PUT IT IN THE CAPITAL MARKET, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IMMEDIATE NEED FOR IT AND OR AN IDEA FOR IT RIGHT AWAY.

The alternative would be a FIXED deposit.

God forbid bad things. Why would you advise one to store money in the bank especially now when inflation is a real thing in Nigeria? If the OP doesn't have anything serious to do with his money, he should use it to purchase a piece of land in his area (close to a place that is developing) over time, he's asset would be worth more than what he paid for that land. My dad initailly considered Fixed Deposit and all its variants at one of the commerical banks, but the interest rate is soo low that inflation would have wiped off the gains by now. He used it instead to get some parcel of land and now that land is worth 2 times what he bought it for. It been about 3 years when he considered fixed deposit and now he's not regretting dumping that stupid idea.

You can just go and learn under someone. A business person. Just learn.
If you insist that you want to trade, you can rent a shop in a strategic place where there are students and sell noodles in cartons.
You can easily employ someone there. You do stock taking so you know how many cartons sold, how many bought. And you can continue when school resumes. Don't sell in pieces oo, so that your sales person will not chop you finish. Just sell in cartons. Get your supply from a distributor.
But you have to be patient so that the business will grow. It will not pay your bills for at least a year. So brace up.

Starting a business involves doing proper DD, identifying needs/problems, and then providing solutions.
You can start with your community, walk around and ask probing questions. Here is an example, A guy in Maraba, Nasarawa State had N500k and want to start a POS business because someone told him the business “dey move”. Instead after doing a proper DD, he came up with selling iceblocks. He has employed two guys to help him and he rakes in an average of 40k per day.
KEY-TAKE AWAY: Identify needs/problems and then provide solutions.

It is very hard to start business in Nigeria. Go and ask people. The hindrances are so high. You must know this truth. But it doesnt mean you cannot.

Rule 1: Do not give anyone your money.
Rule 2: Do what you can handle yourself. Do not do beyond it.

Those two rules, take them serious. Leave out investments, bla bla bla aside. Do not give your money to anyone.

Keep searching. Keep searching. Keep your cash.

But if I were you, I would invest in my brain. Start learning a digital skill. Do not spend money. Everything you want to learn is on the internet. You may see reason to invest in buying a laptop soon.

There are many things you can learn under digital skills. UX/UI, Marketing, writing, sales, graphics, etc. There are many things. See eh...it may be a small laptop or even a phone you will invest in plus 3k data (20GB), you will need to get you going. And you start loading your brain with digital skills. Or maybe buy a laptop.

Anyway, start with having around 20GB monthly data and start watching youtube videos. Invest in some online tutorial in udemy and coursera. But first sit down and research which area you want to learn.

Another area, you may want to look into learning car diagnostics. Then, use your money get yourself as a certified engineer of a brand like toyota that people will be looking for. You arent a mechanic....mechanics call you to help them find out what's wrong. Then, you set up yourself as importer of replaceable parts too. What I know is that if you go into lorries and big vehicles, you will make it. Thaoe ones with Diesel engines. Make your research very well. You can learn everything online amd pass the exam. Sit down and make a thorough research.

Goodluck!

Great advice!

Take a course on Marketing and Sales.

Learn how to sell.

Find someone who is doing a business and making sales offline. You’ll find many of them in Onitsha, Computer village, Aba, Alaba, Aspamda, Idumota, etc.
Most of these people have no idea what goes on online. They also do not care what goes on online.

All they care about is making sales and getting
money flowing into the business daily.

Be their online person.

Bring their business online, and advertise to those who want what they sell.

You will make money doing this.
You’ll make a lot of money doing this.

As a woman, you can open an online shop for that woman selling lace in Aba, and add money on top onto for yourself. That’s your own profit on every sale.
As a guy, you can open an online store store for that man selling computers at Computer village.

Read information from Google and publish content about computers and what people should look out for before buying a laptop.
More people would begin to reach out to you when need laptops.

Reach out to that guy who makes shoes and footwear in your neighborhood and be their online guy.
Promote what they make online and add your own profit.

Look around you, look where others are neglecting, you’ll find a gem.

You can’t afford to be idle for long.
You can’t afford to stay broke.
You can’t afford to continue earning a meagre salary every month.

You don’t need to be a genius to make money online, and have a better life.

Look for a business that is offline, bring it online and get them SALES.

You will make a lot of money.
Not just money...

You will build your confidence.
Your influence will grow, and...
You’ll attract more opportunities to yourself.
You need to start operating smartly.

Look for a business that is offline, bring it online and get them SALES.
Thank me later when you hit your first M.
