It depends on what you aim to achieve.

Msc will have taught core and optional modules and a thesis (usually 3months) at the end of the course.

While MRes is a completed thesis based on an independent research project. You will work independently with the support of a supervisor. You may also do some training courses on research.


You can't compare both,it's like comparing oranges to apples.

The current one I’m working with since February, 2018 is a formal organization with employment and any relevant evidences needed available.

Would evidence from current job suffices to attach to my visa application ?

Reference from your current employer is fine.

Usually if it’s recommended for rejection, lazy Nigerian supervisors will not check if you have met the requirements before they completely reject you. So you have to reapply from start.

But if it’s recommended for approval pending the documents, then you can upload and it will be checked before approval.

You can try going to the branch and see if you can meet the reviewer/supervisor tho.. but I wouldn’t count much on it too.

These supervisors are just bunch of lazy workers! Imagine applications will be under supervisors queue for 2 to 3 weeks are they won't act on it. I went there and they said its head office that verify supervisor stage.

Your documents are sent to UKVI by your sponsor. It is not mandatory to upload those docs by the applicant in their visa application because UKVI has assigned those powers to the HEP to assess you and request for CAS through UKVI after sending your docs to them. However, please upload because others made it a norm.
Also note it's PBS. Having a CAS is 50points, 10points from English language (which is also in your CAS) that's 60points already.and remaining 10points is for POF( this is where most of the visa denials come from) because it must be verified.

Kindly see the UKVI student route guide that states you don't need to send your qualifications if your sponsor is HEP.

Using fly wire’s details for form A doesn’t mean the process would be fast, the number of days stated on fly wire is the normal duration an international payment should go through.

You’re using the authorization document as invoice and you will include the reference while filing your name or include it in your authorization letter to your bank.

If you’ve been granted visa without uploading any documents, do let us know how you went about it cause even the school would tell you to submit the same documents you used for CAS for visa. To each his own I guess.

Hmm...Heard this too, infact someone quoted me a while ago discouraging me from going for public health, and they stated exactly that too, not too many opportunities in that area, a family friend in UK also said that too. So I decided to focus my search on biomedical science for January/February intake.

public is only good for those with professional medical degree that can get licensed in their field like medical Laboratory Scientist, pharmacist, radiographers etc. The degree is to get into UK faster and then do necessary license procedure and start applying for job. If you are not In a licensed medical field here, don't go for public health

Mres is advised if your goal is to pursue a PhD after especially applying to schools like USA that will need good research experience. But if you don't have goal of going into further research then pick the regular Msc

self service means you upload them yourself before getting to the VAC, assisted service means they will help you upload it.
