Hello Frankrobbn1,

I've sent a mail to you through nairaland, please kindly respond. I'm in need of your expertise. Thank you.

Frankrobbn1:

Happy New Year my fellow Nairalanders! I'm glad to be in your midst this year again.

To provide answer to your question, it doesn't appear reasonable for your brother who is resident in Canada to sponsor you and your wife. He already has his dependents in Canada which the visa officer is well-informed about and a simple background check on his immigration status would delcare same. My professional advice for you is that you (the husband) should fund your account and sponsor the trip to Canada.

I wish you the very best.

It will end in praise
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Emilo(m): 5:27pm On Jan 14, 2022
Dear experts i want to sponsor my wife and will transfer most funds to her account. I will submit all the necessary document to show it is from me.

My question - is my job and pay slip for the past 6 months to 1 year be sufficient to proof all the funds in her account??

Congratulations to all the PPR recipients. To God be all the glory.

Guys it’s a PPR request. My God has remembered me. Apparently it was approved yesterday but I didn’t get any notification.I’ve been a silent follower. But i must appreciate @makano and @vivigogos for all their help and encouragement. I just got my approval this afternoon after 8months. I will come back and post documents I submitted. God bless you all for your assistance. I learned a lot here.

@frankrobbn1

Kindly get across to me.

I need your input, i just got served a refusal letter.

I am new here, i do not know how nairaland works.

i was refused on this grounds.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

Thanks

Congratulations RukkyAdenike on your PPR, all glory to God..

You are welcome, I am glad to be part of your success story..

It has finally ended in praise..

*PPR*alert/ Application timeline.

I am new to this platform and I've been a silent reader. Though I didn't know of this platform when I applied, since when I joined in December, I've learnt a lot from people here.
Thank you @makano for answering my question that day, I really appreciate. I got my ppr that same day so I didn't later do as suggested.
Here goes the timeline:
First time applicant

Submitted application in August 22, 2021
Did biometrics in August 26, updated the same day.
I didn't do an upfront medicals because I want to know how far my application has gone. I heard that if you are sent a medical request, then you are 80 percent to getting your visa.
So the wait began after biometrics.. I didn't think about it much because I don't want to have hbp grin though I continue praying. I didn't even bother checking my portal.
Got a medical request exactly 2 months later- October 22, 2021.
Did my medical exam Nov 9, updated to pass Nov 15.
Then the wait again.
I waited the remaining of November and the whole of December.
Got PPR on January 5th, 2022, Alhamdulillah.

Documents submitted:
- The 3 IMM forms
- LOA (unconditional) stating the partial scholarship I got.
- 4 months bank statement of my uncle and Mum each. None was up to 10 million naira, though there was active transactions on both.
- My SOP. I tried to be as honest as possible with it. It was just a page.
- Passport photograph
- international passport.

For people still waiting for ppr, it will come soon. Just don't stop praying. There is nothing prayer cannot do. It's not about the millions of naira you have in your account that does it, but God's grace.

Have a good evening y'all.

Hello DonAmos

Just simply send a reminder message to IRCC that you have done a medical examination that is still valid and has been submitted before..

Make sure you put in your UCI and application number in the content of your mail to them, and most importantly, attach the E-medical sheet to your email.. It should be updated to pass within a week after they ,just have received your mail.

Peace

Hello bola

The sponsor simply showed total committment to the study and living expenses of the applicant, all through the applicant's stay in Canada..

The sponsor paid full school fees, transferred the full living expenses to the account of the applicant and some extra funds..

The sponsor drafted a Letter of sponsorship to explain all this with evidence and also an Affidavit of sponsorship... The sponsor had in the past sponsored the said applicant, so I advised the applicant what the sponsor needed to do and she listedned and got her Visa at the end of the day..

Mind you, they didnt do any of this in the previous refused application, they thought cos they had 50Million naira, the Visa officer should know there is plenty of money... Which is a very wrong assumption...

So to the Millionaires in the house, do not assume that the Visa Officer seeing millions in your account will automatically give you Visa cos you have money..
You must do a break down of the availability of the funds for your study and also total commitment to your studies all through your stay in Canada..

Like I always say, Its one thing to have Billions in your account, its another thing to show and convince the Visa Officer that the said Billions will be available and totally committed to your studies...

This is Canada study Visa Application and not UK study application..

Peace

Is it compulsory you must pay your living expenses before you apply for visa.

Part payment of tuition should be enough.

Hmmmm i doubt that. Some reapplications still take months. You can see some second time applicants give their ppr testimonies with 4months thereabout. So it still depends on IRCC

BSc Chemistry, more than 10 years experience in banking and insurance sector.

1 year Graduate certificate in International business management or 2 yr Diploma in International business management., which is better

Opinions please!!
Go for a 2 years Graduate Certificate program in a Business Management. It aligns/relates with your 10 years Work Experience and you will get 2-3 years Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after graduation.

See the link below for 2 years Graduate Certificate programs and the colleges offering them

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/269#99133605

1 year would only give you 1 year PGWP.

Study Visa Application wise, an ordinary diploma for your kind of profile shows no Academic/Logical Progression

If you do that, you are logically expected to show proof you have been employed in that organization with your resumption being when yiu return. That is to say, the organisation has to put in on paper.

Otherwise, don't mention it because anybody can claim he or she will return to work for so so

Good evening everyone. Can anyone other than a family member serve as your sponsor and can you use shares in a company and a landed property as a means of POF?

GOODMORNING,

please I need guidelines on how to study for masters In Canada.

My uncle wants to sponsor me.
He said I should look for a school in Canada and apply.

Please also, I heard some schools wave ietls, which university can I apply to that doesn't use ietls?

He gave me till this month end to apply or else he will not attend to me again.

Your Response to the questions below would enable you get a response on the type of program, program qualification you can/should go for

- what did you study in the university/Polytechnic ?

- What year did you graduate ? (to address study gap)

- 2.1 or 2.2 or 3rd Class (University) or Higher or Lower Credit (Polytechnic)?

- Do you have a job? If yes, what is the name of your Job, and what are your Job duties? (to know if your Job is related to your Degree)

- How many years work experience do you have in that Job?

- Is your Job related to what you studied in the University?

Help,

I am on the Canadian imigration web trying to review the various documents needed to apply for study permit, as it relates to Swedish applicants.

The Adobe refused to open. I mean the various forms, checklist etc.

I use the latest Adobe, still the forms refused to open, except 1 or 2 forms.
