I also got unconditional offer into MSc Mechanical Engineering but the challenge is the tuition fee is over expensive though, discount is 3000 pounds was given to me

Apply for the international excellence scholarship, it is for 4K£ but you can’t get more than 6K£ scholarship. So since you already have 3K bursary thrive scholarship, they’ll give you another 3k is approved. All d best

I applied to Hull last year, I was given conditional offer very close to September. I knew I would not be able to go around that time so I defer till sept 22.

Now, the conditions I need to meet for them to send me an unconditional offer letter is

1. A professional or Academic referee
2. English language requirement

Now, this is where I need your professional experience to guide me house.

My response

1. I got and upload on the portal a letter of reference form work, cos I applied for a Master in Criminology and crime control and I work in a security outfit so I believe that will be fine.

2. I also uploaded my NECO result on the portal and i sent a result checking scratch card and NECO registration no to the PG admission office email address.

Since I sent it like a week ago, I have not heard from them.

I hope I am in order with all that I sent them?

And I have done all that is required.

Traveling at 36 or 37 weeks pregnant possible ? Please are there airlines that allow this ? I read online that Qatar and Turkish restrict traveling at 36 weeks and the said lady is a dependant and wouldn’t want to give birth in Nigeria.

Hull University do not accept NECO. If you don't have WAEC you would have to write IELTS.

You’re not doing it right. It doesn’t take this long. Confirm if the Form already has a Form Number, Click on the form in the Portal, Scroll down to the last part and you’ll see a small summary box of Supervisors giving a Note on your registration. If it shows approved. Download and print then take it to your Bank.

thanks buddy

but if no airline agrees to carry her at 36 weeks and above what will she do? She wont give birth? i suggest calling airlines directly and finding out their maximum gestational age for pregnant women and speaking to your doctor to get your report . Just apply haste.

Okay. Thanks for responding.

What if I go and sit for this upcoming WAEC? Hope it will be accepted?

Cost of sitting for IELTS is high, I am on a tight budget.

I am applying to the University of Bolton for MSc Data Analytics and Technologies, the transcript I have with me was addressed to another school in Abuja. Can I still upload that same transcript for Bolton since every other detail they need is still in the document?

Please somebody help with this information.

Thanks in anticipation.

Lol abi, but I understand her plight...no one in Nigeria to help her do the necessities except God.
Thanks a lot. Yes you are right, it is better to go to the airline directly to confirm.

A friend of mine (main applicant) gave birth the day her visa was approved. Her school deadline for entry to UK is 7weeks away.
NIN, Passport and visa processing will take not less than 8weeks. She is considering leaving the baby behind (her hubby will travel with her) and come back for him in May/June but afraid of issues with getting visa for her baby. Her TB certificate states she was pregnant as at the time of testing.

Is there any chance of her baby's visa getting denied because of the age she is leaving him behind?

Just keep an eye on your myhull profile, they will update it, but as for the NECO, Hull has been having preference for WAEC lately, you may want to find another way to proof your english language proficiency, but wait their response.

I agree with most of your points. The PSW permit is not new, I have few friends in Scotland who benefited from the scheme pre 2011. You are right in saying that majority of them went back as they could not find jobs.

That said, i think it's easier for couples to afford the rest of the fees because the dependent can work without restrictions on hours of work allowed unlike the main applicant during term time. Also there are other possibilities to switch visa category for either the student or dependent. Couples who have Kids above school age 5 will cope as little childcare would be needed during term time. The cost of putting children in nursery can be crippling, so I can understand bringing a parent in to help as the savings can go towards school fees.

However, single applicants who haven't paid a big chunk of their school fees before enrolment (or have it saved already) will struggle, as 20hrs a week is just going to cover your cost of living. Where will school fees come from? If you happen to have well settled family members in the UK that can help, you may be fine. I have helped a few friends with securing admissions, and I keep preaching that 20hrs will not solve the problem, just being realistic.

I have lost track of the number of links friends have sent me to contribute to help students from Nigeria who can't pay their school fees, because of unforseen circumstances. I will advise people coming through the study route to plan properly and do your costings. The last thing you want is to be stranded.

Also, PSW fees is high and extortionate combined with health surcharge too. Imagine the cost for a whole family of 4 or 5.

The study route is a great opportunity for families and singles alike as approval rates are high, we just have to plan well. Without proper planning, students will start defaulting on their payment to their prospective universities. These universities are obligated to report to UKBA. It is only a matter of time before schools start demanding higher deposits or full payment. We should not ruin it for others.

I sent you a mail... Please respond.

Thanks for responding, as per English proficiency, I am considering these options in order that best favors my pocket.

1. Apply for English as medium of study from UNILAG, UNAD and submit. (Cheaper)

2. Sit for this May/June WAEC. (Cheap)

3. PTE Test

Will Hull accept option no 1 or 2?

hope it is not same funds that the main applicant used? Avoid duplicating funds. Only use tht account if the initial funds covered main applicant and dependednt.

@oggg the total funds is 14m and it’s been in there for like four months now, the main applicant already paid full tuition fee for the first year , didn’t touch the 14m , is it still okay that way?

You'd have to prove that youve been in a genuine relationship prior to the wedding. Gather all your evidences and keep.

I get you. But he is already in the UK studying and I’m thinking of asking him to come back home for the court registry after which I’ll now file for dependant visa when he returns, will I still be granted the visa?
Because I’m having a thought they might not since the wedding in recent and they will assume it’s for the purpose
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by DuBooVay(f): 3:23pm On Feb 13, 2022
I cannot give you 100% assursnce. Just do the right thing. Genuine docs, proof of relationship and marriage, funds etc. It should be sufficient

Yes and it's even best. So long as the fund is enough for both. If you open a mew one they may ask for the old acct main applicant used.
