legenduq:Thank you for your response. I have already ordered for my gcms notes. I am expecting it this week. Tuition for 2 years is around 29k CAD. I have paid 15.5k for the first year. I also have 12k CAD for upkeep for a year and a balance of 17million Naira in my sponsors(hubby) account. I am going alone. I have 2 kids. How do you think I can explain the movement of money from account in Bank A to Bank B without it seeming like bulk fund. Note that the funds are ours. It’s been in operation for years and no strange bulk amount is in it. Thank you. Anticipating more response. |

This is so so funny lmao . First thing first , Please who is this person? You need to save other people that might fall for this too. Secondly, What documents has this agent shared with you? Since he terms it as his “intellectual property” Which one is “you don’t think you’ll be able to balance him because of some financial issue “ You’re still explaining yourself to someone you don’t know and hasn’t started working on your application officially lmao. I feel like that’s the cause of the whole issue . You should have just told the person you won’t like to proceed anymore and that you’ll leave the 100k you already paid as payment for all the idea and his time that he invested , full stop. You don’t need to start telling him you’ll do it yourself and you’re already getting info from Nairaland. Only1boy: |

Only1boy:You shouldn't be afraid to name the person here on this platform to warn others that might fall victim. The police is always there if he or she threatens you. I think I might be able to guess who the person is. Does the person username start with S and ends with G ? If your answer is yes then leave the rest to me and I will expose him here. |

Only1boy:Bro, there's nothing to be worried about. From the way he sounded, it's very obvious that he has a dubious attitude. Such person might even jeopardize your application if you later allowed him to handle it. And the funny part of it is that, all those information he claimed to be his "intellectual property" were all gotten here and i'm sure the person targets only newbies. You can't find him answering other people's questions apart from newcomers. And lastly, kindly drop his username and phone number if possible, so that other people can avoid him like plague. |

So you are not going to name the person? You want other unsuspecting newbie to fall victim? This is my opportunity to say it again - you don't need anyone to submit this application for you. Read this thread and the IRCC website diligently and you will find all the information you need to apply successfully by yourself no matter how complex you think your situation is. But if for any reason you are overwhelmed to apply by yourself then use people that has been verified by their testimonials on this thread not some dude that showed up this year to start posturing like he's knowledgeable about Canada visa application. Person wey never complete one successful application for themselves or anyone for that matter wan begin dey guide newbie. No be like blind leading the blind be that? By the way ignore the threats. He's just bluffing to cower you into silence and pay the balance. Only1boy: |

LANDING GIST I got to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by past 11am for my flight to Toronto with Egyptair by 3pm, please weigh your bags or just prepare your mind to pay for extra bags the airline is not joking oh it must not be 24kg, it can be 23.5 or something but not just 24kg I had to be 66k for extra luggage, one of the airline agents there was behaving quite rudely and I was already tensed so I was just nastily glaring at him then he started to joke that I am his Benin sister I shouldn’t be angry blah blah that they have a lot of work, I just told him to take it easy. We got to Egypt by past 8pm our flight to Toronto that was suppose to leave by 1:55am was pushed to 4:40am I couldn’t sleep, make flight no go leave me LOL… sha just walked around the airport, used Wi-Fi and my brother from home through the phone basically kept me company. Then it was time to board, my people the flight to Toronto is long, I mean it is looonnggg plus the cold inside the plane, ah I still have catarrh and cough because of it…at one point ehn I was like is the pilot not even tired ? Because me that was sleeping and waking I was exhausted, the food was just there with sap much bread plus orange juice.. I really liked their orange juice . We got to Toronto by past 10am so this is where my anxiety started dancing within me, I am naturally an anxious person so this didn’t help me at all. Got to the declaration machine, I had already declared on the arrive can so I just placed my passport and printed my declaration form out then it was time for Immigration. So my visa is expiring in august because I was deferred and the new LOA didn’t come out on time so I couldn’t upload so I was really jittery about this, the queue was quite long so when it got to my turn the officer asked why I didn’t upload the new LOA and I said it didn’t come out on time so he just gave additional time and told me to extend it to cover my entire school duration. My aunty came to pick me and they still haven’t taken the light A part of me still can’t believe I am here, but I am seeing a lot of white people and everywhere is really quite so I know I am not in Nigeria too I am extremely thankful to my family and this platform. |

