Dear fam,

Please I need a guide
I am 29years, male, widowed with a young daughter of 2years. I studied industrial Chemistry and I graduated with second class lower division. I have Masters of Business Administration (MBA) certificate.

I am currently working in a Bank with over 3 years banking operations experience.

I am looking forward to change career into health related or IT related field.

Please, advice.

Regards

Good day..
You can start by reading the thread and gaimg the relevant information and knowledge you may require.

I have read your profile and I advise your pursue a program PGD level related to your current work experience. Do not go into health as you will be denied as you do not have prior work experience in it. You can consider IT if you have experience in it but I will still recommend the business area. A google search can get you schools like humber, Conestoga etc.

When you are applying for the visa, do mention or include your already acquired masters program in your application-you will be denied based on Purpose of Visit.

Dont apply for gcms note yet. Reason is because your eligibility review has not started. To get it started, keep disturbing them with mails daily till it starts. Then wait a while before applying for notes.

Ok boss.
Thanks

Cost of 2way depends on the courier company used and distance to VFS office of your choice.

You’re paying N9,410 to Canada logistics. That’s different from what you’re paying to courier your documents.

Ok. That means you're asking of VFS transmission fee and not courier service charge. Transmission fee is around 9410 or so from recent PPR holder. not sure but kindly verify. But paying for transmission fee is when you want to send your passport to VFS office that's not where you did your biometrics. If you did your Biometrics in Lagos and wants to send to Abuja, you now need to pay the transmission fee and vice versa.

Hello House and Happy New Year to everyone.

I am new here and I want to say a big thank you to all for these very informative and supportive threads.

Please I have some queries I need your expertise on:
I am thinking of applying for a Diploma course in Engineering in one of these schools, however, my major concern is how to apply for the visa and the associated cost. I studied mechanical engineering.

1. I am a family man and we are both working. How can I apply such that my wife and daughter will go with me considering home-ties?
2. We have roughly say 20m altogether and my tuition alone for the 2 years is about 8m, without living expenses. Is this sufficient?
3. If I want to go alone first and apply for them later? Is 8m sufficient to get me by until I get a job while schooling?
4. The DOB on my previous passport/visa which was wrong has been corrected in my new passport, how will this play out when they check travel history?
5. Which school is the cheapest when it comes to all these engineering diploma courses?

Also, I have a masters degree, obtained in 2013, and have been working ever since.

Please advise me on how to proceed. I am hoping I could prep for Fall 2022.

Thank you, experts!

Hello everyone ,
Biko someone should pls reply me now

So thankful for your response on my previous enquiry .
Please I’m in a dilemma right now.

I don’t know if I should sponsor myself or make my mum be my sponsor.

My mum doesn’t stay in the country, she works in the US. Does it make sense that she sends her Nigerian bank statement and US bank statement . Hope they won’t deny me visa on the basis of not having ties to Nigeria .I don’t have family in Nigeria too.

Second option is to sponsor myself and look for a company that can pay me salary that will show in my statement and I can get leave letter from them too.
And state it that my mum is in Nigeria when she’s not.
Does it have effect on my status if I’m granted visa
Please which one is better .

Ps : I’m 25 years old.
Finished uni 2019.
Worked for 2 yrs in hr and my intended msc is also in employment relations memorial uni.

Good day..

Reading your inquiry these are what I feel you could do.

Even if you use just your mum as your sponsor(US and Nigerian bank statements), you are expected to include your own bank statements in the application and you are expected to show source of funds in her bank statements or likely lumps sums in her account (employment docs or cac of business attached with sales or contractual agreements are docs you will need to include).

The 2nd option is also okay but you will need to show more than employment docs as your source of funds that covers tuition and living expenses for a 25yr old with 2yrs work experience. It probably would raise be a concern.

Therefore I will advise you apply both options on your application. It makes your app stronger. As per hometies, you can include your present work experience, study leave letter and an affidavit of return.

Medicals upfront September 29th
Medicals updated 29th December
Visa application date 27th October
Biometrics 1st November
Ppr January 6
School resumption date January 10th I have started online classes

Documents submitted
Ps: I used an agent I just didn’t want to risk not looking Good on paper and I was lazy
1. Family pictures
2. Parents marriage certificate
3. Sponsorship letter notarized
4. Letter of explanation I think you guys call it sop
5. Summary of guaranteed funds
6. My birth certificate
7. School transcript
8. Bsc certificate
9. Police character
10. House validation ( this thing took soo much time)
11. Sponsors cac docs and business invoice

I didn’t apply myself so what I listed above are what my agent requested for, he was just being overzealous with all the requirements but according to him give them everything so no matter where they look you they won’t see anything to deny your application. I also had to send web forms for my Medicals to be updated, I also request for gcms notes cause I saw someone say it makes them remember you… aha my 6k lol, just because my school resumption date was soo close and I felt I had given them enough time I started sending mails to Nairobi and lagos every morning for like 3 days before my visa was approved. I asked nicely and politely don’t be rude abeg I just kept begging them to look at my application

Hello All. I have two enquiries please.
1. Does an Ontario graduate certificate from Centennial, Conestoga or Mohawk college qualify one for a post graduate work permit ?

2. What is the major of a post graduate certificat compared to a post graduate diploma?

3. Cost aside, what college is best recommended amongst Centennial Conestoga and Mohawk?

Thank you

Hello everyone,

Please I need clarity. I had my admission for January intake but when omicron ban was placed the school sent a mail to international students to defer. So I deferred till May…

My Question now is do I need to send them the new LOA or just show it at the port of entry when I get the study permit..

Thank you.

Once your medical is passed, you will get the update in your GCkey. Qlife or IOM only sends the medical result to IRCC. IRCC evaluates it, then assign pass or recommend for more tests to be carried out.

1). Yes. but attach necessary documentation to show that the money will be available for your studies.

2. SOP has no page limit, but don't bore the VO with tales by moonlight pages of stories in the name of SOP.

VO's looks out for career or academic progression. Is just about trying to understand the relevance of the course to the applicant's academic/ professional future plan. So, as you have had masters before and going for another master, even though it isn't academic progression, but with a well-detailed explanation as to why such, it can still convince the VO. Just note that nothing is impossible with GOD and IRCC is also unpredictable. But could it have been easier had you not declared it entirely.

Note that sending any new document to IRCC will warrant additional assessment and scrutiny of such document. As such it can delay your application. So, I would suggest you wait for a little while to see if IRCC will request for updated LOA, if not, then you can send it to them.
