This Greenwich Registrar seem to be one of the worse registrars I have had to deal with.

Usually, only cash dividend has a specific payment date, bonuses are credited into the cscs accounts of those qualified anytime after SEC approves the bonus. Investors may not know precisely when it will happen. You can always check your cscs once in a while to know when your bonus shares are credited.
This is a general rule. However, the time between the closure date and crediting of investors' accounts varies but be sure it will be credited since it has been approved by shareholders at the AGM

Very serious...

Not an MFB, as we don't want to be collecting deposit money. Strictly a Finance House, for emphasis, a lending licensed Finance House.

Please is anyone here very close to any of the officials of African Prudential Registrar?
The desk officers have made me to send so many documents over and over again.
Now, they have refused to communicate me further on whether I have met their requirements or not.
Any time i called them, they told me they would send me a mail; and they would not.
The registrar has not been paying dividends on my stocks under their supervision for a long time.
I don't want to start taking official actions yet; you know such process can be stressful. Can anyone help?

Complete the mandate form and drop with your bank,
Or let your stockbroker process share transfer form.
Send the processed transfer form to the registrar copying cscs، this is what I did and I got swift resolution.

I found out that my Axa Mansard was removed from my portfolio when I asked my broker they said it’s not registered in CSCS. I found out that axa mansard readjusted their shares last year. I had 200,000 shares last year. Sold 50,000 from balance 150,000. All of a sudden it disappeared. My MTN shares also disappeared. I have been disturbing my broker. All they keep telling me is that they are working on it. A few days ago, the MYN shares appeared together with UPREIT ( UPREIT- which I don’t have in my portfolio and I have never bought before). After somedays both the MTN and UPREIT disappeared again. Please what else should I do? Apart from waiting for my broker?

Who is your broker

Did for Afriprudential, first registrar, Coronation, and mainstream, it was swift and smooth. But you the ones mentioned earlier, they can frustrate body, spirit and soul. Thanks!

Have you? There is a difference between reading a few reported rumors here and there and actually reading the facts.

It seem he speculated with other people's moneys, buying businesses some of which were not even quoted on d stock exchange at the time. The markets seem to have consolidated his wealth not creat it.

Picture this - I quit my day job and start a business that is lucrative and make 400 millions in let's say 10 years. Now with my wealth I start investing in stocks and bonds targeting 12 to 13% in dividends, if I am lucky I get 20% with price appreciation.

Even though in d next 10 year my investments may have doubled, it is quite different from cost averaging a few hundreds of thousands or even a few millions (Naira grin) a year from savings out my annual salary. The later will see me creating wealth in my old age if i am lucky, who wants dat grin

To think I will see GTCO at 20.40 again for no reason except foreign investors’ pullback. That’s one good entry opportunity.

Zenith looks great at 21.80 too.

MTN should behave and come within range, 220 isn’t so bad.

WAPCO at 26 is mouth watering.

STANBIC shouldn’t act so tough, 29 is where we need it to be at this time.

Do you see NGX too? 22.20?

Consumers should act accordingly and slide down for a bit - Flourmill, Nestle, Cadbury, BUAFOODS.

Please look out and take these opportunities as they come.

I have alot of bias for MTN. I love their yearly growth rate in terms of revenue and profit 30-40% since their issues with buhari. They have also been proactive in maintaining relevance and keeping up with their competitors. The recently launched mobile bank, and their 5g licence is testimony to their positive intentions.
HOWEVER, the politics of the day, the global economic movement, the decentralization of mtn shareholding by its parent company, the regulatory issues form our incompetent government especially in the area of nim/sim merger and deactivation and all other selfish and irrelevant policies will surely affect them.
Disclaimer: I am heavy in Mtn but not too optimistic. I just dey save for future hoping that a real government will emerge some day.

From my experience, most stocks with financial end of year as December, their share price is always lowest from may to end of July.

The lull in the market is as a result of people taking profit from dividend declared earlier in the year.

I believe there will be a rally from end of July/early August when second quarter results start coming out.

I am speaking from historical data.

Did you contact Veritas to ask why you have not received your dividend?

I know these registrars are crazy and lazy but if you are persistent you will get your dividend.

Call and send emails.

I will advise everyone to play the market base on their investment objectives not others' perspectives.

No matter the state of the market investors/traders always believe it can go further down when it's down or it can rally more no matter how high. Also, we always have investors with their different junctions of entering a particular stock at any time which may never happen.
I remember when MTN was 90 some people were waiting at 50 junction, I guess they are still waiting while some junction was 25 for GTB when it was close to 40 today the price is even lower.

In all get your objectives right and you will be fine.

One of the disadvantages of holding cash especially if you are not very disciplined is that it could be diverted most times to liabilities. So buying a stock at a price that gives you a dividend yield of over 12% will not be a bad entry no matter what the price is saying. Yes better with a lower price but it's also risky to have cash lying idle because of inflation and the possibility of cash diversion. Just as in the popular saying idle mind is the devil's workshop Idle cash attracts liabilities.
