Lol......enter seme from mile2 in Lagos. When you get to seme, you'll cross with bike 3 to 5k depending on how smart you're with bargaining. You don't even need to have a passport or any vaccine certificate. That border is the most corrupt border in Africa.
Bro how far
We fit run Benin Republic journey together when next you're going.

Omo bro, I'm also in need of this fr. Maybe I'd have to go to their immigration office to this effect when I visit there soon. It'll just be extra expensive sha because for a non-citizen, they'd definitely want to milk us, but owning their passport isn't an impossibility. With their passport, the percentage to enter Italy, France, Germany and Greece is 85% sure; we can't say the same for our ridiculous naija passport.

Why didn't he include Owede border, which is the easiest and cheapest border to use while going to Cotonou. He also forgot to inform the public of the activities of the dreaded Ekelebe boys in Seme border. If you are going to Cotonou for the first time, pls avoid Seme and use Owede, Idi Roko is a drug route.

2018? No way
She made the person who changed the name riched
Exchange rate for 1000naira is 1000cefa now
Then it was 1000naira to 1100 or 1200cefa
EmekaA125:

Seme border is in which country, Nigeria or Benin Republic?

My elder sister was in Cotonou in 2018 but later returned to Nigeria because the exchange rate of Cefa to Naira is like #500 to CFA1000. Too poor

Nevertheless, l would like to visit there for tourism.

He is correct, it's actually #1600 from Lagos to Benin Republic.

#1000 from Iyana-iba to Badagry, then #300 from Badagry to Send. When you get to Seme, don't take bike, just start walking forward, they'll stop you at the gate and ask for your passport, drop #200 and continue walking, when you get to the place for yellow card, drop #100, then when you meet the Benin officials, drop #200, then you walk away.... Budget this same amount when returning back to Nigeria

Don't act naive and ensure you already changed the money, cos if you give them #500 or #1000, them no go give you change

But if you need to stamp your passport, maybe for official purpose, it's just #1000 at the Nigerian side and #1000 at the Benin side, plus #100/#200 for yellow card

Try to get your nosemask, else it's another #200 at both entrance and exit

This is a bit correct but the prices are more than that now.

1. Going from Mile 2 to Seme Border is #4000. You can walk down if you have a passport and pass through the immigration. Nigeria's side is the worst and the only corrupt in my own experience because you will see like 10 immigration and custom officials at the gate and they want to check your passport so that they can take money from you even if your passport.

2. But don't walk down if you don't have a passport because nobody will take #200 or #1000 from you. In fact, if they see that they don't know your face, they will want to crucify you on the Nigerian side and will be treating you like you are a criminal as if you want to smuggle something in. It is better to take the bike and give those guys #3000 to save yourself from Nigeria immigration and customs harassment and embarrassment.

3. By the time, you get to the passport section then you will see another set of Nigerian immigration and customs with DSS and all looking at the way of taking money from you.

3. At the health official, you can give them #200 but they have started looking into #500 too. But if you are using your passport it is easier to get the yellow card and the price is #2000. I will advise you to go and get the card if you are planning trip to Benin Republic.

4. On the Benin Replublic side, you have no worries because they are calm and you will see just one or two officials. If they want any thing, they will ask you calmly and you will love to give them, because they are more than calm in my own opinion. They are very professional because they are only doing their work but not after your money.

Generally, in my own opinion, i hate that route (Worst) and to me, all the immigration and police officers from Agbara, they are all criminal themselves but i heard the idi-iroko route is better so if you are going to Benin Republic without passport, I will advise you to pass through the Idi-iroko route.

1) Please is Cotonou network available at Idi-Iroko.

You can't get Porto-Novo directly from Owode. You'd have to get to Idiroko first which would cost less than or about #200 from Owode. From Idiroko, you'd then take bike across to Igolo which is #1,000 or #1,500 depending on your bargaining power. It is majorly #1,500 for two people. So from Igolo, you'd see taxis to wherever you intend going within the country there.

1) Your network provider will automatically roam the moment you get closer to the border at idiroko.

2) You'd get more of money changers there. Those that will convert your naira to cefa for you. Banks are more situated at Seme border.
