I didn't receive mine.
Even though I qualified and have filled out all the necessary forms(E-dividends form, Transfer form, Currency Election form).

A friend of mine bought through a stockbroker using his trading account, but he's yet to get the shares. His stockbroker said MTN is yet to release those shares.

Please note when shares are bought through public offer, allotment is not done immediately. There is always a schedule of activities from the period of the offer till allotment.

Allotment of shares is done by the registrars in collaboration with the issuing house and cscs.
Whether you bought through a broker or the bank it's the same procedure.

The information on allotment will be published on the NGX when it's done.
Just be patient.

I guess you saw his investment portfolio. The chart/volume shows when he most likely bought the shares. Forget about what they want "you" to believe

He bought through cross deals that were packaged by APT Stockbrokers, cross deals are usually at a premium, cross deals aimed at being a substantial shareholders ie having 5% and above are done at super premium

Yeah! I read that online sometimes in October. But my chart tells me accumulation increased substantially from September. I don't believe Nigerians with all these abracadabra.. the more you look, the less you see

Cross deals are off market deals.

Prices are determined by the seller and buyer and not the stockmarket. Otedola's deal was secretly packaged and delivered by Malam Garba Kurfi of APT Stockbrokers

Kurfi might have bought . And started to sell to Otedola at a huge premium. Kurfi was one of the sellers, who got more sellers to sell to Otedola.

Cross deal is better, if you are buying or selling very huge volumes


If Otedola wanted to buy his almost 2 billion units of First Bank shares on the floor, the stock price would have gotten to N30

You can buy 1 billion units of shares within a month through cross deals, but it might take a strategic Investor 12 months to do so within his price range on the floor
