If you know better place for Ikorodu.
I'm not talking about inside inside I
I'm talking about areas like Elepe to Igbodu...cum Ginti and Park View Estate.
Look for someone to sell you pieces land not far from the road.
Build one small "ok" shop, a toilet, put borehole and collect prepaid meter. and do small fence like 4 coaches with gate.
Rent the shop out and lease the land to mechanic or church or mosque anyone your mind carry or people that want to put containers there.
If you stay around there go and learn how to sell building materials like wheelbarrow, nails, padlocks etc...
Start growing the business with persistence and prayer,
before you know you will join real estate agents, like play like play...

You don turn millionaire be that o!
Good idea but that money cannot buy land, build store and fence it.

It is very hard to start business in Nigeria. Go and ask people. The hindrances are so high. You must know this truth. But it doesnt mean you cannot.

Rule 1: Do not give anyone your money.
Rule 2: Do what you can handle yourself. Do not do beyond it.

Those two rules, take them serious. Leave out investments, bla bla bla aside. Do not give your money to anyone.

Keep searching. Keep searching. Keep your cash.

But if I were you, I would invest in my brain. Start learning a digital skill. Do not spend money. Everything you want to learn is on the internet. You may see reason to invest in buying a laptop soon.

There are many things you can learn under digital skills. UX/UI, Marketing, writing, sales, graphics, etc. There are many things. See eh...it may be a small laptop or even a phone you will invest in plus 3k data (20GB), you will need to get you going. And you start loading your brain with digital skills. Or maybe buy a laptop.

Anyway, start with having around 20GB monthly data and start watching youtube videos. Invest in some online tutorial in udemy and coursera. But first sit down and research which area you want to learn.

Another area, you may want to look into learning car diagnostics. Then, use your money get yourself as a certified engineer of a brand like toyota that people will be looking for. You arent a mechanic....mechanics call you to help them find out what's wrong. Then, you set up yourself as importer of replaceable parts too. What I know is that if you go into lorries and big vehicles, you will make it. Thaoe ones with Diesel engines. Make your research very well. You can learn everything online amd pass the exam. Sit down and make a thorough research.

Goodluck!

What business yielded the 1.5 million in the first instance? Maybe you should just persist with it. Or is the money a gift or loan?

Best response so far! Your best bet is to invest in whatever brought in the 1.5M!

If it is a gift, invest in mutual funds. Do not go into any business until you have done the "igba boi" for that business. Otherwise, that ₦1.5m will vanish before your eyes.

Your location, environment, knowledge or experience* and other related factors matter in your choice of business.

Although experience or knowledge can be bypassed in a way i.e if you're the enterprising and business oriented type or born into a business inclined family.

After all, I didn't learn the business I am doing now formally, I only learnt it through visit to my siblings stores and helping them with one or two when I am on break, during strikes and immediately after my graduation before going for NYSC program.

Note: There are those that learnt a business and finds it difficult breaking through in it.

that advice you asked him to avoid is what is putting food on my table

When you hear about something especially in a random post ....all you do is to do your own research

What you do might put food on your table but it has taken a lot of food from other people's table, forex, robot and all that might work for a while but on the long run, you are gonna cry

First , I can’t do any physical business with such money, I’m not good at it . Secondly I’ll reinvest half of the money on whatever gave me that money , then buy ethereum with the rest and lock up .. thirdly , if I don’t know what to do with money at hand, I’ll kuku ma use am buy land and forget it cos no matter how long you hold the money , you go spend am and go back to square one .

Modified : , no wonder we’re poor.. look at peoples comments, none of una get good business idea.

It’s one thing to have money, it’s another thing to know what to do with it

Anyway I buy all types of gift cards and funds ( PayPal, skrill) at amazing rate . I’m tested and trusted

Don't say what you don't know mr man, I didn't do any apprenticeship program i.e igba boy but I'm running my business well, same as some of my relatives and many other people I know.

A person from a business oriented home that have managed a business at a point in time, maybe that of his or her parents can run a business successfully with going for "igba boy" as long has he or she is focus, determined and have other necessary values.

Haven't you seen those that went for igba boy that are not doing well?

Go into agro-based business like a poultry if you have up to two plots of land...you'd get your money back within two years of doing poultry...nothing goes to waste....not even the poop from the birds....the eggs are getting ore expensive....when the birds are old you can sell them off as old layer chickens....but be careful not to fall into the hands of scammers....look for someone who knows about the business and partner with him or her