Good day House, Apology for long post! I want to use this opportunity to reply the allegation leveled against me by the person who goes by the name of FANIHUN OLUWATOBI aka Only1boy on this platform. INTRODUCTION Weeks ago, he contacted me and sought for my help in answering some questions he had regarding admission and visa application. I answered some of his questions. He thanked me and we ended the conversation. Meanwhile, it is my usual advice to people that they can apply for admission and do visa application by themselves. Days later, he came back asking me some questions which he claimed he couldn't get answers to on Nairaland. He chatted me up on WhatsApp at an odd hour, when I couldn't respond due to the fact that I was sleeping, he called and woke me. I spoke with him and told him if he wanted me to handle the application, he could let me. We both agreed on #300k for both admission and visa application. He said he was gonna pay the following morning, but I didn't hear back from him. About two or three weeks later, he contacted me again and told me, he had secured admission and that we should renegotiate. I told him I would collect #200k for visa application only. Initially, I didn't want to accept his work: he, himself, even noticed from my tone of chatting. He asked why I was so mean. After discussing, I agreed to collect #150k upfront, he begged again to pay #100k upfront, I agreed and he paid #100k the following morning. WHERE WE STARTED HAVING PROBLEM. He asked me to assist explain his POF. I narrated possible ways through which he can present is POF. The funny thing is he was full of lies as he never allowed me to know his source of lump sum. Today, he would claim his great grandpa died and they share his inheritance: tomorrow, it is gonna be crypto. Since I wasn't an officer of EFCC, why should I be digging deep? HE ASKED ME TO MANUFACTURE REASONS FOR HIS SOURCE OF INCOME AND LUMP SUMS. Immediately I told him agent is not supposed to manufacture POF for you, he started giving me attitude. Also, he would call or chat at odd hours and expect me to always reply when I had told him my work hour is 8 am to 6pm daily. I set this time for him because he had almost sniffed life out of me within the first few days he paid with unnecessary discussions that may take 2 hours. I endured incontestable patience as I always feel I shouldn't abruptly end discussion with him. ANOTHER TEST OF PATIENCE After undergoing all the rigorous time, sharing of information and putting him through how to go about visa application, he even asked me to falsify documents for him which I declined and gave advice how documents falsification can lead to 5 year ban. About one or two weeks ago, because I had declined his request of document falsification, he said he was no more interested in dealing with me. He even claimed I should return #50k out of the #100k he had paid me. Patiently, I asked why he wanted to end this contract with me. He claimed I have not been giving him my time. I replied him that I had advised on everything needed to proceed, I informed him I was waiting for him so I can just finalise the application by filling the necessary forms and submit the application. I had given him all the necessary list of documents needed and every of my intellectual property that will assist him. (I CLAIM INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ON EVERYTHING LIKE ADVICE AND GIFT DEED AND OTHERS I GAVE TO HIM AS MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY BECAUSE HE COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN THE ADVICE AND TIME ELSEWHERE FREE OF CHARGE) YESTERDAY JULY 3. He chatted me saying he would not be able to pay me the balance. Then I replied he should pay the balance whether or not he is proceeding because I knew his reason was not genuine. He has been nursing the mission since weeks ago: because he had no way to escape, that is why he is making up this untenable excuse now. MY NAME. To others who listened to one side of the story and started calling me names indirectly or directly, I will leave you to God. It saddens my heart that the public does not know some of you had contacted me in the past and got my advice free of charge. Perhaps you are eager to say negative things about me because I stopped offering you my advice when your disturbance was getting too much. @Bobomaigida, I salute you for your wisdom. If anyone here has a claim against me, he/she should come forward: I have my name to protect. If I have in one way or another defrauded or stolen anything from anyone here, I want you to come up and say it now. I also beg you to please say something about what you know about me if you have had business with me in the past either paid or casual discussion. BUSINESS DEALINGS I want the public to advise whether or not agreeing to stand as a representative in visa application or in applying for admission is an offence or a thing worthy to tag as fraud. Congratulations. I want to ask, did you withdraw your hubby's previous visit visa application before reapplying with him again? [qquote author=ShallyK post=114384527] My Story This dream started in 2011 during NYSC and with no one to finance my study abroad plans, at that time, I didn't know about Canadian schools with full scholarship as I finished with a 4.17 CGPA. So I aborted mission in 2014 when I got a better job. Thou from 2011, I had started saving aggressive for my immigration plans, in between then and now, I have travelled to the US twice and once to Canada for holiday. The plan was to build travel history and migrate legitimately. Imagine my shock when I got my first