Rohr's SE team lacked confidence
That lack of confidence flowed from the Coach unto the players
That might explain why Simon, monstrous at club level was pedestrian in the SE
Truth is, apart from Osimhen and sometimes Balogun and Awaziem, most of our players were pretty much mundane in the last few games under Rohr
That's not a player problem, it's a Coach's problem

I feel with Eguavoen in charge, this team will become confident again and our swagger will return

I look forward to exciting attacking games with high scorelines

With all the NFF issues, I don't expect Eguavoen to win the AFCON but I believe the team will be hard to play against or beat

I look forward to a beautiful tournament actually
Go Super Eagles!!
Beyond tactics, what our players need is courage, confidence and grit

The 4 goalkeepers just put me off.

Why can't we do things right in this country?

Why are we, unfortunate will administrators and coaches?

For the first time in my life, I want the Super Eagles to lose all its matches!

Even though, I know that the squad is more than capable of winning the AFCON.

Rohr submitted a 37 man list, Eguavoen trimmed it to 28 man list removing our foreign born talents who deserve to be on the list based on merit, twist it as much as you want it doesn't remove the truth

Nwakali would have never made Rohr 200 man list grin grin

Which midfielder should have been invited in his place?

Or would you suggest that we have 4 midfielders in a squad of 28 to afcon?
He was invited based on sentiments and past u17 exploits. Like i said earlier..we will see what he does and pass our judgment then. Peace brother.

On a normal note which great football thinking manager will invite a defender that has played 3 games this season for Orlando pirates over an ever present Akpoguma

lol, it’s just Rohr that’s keeping him, his versatility gives him an edge too
Baba that guy is from same state with the NFF VP2 Dikko and NFF permanent secretary... that really give him an edge can't say if he is closed to the sultan I do know he do visit the palace

Shehu is not just there based on versatility but strong connection

I deliberately just didn't want to talk about him because I'm hurt too.

The fact is that: Rohr messed up almost all of these guys to the point where most of them lost confidence. They began feeling they weren't good enough. And it affected their psychological well-being to the point of trying hard to please him with various loan moves that didn't bear much result.

And Secondly, he needs to work harder and stop being comfortable in his comfort zone in Gala.

You made some point. I don't think you could work harder than these boys , so chill brother.

Iwobi has goals this season though for Everton, how many does Nwakali in his entire Huesca career?

Nwakali , for this season , has operated almost entirely from CM or DM , but just to win an argument you had to compare apples and oranges. Why aren't you asking how many goals Ndidi scored this season.

Iwobi is putting up embarrassing performances but you are more concerned about Nwakali who has not touched a ball with SE.

Where is yout sense of logic ?

I have never been impressed by Ndidi and its really frustrating to me. I agreed with Eguavoen in his interview posted some days ago that he feels Ndidi is holding back. I still wonder why Ndidi is holding back. Our DMs like fOliseh and Onazi play like possessed players. But Ndidi is not like that. I think Onyeka should be given a chance. Sometimes competition can challenge a player to play his best where ordinarily self satisfaction makes him to just get by.

Nigga , this is very simple.

Ndidi is not a natural DM. He was converted to that position from central defence. Ndidi doesn't have the skill set to read games and made and contribute positively to attack.

And the thing about Ndidi "holding back" , well , let me kindly say you can't give what you don't have. Therefore , Ndidi isn't holding back, he just doesn't have anything to give , besides tackles and blocks.

I say , move him back to where he started , CD.

But take this truth , Ndidi , Ekong, KC , Aribo ,Iwobi , Simon Moses and Rohr are the reason why we keep playing soccer without passion.

Very untrue. For example, the Ndidi of brugge used to shoot and score from outside the box. Now, he doesn’t even shoot from far anyone. That’s one example of holding back

So for you to lose an argument you had to bring up Ndidi, newsflash he also has more contribution offensively than Nwakali this season.
If Nwakali is that special what is he still doing at Huesca who by the way aren't bothered to renew his contract which ends next summer?
Where is your sense of logic in you labeling a "creative" midfielder as a DM, doesn't it show that he is crap at creativity.

All the African journalists are in awe of our attack.
One Egyptian journalists said we have the most complete team. One Zambia guy said "OLUWA" ooo(Nollywood/Afrobeats effect) in awe of our attacking talent. Likewise a Ghanaian guy was dumbfounded by our attacking talent.

However, a Cameroonian was able to pick a hole in our team. He argued that our team is not balanced but agreed that we possess the most dangerous attacking talent in African vis a vis the world!

I laughed and said to myself this is not even our best team.
We should appreciate our team and give them the necessary support.
Up Super Eagles!

Nwakali has played more as an AM this season more than any position ,there was a time he even played as a winger and even a CF ,nwakali has only played as a DM once but you said more entire CM and DM ,the other position he played was CM but he has played more games as an AM

If Musa doesn't announce his retirement after AFCON, then forget it...The man will be at Qatar... I think Balogun might retire... Or probably Qatar would be the last bus stop...
But seriously, after AFCON I'll be quite glad it Musa, Shehu, Collins,Ighalo, Omeruo and Balogun quit the team.. The likes of Iwobi, Iheanacho, Simon and Ekong should also get restricted minutes... We need to rebuild properly...
Sir Dan,it depends on their performances in the coming Afcon....I still see Balogun as our best CB and his age is intact.

Don't mind him...I pray his kids don't get the same treatment and scorn he melts out on foreign born players here that if he is truly domicile abroad

Someone that is truly based and groomed in America lets say for like 10 years won't have this mindset he displays here

Moreover bro... how many assist and goals has Nwakali this season where he played as an AM/CF/winger

I won't doubt it if i hear tomorrow palms were greased to get some names on this list

The problem with indigenous coaches is that they always treat foreign born players badly and sometimes snub them for call ups reason being this guys are not used to bribery for call ups remember Aluko and late Stephen keshi prior the world cup

If this set of NFF were in charge in 2004 I doubt Yakubu, Agali and Celestine Babayaro would have been sent out from camp for breaking camp rules

Sometimes when we berate Pinnick here we so do so because of how some of the previous FA president acted and we expect Pinnick led team to do better and not worse

Thank you sir, there is no need to sugarcoat anything.....Kelechi Nwakili and Olisa Ndah didn't deserve to be in Afcon list but time will tell maybe it is SENTIMENTAL or TACTICAL reasoning.....hope to see the duo turning to Oboboana and Mba of 2013 Afcon.

It is purely sentimental .add to Shehu
I have always hear them say he is versatile

Versatile my foot
Take Awaziem to the DM role he plays it better
Take Awaziem to that RB/CB role he plays it better

Same with Aina And Ndidi

We don't need the so claimed versatility of a Cyprus based player not even bossing the league sef

Same with Ighalo who brings nothing new to the team.. I blame rohr for his inclusion... Dessers deserve that spot
