It's really an assailable demand on Mr. President to erroneously terminate a judicial process that is in motion.

The only political solution to Kanu's case is to avail him a fair trial. Anything short of this will be immoral, grossly inconsistent, demeaning and unacceptable.

Pls avoid quoting my mention comparing MNK case with pardoned Boko haram fighters.
One of the clear differences between their respective cases is that MNK case is before the law court.

Should he be on trial in the first place wasn't he kidnapped from Kenya and didn't he abscond in the first place because his life was at risk.

Buhari shouldn't get involved at all.

Nnamdi Kanu should face the law.

These so-called Igbo leaders should go and rest already.

What did they do when all of the mayhem were being unleashed?

Kanu's extraordinary rendition and current 'trial' does not have the support of the UN and international community, it obviously does not have the support of Igbo masses. Now, the Igbo elders have also made their stand known. The only people going ahead with their foolhardiness are the Fulani cabal headed by malami and their social media BMC lunatics.
d way u guys were shouting UN and INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY,I thought by now dey wud have broken nk out of dss cell.u better face ur front,un no send u.dey have better issues to deal with Dan ur albino leader.

Lol. Go tell someone that knows his right that he’s mad. Or go out today and call someone that can afford a lawyer a bastard. Let’s see if it’s a crime or not.
See me I’m a Yoruba and there’s one thing that defines us it’s respect. I read a post on Twitter that said a Yoruba man can live on respect for two weeks without food. I’m sure the other parts of the country respect their elders but you see for you people that don’t have leaders insolent is not a crime.
Let me try to roughly translate this Yoruba saying.
If a child killed a rat, he can eat it by himself. If he killed a fish he can finish it but when he catches something that’s really big. He will bring it home to his parents. That’s why it’s important to train your child in a way he should grow.
Yoruba also have a saying that goes; if your person is eating a bad insect and you refused to let them know they are doing something bad when the discomfort kicks in even you will not sleep. That’s exactly what’s playin out in the south East. Now everybody cannnot sleep because of one uncouth man that his own father called mental patient.
who be this one

Onye ala!

Aren't you the onye ara, here?

Why should Kanu be released? Has Sambo Dasuki been released? What about Nyame and Dariye?

Anytime an Igbo person is made to face the law, we start talking nonsense. Orji Kalu, Ikedi Ohakim etc, all had short stays in prison custody, while Nyame and Dariye are still there. Why are Northerners not screaming for their release?

You guys should stop this petty bigotry.

The last time Kanu was released, what happened?

Just like you protested when Buhari was lodging so called repentant Boko Haram terrorists in five star hotels lavishly feeding them with choice meals while Nigeria soldiers on the battlefield hardly find garri to drink.
When Justice Onoge was illegally removed for Malami to take over, it was not interference of judiciary? I remember you actually protested violently and even started the impeachment process.
malami take over where?when we say una dull, una go dey form sharp.now see as u don dey embarrass ur village elders now.

Kanu's release must be predicated on very stiff conditions. First, he must publicly renounce his Biafra agitation and express full and unwavering commitment to Nigeria's unity. He must be made to recite the Nigerian national anthem and pledge of allegiance on national television, and willingly join politics like normal people do. Either that or he should be allowed to rot in prison while his trial keeps getting endlessly postponed. The truth is, if his trial is allowed to continue, he would most likely be sentenced to death. No two ways about it. He'll be executed and heaven will not fall, except for maybe some unrest in the SouthEast which would abate after sometime. I'm sure the igbo leaders are aware of this hence their meeting with the FG.

Igbo leaders should as a matter of urgency put their house in order arm their people and seek for international support because by next year Buhari and fulani/Kanur plans against the southern Nigeria will be fully implement and no escaping for anybody in this country even Yoruba Muslims will not be not escaped.

Wait, pls are you OK, I'm just asking? Can you pls name a single Afonja you ever known that has said he had issue with Kanu? Pls what is the matter with you?

What is Afonja business with a misguided loosed mouth Kanu? Is it Afonja that arrested him? Is it Afonja that took him to Kenya People like you will ends up killing Kanu by your behaviour and action.

How can buhari override the judicial just like that? Were you not alive when Asari took swipe on Kanu pls has any Afonja publicly did such but you did not talk about that but only Afonja is your nightmare

Let judiciary do their job in fairness, Kanu is no bigger than the law, he jumped bail and in any country in the world its a criminal offence so he should face the music orelse fed govt must erase bail jumping punishment from the law then everybody should be jumping bail as they want.

"Buhari has clearly told the group that he doesn’t interfere with the judiciary.
I think Ndigbo don’t learn the lesson of northerners.
During Abdusalam to Obasanjo’s era, the former Chief Security Officer of Abacha faced trial in Lagos and for 8 years he was incarcerated until he was discharged by the Supreme Court.
Again, from 2015-2019, Dasuki who is somewhat related to PMB was incarcerated for 4 years on corruption charges, despite various courts granting him bail and the intervention of ECOWAS Court.
Also, Elzazaky and his wife were held for 2/3 years and despite various bails, FG refused to release them.

In all these, there was no single intervention by northern leaders of whatever shape. That’s how they earn their respect by calling any person’s bluff.
But Ndigbo will be crying like babies and make it a tribal issue. But when MNK was denigrating PMB, declaring him dead and calling Nigeria a zoo country, Mbazulike Amaechi and his group didn’t and couldn’t restrain MNK. Now that the chicken is roosting at home, Ndigbo are behaving as if MNK is Nnamdi Azikiwe or such a political figure in national life. I feel sorry for the stupidity of Ndigbo."
