i needed a building ideal,but no body responded.anyway,about my 2 wing of 2 flat down and 2 flat up.i took a risk to start the project without being their because i live abroad,no chance for me to be present because of my work,my brother is the one taking care.
the foundation and german floor has been completed last week,the builder extimated 1.8 million for it but it took me about 2.3 million.not easy.
can ancan any oné tell mě any ideál for decking 4 flat which is oné 3 bedroom and oné 2 bedroom.all ensuit.thanks.yone update me on what and how much it going to take me to the level before decking?gono apreciate it,thanks.

i am building a storey building of one 3 bedroom flat and 2 bedroom flat down and up,all ensuit.i have now finish the german floor.can any one educate me on how many iron rod of kinds needed and cement, granits, sand,wooods and blocks and other to 2 block after lintel.it has 32 pillers.

Hi Guys. Very interesting tread this is. I am ready to start a new house project in Abuja ( a four/five bedroom bungalow) all en suite or at least three bathrooms.Can anyone give me an idea how much this could cost? I know it all depends on a lot of factors but just a rough estimate of a standard house with good/tasteful finishing will do. My kids will riot if I made them stay in anything less

I have no definite building plan in place although I am exploring several ideas so im very much open to suggestions. I intend to have this house ready for occupation by december this year as we intend to vacation in naija this christmas and will be staying in this house. Furnishing for this house (beleive it or nt has been purchased and awaiting shipping)!!! I would not mind hearing from an architect and a QS. i need to move very fast with this.

I will like to find out how much it will cost to build and finish 2 units of 3 bedroom flats or 4 units of 3 bedroom flats,Land is at ikorodu and also is it advisable to use a building contractor? I will appreciate response as i have been wondering over this for sometime and i need to get started but before dwelling into it i want to have a better insight and since its my first house i was thinking of just making it 2 flats bungalow but someone advised to make it 4 that i can complete 2 now and the remaining 2 as i want it or when i have the resources.

I finally chose the one in the attached (4 bedroom duplex)and will soon contact him concerning the detailed drawings. I intend buiding the house in Ikorodu to commence in next couple of months.
What I require from you is a rough estimate (with moderate finishing)in other to brace myself up. Kindly Help me, Help!, Help!.

hello maca411,
when it comes to roofing i would rather think the most important consideration should be a design that ensures a cool interior and materials that would contribute to achieving that goal. having a look of the future even of it means abandoning the objectives of cool roofing to me may not be a very good idea.

whenever this marketing gimmicks comes on, one forgets it is all about making money.On the face value the cool roof stuff is very much ok but maintenance is key in naija where dust particles will carry all sorts of debris to your roof, indirectly asking the owner to change me now or else I go spoil,but naija person no send.

How is life na? Thank you for digging up this thread, gives me a feeling of nostalgia whenever I go through it. I might update this thread very soon with pictures of work progress. Nothing much has changed about the external condition, I have not painted this house (dont blame me, blame the economy cheesy

) but we have done a lot of works inside, from ceiling to electricals to plumbing and burglary for some sections. And yes, I am now living in this house, my old landlord has stopped cutting some of my income grin

Its a great feeling living in ones own house, whenever I wake up in this house, I have that strong feeling of contentment, a sense of achievement, and that satisfaction when I remember that my children will never have to be thrown out of any house even if I am to die now.

I wish you all this feeling, we shall see on the house warming party, I am believing God it shall all happen within this year, be sure I will post pictures of everything on this thread. Thank you all for making this thread, (and the first one before this) a very memorable event in my life.
