really? KLM now requires transit Visa? i didn't know they had changed . I have always used KLM from Ghana without transit visa till like 2018, in 2020 i used British Airways which i didn't like at all. when did KLM they start this transit visa wahala? i was going to book KLM, will need to call their office here to confirm this .

My issue too is flight ticket now, British airways and virgin is very expensive now, klm, air France and Lufthansa need transit visas and I am now left with qatar, Ethiopian, Egypt , Turkish, Rwanda and the likes that are kind of affordable

It is true. Came into effect last year January.

Note that Egyptair, if you have a long haul (need to stay over night) they book a hotel accommodation for you with feeding. Might be stressful but you end up seeing a small portion of Cairo.

After you have finished your studies, get an ELIGIBLE work visa (SWV, GTV) and then count 5 years (SWV) or 3 years (GTV), then apply for ILR, wait 1 year, then apply for citizenship. Not that the 3/5 year count has to be continuous without any 6 month period outside the UK within any 1 year period.

NB; Things that changed from my letter

1. I reduced the duration from 7 days to 5 days
2. Reduced Accomodation to 70K from 150K and backed it up with booking reservation
3. Reduced living expenses from 100K to 50K
4. Got an unexpected salary increment I had to update.

I needed up applying later than I intended because I was waiting on a sponsor but when that fell through, I just had to wing it.

Thanks to everyone. I've been a lurker on this thread for a very long time, and it helped me start preparing my mind early.

Hello all,

Please I need your advice and how to go about it.
I am a student in the UK, and my wife and daughter are my dependents. They joined me in January. We want to invite my mother-in-law. My wife works with two agencies since she came till now (no offer letters but payslips plenty), and also got a full-time job, which she just started in May (offer letter stating her salary per annum). She will be the one to sponsor her mother’s trip. and I will be the one to invite her. Here is my question:
1). 3k pounds is sitting in her account, like how much can she use to sponsor her mother.
2). My mother-in-law, has 500k savings in her account. But all her trips will be fully sponsored. Is that enough?
3). What kind of reason can we present to display the importance of her visiting us. Although the real situation is, that I’ve got a 3 months internship that requires me to travel to another city for almost 5 hours journey. So I want her mother to come so that it will be easy for my wife to manage her work and daughter. Childminder fee is not a joke.

Please note: She’s working in one of the universities in Nigeria. She’s got a deferred leave letter to use. So she is genuinely going back.

I need experience and how to file for her without any issues.

Thanks alot bro.but I don't know how this Form A thing work. I don't have the schools bank account details. But I have sent them an email to ask for their bank details if that's what I'll be needing. And if I can get the dollar card I think it would be easier so I can Just pay online

if you bought the service a tracking number (waybill) will be given to you at tls 10 digital number check the collection slip they give you
