Dangote Cement to Buy Back 170 million Shares Next Week
https://businesspost.ng/economy/tranche-ii-dangote-cement-to-buy-back-170-million-shares/

Duration of exercise (the 2 days mentioned) will be dependent on the COMPLETION DATE.

...it's gonna be between Wed, 19 to Thursday, 20 January or when the entire trenche size (of 17,040,507,404) has been purchased; whichever comes earlier.
What this means is that the completion date might well come before or go beyond that 20th of January... unless the company decides to suspend further purchase (even without completion of target vol) given prevailing mkt condition at the time... and since repurchase exercise will be from the open mkt.

This exercise is Trenche II.
The 1st, Trenche I already bagged about 40.2M shares of Dangote Cement.

INFERENCE: The coys equity price might push up but there's need to tamper ones optimism with caution.
Repurchase exercise will likely be STRATEGIC.
...the 2 appointed brokers/MM (vetiva and meristem) may not go on a buying spree just for the sake of it!
They will likely do so applying "common sense in-between"

On this, the above article from Dec, 2019 when the scheme (share consolidation/RSS and buyback) was 1st announced, is still very handy.
...a few of the lines therein have already come to fulfilment. More may likely follow.

It is well.

ucap raised a bond at a super low rate during the covid stock crash. they plough all the funds into equity, buying at huge discount prices. the profit they made there alone was huge. grin imagine buying billions of zenith at 11naira with free money from bonds with rates below 10%.
OBAGADAFFI:

Haba, UCAP is an investment and portfolio management company, just like ARM, FBNQUEST and STANBIC Assets Management.
This companies make profits from stockbroking, bonds and assets management.

But I can't find any BUAFOODS products in the Market .

Opinions on GTb please, is it wise to pick know Please am responsible for whatever decision I take!!

Bought at N28, N27, N26 and currently still buying… It will probably continue to go down before it goes up, no one knows.

I personally don’t care, the lower it goes, the harder my new Naira deployment work. If you’ve done your research and you’re convinced, just buy and let the market do its thing.

I tested the water just two days ago with NSE using trove app but I came back with a loss. Please show me the way to profit. At least maybe the basics. The right apps to have, websites to bookmark, and people and others to follow. I'm trying to make this thing a full time job. It's too early to start incurring losses considering my mearger seed I have to start with.

At what price do you think one need to tamper optimism with caution since we believe that the price will soar.

And what should I look for when buying shares ?
