanding my decision although it is a difficult one to make. Umeå IK will forever remain in my heart as you gave me my first experience playing club football outside Nigeria. To my players, fans, thanks for everything, the wonderful memories will forever be in my heart.”

In response, the Swedish based club thanked Glory Ogbonna for giving her all to the club and will miss her.

“Umeå IK FF thinks it is very sad that a skilled character player like Glory Ogbonna is forced to leave the club prematurely, but of course we respect her wishes, It will be very interesting to follow Glory’s further development and we are convinced that it will turn out very well for her. We would like to say a big and warm thank you to Glory for her time in the club and wish her all the best in her continued career”, the club announced.

Christy Ucheibe - Minsk? This is someone who just played in the Womens CL for Benfica day before yesterday.
Ibube Whyte again? Someone must be really straffing a certain recently appointed scout real good. This is beyond funny.

Let's hope this is not the proposed squad to play Cote D'Ivoire, else they will be walloped real good by the Ivoriens.

The fact that old rookie in the name of Chikwelu, "off-form" Ngozi, Egolistic Oshoala were not invited, I am satisfied with the list.

What exactly is the camp for? I stand to be corrected, but I think their next game is in February except they have friendlies lined up for them.

Also, Alozie isn't a defender for God's sake. She was wrongly positioned in the invitational tournament reason she didn't do too well. Also, Patricia George isn't a defender too, she plays midfield role.

Also, local based players dominate the attack, wondering why that is (I'm aware Oshoola is injured). Also wondering why Ifeoma Onumonu isn't on the list

Patricia George is a full back.

A quick check will show you you're wrong. She's even regarded for the most part as a forward. Go check her online, watch her videos too. She's far from a full back

Patricia George is a Utility Player, She plays literally all the position on the Field except as a Goalkeeper just like Switzerland and Barcelona Ana-Maria Crnogorčevi, England and Houston Dash Rachel Daly...

Talking about her College days she played more as a Full back and Wingback both Left and Right cause she uses both feets..

Currently at SC Sand she Plays as a Left Winger.

During her stints with Chicago Red Stare Reserve before her move to Germany she played as a top 9 and as a Full Back...

At the Turkish Tournament early this year she played Central Midfield and Right back for the Superfalcons though for few minutes..

Oshoola is injured, that's why she's not on the list.

I think she deserves a call up even though I think she needs to be benched until she ups her game for the national team. She seems not to have issues at club level
