crazy thing is like our ladies are more aware of ghosting than guys, it’s like a trend, for me I see it as been cold which I make people close to me aware of, I don’t like being call drama king or a cry baby when I see wrongs and I try to speak out, i believe in speaking out or speaking up, if I don’t like a doctrine in Christianity I speak up, you can call me a rebel but well I guess I just made you see what you refused to see, my point is I am this guy that can do things on my own but if you render to help you are also welcome so I can be very cold when you push me to that angle of evaluating you and trust me I might even freeze you out when I see your true value I have always ignored all while long,

I believe in mutual respect and being on the same page makes it more healthier, not someone pretending to like me when you are not feeling me, be honest with yourself first, if you don’t want to be ghosted be mutual.
I don’t even exchange contacts with people I don’t want to talk to and if we meet before we go too far I will see if you are my kind of person, if you are not I will avoid you to make you understand I’m not feeling you, keep family family, friends as friends, colleagues as colleagues, so that when you message me in middle of the night I can answer you in the morning and you won’t get it wrong or feel ghosted.
Good afternoon, as beautiful as what you wrote, challenging everything you don't agree with is a little be questionable. Trust me, you can't see everything nor understand everything today.
There are some things that you will later understand why things were done that way.
So, to avoid too many errors due to our limitations of what we can see now.
It better you over look many things and let them be.

Peace.

I ghost people a lot, you are an adult, you know what you did. I don’t have another energy to waste on explaining what you did, and hurt myself again. You hurt me, I leave without explanations. My mental health is more important.

I always wish anyone I ghosted the best, and always happy to see them do better, but just forget I existed. And, if anyone choose to ghost me, I’ll always understand.

Yes, it is. I have never experienced it before until recently. What I did? I went head on to confront her an told her I can help her destroy everything so that it dies. I no get time for body language...

As last count sha, i sent the picture she voluntarily sent to me a year ago. and told her thats the only one left on my device. She then proudly ask why I haven't deleted them... I told her that i have deleted others since... but this last one was sent to me by Google.. omo, she no fit talk o. She didn't expect that...

I did my best to devalue her though as well as telling her to delete all my numbers but she refused to delete it. At least, now she knows the reason I don't communicate with her is because of her attitude towards me cos I made it clear. I no get time for hide and seek. I go confront you and move on.

When someone ghost you after drawing close to you, you devalue them

I always say respect the heart that cares for you.
Do not take those who care for you for granted.

You will not care about everyone that will care about you, just as not everyone you care about will care about you.
Just respect people’s feelings.

It's very unhealthy. All that passive aggressive nonsense

Tallesty1:
Is this ghosting thing same as locking out? Like, when your partner is angry with you s/he will start acting like you ain't there and be giving you one word answer?

Someone use that thing on me eeh! Very lovely somebody fah but once she's angry, she will lock me out. I told her how I hated that, nah then she come weaponize am. Every small thing she go lock out for days

Me that adapts easily. It happened one time and I asked her what the problem was and the usual response came "NOTHING"

Haba, person wey I don explain give say if I offend her make she kuku tell me and I go apologize but nah, she won't.

Omoh nah so me sef lock her out.

First day, second day, 3rd and she got tired but I was just starting. I locked her out for one month and three weeks.

Our conversation that period was useless.

Hi, good morning, how are you? How was your night, alright just called to know how you're doing.

Same for afternoon and night.

When things got back to normal, she started sniffing around to know if I was seeing someone else. Kept telling me that I am wicked and heartless.

That was the last time she locked me out until the relationship got to where it was destined to stop.

Rebound is the worst.
When someone use you for backup in breakup
and you don't know.
Experienced it once...so terrible.
The person wanted to resume again. I wan am o to back off.
Treat people nice especially if they came clean.

I agree. It's a form of disrespect and it hurts especially when it's from someone we genuinely care about because it's also an indirect form of rejection, neglect, and abandonment

I always say that when we spot people like these, we need to hear their stories to know where they learned it from

Sometimes, their parents did it to them or their friends did it to them or a colleague did it to them and so on

Personally, I think the best thing to do is:
- if it's a person you genuinely care about, let them know that them ghosting you is hurting you. If they keep doing it, cut them out of your life and never look back
- if they try to change their ways and stop ghosting you and improve their communication with you, forgive them and keep them in your life
- if it's a stranger not worth your time, just cut them off

I hope you find this informative. And thanks for bringing up this interesting topic for discussion

Yes, it's an indirect form of rejection. Also a form of neglect and abandonment.

When people we genuinely care about do it to us, it becomes a form of emotional and psychological abuse. It can deeply wound us and even bring down our self esteem. Very toxic behavior in close relationships

This actually not ghosting............Ghosting is you complete dissappearing from someone you were vibing with well, without any explanation giving and kept them wondering what they did wrong.
Vinnie2000:
Ghosting is quite different from rejection. When a girl turns down a guy who woos her and keeps away, dats rejection. When a guy gets rich and when d girl trys to come back. If d guy avoids or blocks her, dats ghosting!
