Boss crazy things are happening now and I have many reasons to be cautious. And naturally anyone familiar with Are-Ekiti axis will tell you that the place is a desolate area of many heaps.... I'm just been careful.

but recently he has been giving me his home key to go and cook for him. The first time I was surprised because giving your house key to someone you barely know is a bit weird to me but since Monday that I've started the work, I've been to his house 4 times cooking stew or vegetable soup. I'm there right now embarassed embarassed embarassed frying meats.

I am seriously not comfortable with the arrangement but I can't say no because I really need to keep the job and save up. He's married but his wife is not staying with him and cooking and cleaning is the job of a wife not a staff.

Please house how can I stop this whole charade without losing the job?
Are you a woman? If yes, I suggest you let your boss know that you are not comfortable cooking for him at his place. undecided

Suggest that he gives you money to instead cook at your place and deliver it to him at work or someplace else instead. lipsrsealed

Even the open-minded have no reason to ignore caution. She is uncomfortable doing his cooking for him in his space, and in a country like Nigeria, every woman still has to remain cautious around the men. undecided

If he wants to act stupid? She is in his house, and and is dangerous place to be since that is his territory, not hers. undecided

In this life, one lesson I have learned in all my years, and this from observing self and everyone out there, it is always best to err on the side of caution. undecided

He may be your boss, but as an employee and a human, you have a right to always protect yourself. Cooking at home and then delivering to him may seem inconvenient at first but you can maybe ask others for ideas on how to make it work so it works out for you. There are many people who do similar as a side business. undecided

The only time I have access to the man's money is when I take order and every money either coming in or going out is always properly documented. He can not use fucck to settle anything with me cus I don't own him anything.

She can talk him instead into letting her do the cooking in her own comfort zone, her own place, and then she can deliver it to him afterwards or at work the next day. undecided

Growing up in Nigeria, I heard enough of tales to make me know not to advice any individual to try it at all. undecided

Good evening my Romancelanders and Nairalanders. I hope y'all been having a good day?

Here's the thing.

Due to the ASUU strike I decided to get a job around my school instead of going home because Ekiti has become home for me. I resumed work on Monday, that's 6 days ago. I and my boss have not been having any issue. He gives the command and I get the work done but recently he has been giving me his home key to go and cook for him. See my dear lady..

The way to a man's heart is through..

Sooner or later, you both will start developing feelings for each other and it is normal..

Even if he makes sexual advances towards you, accept it. That way, you have trapped him for your financial and promotional gains..

Sex is overrated here in Africa, that's why it is seen as something huge
..
To be sincere with you I'm in a serious, happy relationship.... I and my boyfriend will be 4 years together by May...

Contentment has always been my watchword and it's this contentment is the reason I'm always happy.... One of the reason I made this post out is because I don't want anything that will hurt my relationship and the trust we've built in eachother.... I don't like to gain wealth through means that I can't be proud of.... I made a post on my deactivated account about how I saved up to start a cybercafe business... I was very proud of the business.... That's the kind of life I want for myself.....

Thanks for your advice and concern sir...

Why can't your "long line of relatives" find/offer you a job in Ekiti? cheesy

Like I typed earlier, only irresponsible parents will allow for their child to stay back in school after the suspension of academic activities for as long as a month and a few weeks.

I don't leech on people.... It's not my way.... My parent understand that I'm an young adult with an insatiable thirst for freedom.... My parent trust my maturity, sense of security and responsibility so naturally my parent is at ease with my stay at Ekiti.

Let him know you aren't comfortable cooking in his kitchen.

Ask him to allow you do it in your own house and pack it to the office for him if you think you still need to continue doing the cooking to do your job.

I for one feel it's dangerous going to cook in his house.

Save up and quit!!

When i worked as a waiter, i noticed something. A guy would give his money to the lady to pay to me.

I know the money is not hers, but I'm confident that it's a kind of power play. Something to let the guard of the lady down. You know to give her this pseudo feeling of power (wife to be) when in reality the guy is just toying with her mind.

when i read the post first, i thought it was your job to cook. Until i read some clarification made by you. To me, i think some advances would come. He is probably waiting for you to soften up. The moment he gets the slightest hint of "Na me dey cook for this house" vibe from you.. Booom!!!!!!

Either that or the man dey use you as house help for free.
