This thread was full of his fraudulent activity from 2016-2017.
I was also a diaspora person remotely (and visiting) supervising a family project and trying to gain some insight for our project.
from Qc1 to maverick to babalose, 3strikes so many nairaland people especially diaspora that he defrauded.

HIS TRACK RECORD OF BAD AND FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY IS ALL OVER THIS THREAD

-Fake building approval
-Theft of material/fund
-Non completion of contracted work.
-Shoddy/defective work.
-No damp proof course(Building was leaking water from underneath floor)
-False structural work(cement bags in structural concrete)
-Insulting and calling clients names/broke

He has never completed a job as contracted. I though we were successful in showing people his who he is, so they can be informed, unfortunately, another person is in a hole because of him. The first google search of his name is literally fraud.

After my first commercial project that the plumber , electrical person , steel Guy , Cctv , aluminium and others came separately apart from the builder , note that this guys dint do a quarter of some stories I read here , some of them were mad no doubt but I dint have energy for the constant liaising and dealing with issues With many of them


I learnt going forward to give one person mep , Cctv etc and the builder does his thing . While the builder and architect jointly helps supervises the aluminium guys and other works , also employed a full time project supervisor. Some of the contractors from the first project don beg tire . I don’t do stress , life is too short

Basic verifiable information is all you need to make such decisions not emotions. Isn’t that why we all learnt to read and do basic maths? Reason why rhetorical appeal has no place in science, engineering and technology. Standards for measurement like inches, meters etc were developed for empirical evidence. Besides, only a dinosaur would use an approx. of 1.9 inches (2' minus 1/8') x 2 wood for chewing stick.
The average saw blade is about 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick.
But the thick ones like the 1/4 inches blade are used for such job.
That is the most sawdust that would be wasted from that cut
Now divide that into two, you have 1/8 inches loss for each 2x 2 obtained from a 2x 4.

Think about it, how thick is 1/8 inches? That is as flat as a razor blade. Is that what you should be concerned about? 1/8 difference of an inch is relatively very negligible in terms of size. A regular measuring tape is not even calibrated to spot this difference. secondly 2 x2 are mostly for nogging and there are no safety implications patterning to this.

I look at it in terms of savings. At almost #300 difference, multiple that by the quantity and you have enough money for carpentry labour.

Let’s hope that is not even what the supplier would do because that would be your money in another persons pocket for lack of information. .
