I did Casualty officer for 3 years,once a very unstable patient comes in,you will see even the most senior of them start fidgeting,the others will immediately carry that their big report book and start writing reports, looking at the clock and documenting the time every 30 seconds to make sure they leave a documentation that will absolve them of any blame in case the patient doesn't make it.
The rest will start answering you ehh? ehh?

But tomorrow they will start rubbing shoulders with doctors.

Its because of people like you that the Country is not moving forward. This poor, wretched mentality has to stop. A nurse that goes to study nursing in a university or even a school of nursing you say is 'mere'. Please come off it. Do you know how many times doctors strike and nurses still hold the hospital. We are all equally important in the health care system and can't do without each other. Imagine your mother was sick and you take her to the hospital and the doctors are on strike, won't you beg for the nurse to attend to you. Her problem is that the doctor is a house officer(the most junior) and probably a very young person, meanwhile probably earns far higher than her,forgetting that d form for medical school is out on sale every year.
Typically, if a doctor comes into the ward for a procedure or even ward round,a nurse is supposed to follow them.(to observe, assist,take note of instructions made about the patient etc)
If it is a case of a procedure like d above scenario,after the procedure, the nurse is supposed to call the attendant attached to the ward to clean up,that is their job.
But in d zoo,everyone likes to overreach themselves.
Then u know women and their wahala,if it were even d highest ranking male nurse in that hospital, this issue wouldn't have arisen.

Nursing is a professional course that has it own peculiarities. Nurses are not doctors assistants, though some of our roles are intertwined. Nursing has its own cadre and organogram which isn't headed by a doctor. Its mostly in Nigeria that people think that nurses are doctors assistant because of deliberate lack of exposure of people just to berate the nursing profession. Nursing as a profession and discipline is independent and exists on its own.

I don't care whatever you write but am sure you can neither be married to a sane man or you're not even fit foe marriage because of this your essentric attitude. Are you the only or the first person that will be a nurse? what do you people do in the hospital sef.

75% of the day most nurses gossip. And reinforce their mentality in how to insult and harrass a patient and their relative and discredit the doctors at any slight opportunity as if they can do anything outside the doctors directives. The doctors do most of the job. They are just too many of them in most hospitals wasteful addition to the medical profession and drawing money they never worked for.

Tell me if you have ever seen an idle doctor before. Senseless to say the least, you and your people even have time to attend cooperative meetings and buy and sell in most major hospitals.
