I was under the impression we would be drying the peels here, not the actual plantains themselves.

It wouldn’t have made sense to try to ship to it anyone far away due to cost of shipping so I was even thanking him for taking off my hands.

Others...I just arranged them well in the cupboard.
You give away and then buy another new one - unless you haven't visited the store

If only I can go to my neighbors and take theirs to use then I will just be gadgets free.

My juicer and bread maker are also collecting dust . They are kinda big and I want smaller easy to clean pieces. I got rid of my deep frier because I want a new different colored one. At one point I was trying to color match stuff so I ended up with a few double gadgets .
But otherwise I use everything else. Air fryer, mixer. processor etc.
I’ve been working on being prudent and not being a hoarder. It’s kinda hard because pretty stuff keeps stocking the shelves.

But sometimes all you need is a pot and a stove and that’s it

I don't know about the yam peel being used. I thought dried yam for amala.

Not dry peel for plantain but the plantain itself. Dried and grind for plantain amala.

When I was a kid, our neighbors used to dry yam peels and said it was used in making the dark kind of elubo.

I see - plantain amala is very dark. I like eating it with stew or melon stew.

I feel like you’ve posted home made bread here more than I can count so I’m convinced you’ll use it often.

If you buy a good brand, it will last years so even if you don’t use it everyday, whenever you want to use it, you can whip it out and not worry if it will work or not.

I have. The only times I bought bread last year and this year are the first week of relocation. I enjoy making our bread and truly, so mixer would make it more convenient.
