What were you doing all this while with your life? Are you sick or crippled? Can't you hustle hard to leave your parent's house?

@24 I was already living on my own and paying my bills. Infact 2 weeks after my nysc @24 I was on my way to Ghana to join HK to learn yahoo.

Now, I'm very close to your age and I'm living a good life. You better go and hustle.. It's either you learn a skill or you go learn yahoo to make your life better and stop depending on your certificate.

If you're 18 years old on this forum reading my comment, you better start hustling at your young age now (learn a skill or do yahoo).. Don't depend too much on your parents or certificates, So that you won't end up like this op.

I dey hustle everyday.. I no dey sleep

So for your mind doing fraud is now a job, chai I pity your generation. Criminal.

is not about age of you being a 30yrs man, can you be responsible for a rent, nepa bills and some petty contributions to fix things in the compound yet? if no

you dont need an apartment first, you need a source

at 30yrs you don't have an apartment, failure? No

at 30yrs you don't have a stable income, failure? not really

get source first then others will follow, left house when I was 23yrs though

op you have two options.

1. If you are a graduate, pray and go looking for a job. It could be a Hotel job sef. atleast they pay 40k and above. There is dignity in labour.
You can give car service a trial... if you cant do it in the city you grow up in, due to feeling embarrassed, please relocate to a place where you have family members that can accommodate you.

I want you to understand there is no clear-cut smooth path to success in life. Its a forest and we are all trying to survive, cater for our families and be successful. I subscribe to the school of thought.... Obatala-school of thought

2. Bro pray. in all things, prayers work. regardless how tough situations are in life, always pray. If need be my guy, you fit link up with one or two dibia or babalawo for guidiance. Every Igwe has a dibia, every Eze has an Ezenmo... this life requires sense
me sef don even pass your age but i know the powers behind this universe will assist me one day.

P.S ... i am also going though the toughest phase of my life. i really hope things change for the better soon.

uncle how will u advice him to visit babalawo or dibia, after telling him to pray ? The first paragraph and adivce was well said buh u come spoil the whole adivce with babalawo and dibia stuff uncle why na

First of all, I am not your dear. Secondly, I have not made an assertion on any political leader. Thirdly, the backdrop or recession in a nation, shouldn't efface integrity amongst youths. I know someone who persistently for years, kept on applying for hundreds of jobs in Nigeria and his tenacity paid off recently, where he was got a permanent job worth several millions of naira per year. He refused to concede to crime despite his several trials.

You live in Nigeria and perhaps haven't visited any Western country and witness the form of reception meted to Nigeria passport holders. If you support misdeeds, illegal activities such as Yahoo, participate or encourage it, you and your generation will know no peace.

Shalom.
The leaders have a moral duty to impend integrity on the populace. Nigeria is known as the poverty capital of the world and most corrupt country in Africa. This is in the midst of plentiful resources both human and material.
If integrity pays you fine but it doesnt pay buhari, it doesnt pay tinubu, it doesnt pay atiku, it doesnt pay obi.
Every man should follow their interest. What pays you go ahead you have God to answer.
Your hypocrisy is too much and I dont think it would benefit the ordinary man on the street.
If you give me an example of a guy who applied several jobs to get millions, I can tell you of a guy who crashed 50 million naira bike because his father is the president, I can tell you of a guy who bought 2022 bmw model because his father is Peter obi.
Those guys dont care about integrity. Or is the accountant general that stole 80 billion and has been left off the hook while young people are languishing in their house because of ASUU strike. You think the AGF care about them, you think Akpabio cares about NDDC students who are sleeping in the UK cold. It is cold outside. Let everyman do what will make him happy. You can continue in the integrity lane if is what would make you happy.
If passport holders face discrimination is because of the failure of leadership. Every country in the world commits fraud but Nigeria institutionalized their own. Even in England corrupt activities go on a daily basis but their passport holders dont face discrimination because of you do that, boris johnson will fight you to the last.

You have not failed yet. First thing find a friend and go to them even if you are maltreated be there But begin to source out plans so you can find money. Not yahoo yahoo. Crypto, middle for shops, work for a restaurant, hotel etc. You lucky will find you. I left home when I was close to 29. And I'm doing not bad at all right now on my own. So many ups and down along but at the end.

Stop beating yourself up. Just be a responsible adult.
Support your parents who host you financially and start saving towards your desire to live alone.
If you are bent on moving out, you can start small.
Look for a single room apartment in a safe area of town and grow organically into a bigger apartment.
The problem with Nigerians is that the always want to start big.
I believe there are face-to-face apartments that cost as low as 5k a month in some areas of Lagos.

I left my parent house at a much older age, and i was already making millions, i just didn't find any need to leave yet., I bought my first car and land in my parent's house. But i made sure i spend a minimum of 500k on their house yearly, this is enough for me to rent a decent mini flat in lagos, one year i fenced the compound , another year i put a roller gate, another year I floored the compound. Living with my parent helped me reduced being too promiscuous at that time because they monitor every female that comes to visit and that helped my life to a great extent. No friend or girl would label me as being broke because it was evident that i could afford my own apartment but i chose to stay for my own personal reasons.

Stop the cap and face life reality. its not living with or outside your parent's house that determines your success in life. Keep doing something.

God bless you

CaveAdullam:
1. Calm down man. It is not easy anywhere in the world, especially in Africa, and Nigeria. But we do think it's always greener on the other side of the fence.

2. The economic and political terrain has been ruffled by corrupt leaders and politicians, hence, the current problem we are facing. Now we all can understand that it is not doing what makes you happy but what is the right thing.

3. The exacerbation of our predicament is also due to the prevalence of social media, we see the few successful people making headlines, all of the news and in every post and we do think we are failures. The reality is that these few people gained success either by chance, hard work, or charity from friends and family.

4. As a result of the effect of social media on the economic state of the nation, fraudulent activities have taken over, now a teenager who doesn't measure up to your level of intellect and exposure is the one now dictating the tune of the piper. It is a sad reality.

5. As humans, we only have a tiny control over how our lives go. But many do think that we can get whatever we desire by positive thinking and working hard all day. Though, there are some truths in the statement but not the whole truth.

A. You don't have control over the country you will be born.

B. You don't have control over your genetics.

C. You don't have control over your government.

D. You don't have control over the economy; you can't dictate peoples' buying and selling tendencies. The market is way emotional.

E. You can't dictate the legislature.

F. You don't choose your family, and can't even control them to the extent you want.

G. Different things cumulate and they are the deciding factors of our lives; our decisions and positive thinking are all that we have got to manage ourselves amidst the changes and storms of life.

6. It is not easy, but you must start from somewhere. It is hard for the ones enabling themselves not to talk of the unemployed, depressed and suicidal.

7. Look within, what do you have? What can you do? Where are you at the moment? Use this to start planning.

8. Don't set any resolution or target, you don't have control over the circumstances of life and how people will behave. The goal now is to engage in something worthy and start planning and building from there.

9. Life is filled with joy and laughter; peace and war; hope and anxiety, failures and success. You may be on the negative side of life today, and maybe tomorrow you will be on the positive side - it is all hope and a coping mechanism but we wish the good for ourselves and our loved ones.

10. Connect with people that are better than you. Go to places where you will either gain knowledge or money, or both. But better to remain in solitude than mingle with those who won't sharpen your life and experience.

11. If You want a beautiful edifice, start laying the foundation.

Time and chance happen to them all.

Thanks.

You said it all bro