study permit refusal Jan this year. Got gingered in 2017 when my Sister and her family were reallocating to Canada via PR, started the process, score not sufficient for ITA, took a PGD course in 2019 to boost, while waiting for ITA, age took off points, then Covid happened in 2020. I decided to try Canadian visit visa since they were favouring family of PR and Citizens, so I applied and got the visa in 2021. Went to Canada and fell in love with the place and people. It was during this trip I started to consider other routes of migration to Canada, then the study pathway came up during my research. I looked it up on Nairaland, found this thread when it was in part 18 and started reading and following people's stories. I got admission to Fanshawe for Jan 22, defered to May 22 cos of late payment of deposit. I wanted hubby to come with me, so I delayed applying for study permit till Nov21 while he applied for visit visa in Oct, then the waiting started for both of us. I was so sure I will get the visa as I still had a valid Canadian visit visa and been to the USA twice, but that didn't count ooo cos I got denied on the 30th Jan22. Honestly I panicked! The only reason they gave was personal assets and financial status, I was shocked because I paid tuition deposit, had N12m statement, earn over 500k monthly, N2m Sukuku bond. I ran to Nairaland, opened this account and solicited for help. I got several reponses, thanks to everyone. What I did differently Requested for my GCMS using my sister's email. I know this will take 30 days so I used the wait period to pay my tuition balance via form A and bought 12kCAD GIC. Also, during the wait, I went to renew my international passport as it was expiring in June. Unfortunately, my BVN was in my husband's name so I had to do change of name before passport could be renewed. All these activities took my mind off the visa refusal. When the note came Feb ending, it showed the document submitted does not support funds will be available or sufficient. I reapplied 18th March and added my hubby to my application as we were yet to get response to his visit visa application that was submitted Oct21. Documents Submitted I applied via the new portal on the 18th of March Study Permit (Mine) SOP - stated strongly that I have fully paid tuition and bought GIC of 12k for my living expenses, talked about the course I am going for and how it will help boost my current career. Mentioned my hometies: parents and other siblings, job (earn close to 600k, did not get letter from office but used my employment letter and payslip), hubby and the Sukuku bond. BSC & PGD certificates and Car documents were also submitted. Past visa pages with stamps to show travel history. Financial Proof (self sponsored) - Full tuition fee receipts, GIC certificate, 4 months payslip, 4 months bank SOA with less than N3m balance, Pension SOA, Sukuku Bond certificate. Visit Visa (Hubby) SOP - stated he was going to help me settle, get accommodation and do the run around. Also that he having the visa will give him some form of rest of mind back home in Nigeria as it will enable him easily travel to me in case of any emergency I encounter over there. Home Ties - his aged mother and siblings (he did not include their birth certificate or pictures), Job ( letter of introduction stating he is entitled to 25 days leave), 4 months payslip, Salary and Savings SOA (both combined were less than N2m) Proof of Financial - SOA, payslip, my full tuition fee and my GIC certificate (both to show I am not a liability to him). My SOA ( I wrote a letter of support that I will be accommodating him in Canada and also purchase his ticket), so my GIC of 12k was evidence of that and my SOA is were the flight ticket will be purchased. We did a table in the financial proof letter to show he will handle his PTA N300k and indicated the account that will come from. Also showed cost of the flight ticket which was about N515k and tallies with the holding ticket we attached, we indicated that will come from my own savings account. On invitation, he stated he was visiting spouse, he used Fanshawe address as the address he is visiting. We attached an holding flight ticket, to show how much it will cost and his duration of visit (3 weeks). Marriage certificate He does not have any travel history. After submission, we started waiting and hoping approval will come in April cos school resumes in May. I did not send any email, was just hoping and praying. Last week in April, I had to defer my admission again, I got the new LOA (Jan22) on the 13th of May. I sent it immediately via email and web to Nairobi, then 20th of May, BVL dropped for both hubby and I and PPR for hubby. I wasn't surprised I didnt get PPR, recall I said my passport was expiring in June. I still had not gotten the renewed passport as at then. Picked up my new passport now in Hubby's name on the 26th May and sent it via webform and email to nairobi that same day. There was no response, a week after I resent it alongside my marriage certificate, change of name Affidavit and newspaper Publication.... Just to show its still me. Still no response, so I gave them two week....nothing. I started sending weekly emails and webform to Abuja, Lagos and Nairobi...then yesterday BVL and PPR dropped and they both indicated my new name. It ended in praise! For those still waiting, it will surely end in praise. Ps: My long story is just to encourage someone out there and for people to learn from my experience. This is my way of giving back to all I got here on Nairaland right from when I applied for my first USA visa in 2015 till this very day. . [/quote] |
