They know that it is not easy there too
But then I don't understand why our African brothers over there will never encourage or advice someone willing to move. Is it envy or greediness or what? I've never had any of my guy abroad encourage me to move when I asked for advice. If things are difficult over there, why not come home?

The Indians i observe finish school very quickly, their research is very fast, because they have great competition in their country, only the best become professors, and the Indian government pays them millions, due to their strong research base and knowledge. American and other multinational companies pay their best students to come and work in their countries. Because of the investment in education and encouraging the best students, Indians are much in the multinational companies, and America is interested in them, due to their very strong skills.

skills and knowledge is very important.

Many want to go abroad with little skill sets and they are not calm and cooperative. It is not easy for greedy little minded and self centered people. cheesy cheesy cheesy.

due to our self centered and greedy nature you can see how the country is, nobody cooperates to help his community and people, only him and herself

AnthonyAk:

False , most Indians (and asians) here are lazy, gangsters or into drugs in fact the good ones are the ones that are fresh off the boat like us. They suffer from the Canadian condition

I used to think the same thing about them and Asians until I became lab partners with a group of them these fuckers did nothing the entire semester it was only because I went to speak to the professor and even then he was very laid back. Any other class str8 F or incomplete without a project

Most people refuse to come back not because of they don't want to , They are afraid of how the society will see them ..

Imagine telling your guys that you are going to Canada then after some months , You come empty handed .. haaa .. You reason am nahh..

Ordinary your village you day go , u go buy full bag.. Make them no go see you as failure , How much more Overseas?

This is the absolute truth, most of them from poor families think traveling abroad means there is easy bread around, not knowing most Nigeria's do side husle like working in mortuary to meet up.. but allow the Fools to learn though

The sad thing about Nigeria now is that people are just looking to survive. It doesn't appear there is any ambition any more. If you are ambitious why would you want to japa? Nigeria has a population of over 200 Million. If you can't make it in Nigeria then the odds are you won't make it anywhere else. There a lot of false assumption. To really establish yourself in country like UK, it will take at least 10 years . If you are coming to the UK at 30 then you will only just start making it by around age 40. There are lots of young Nigerians here who are just sitting down not doing anything just like eran eleya waiting for a buyer. There are no short cuts in life. Life is difficult in Nigeria but it is also difficult everywhere as a black person you will be at the back of the queue.

There are lots of young Nigerians who seems to be making it.

Find his own way? Remember, we rise by lifting others up. I experienced same thing the poster was saying three years ago. I have a cousin who lives abroad. He has been there for a decade now and i only asked him to just help with an invite while i pay for every money that will be spent and i will work things out when i get there. Note: I'm paying for everything. This my cousin kept on giving me stories like it's not easy there that i shouldn't come. He even said i should use the money i had with me to start a business in Nigeria instead of coming there. I was like why are you still there if it's not easy? I just bone him and block him on every social platforms. A year after, i went to an agent to help on a Canadian Visa but i was duped. I'm looking forward to doing all by myself when i'm ready to go on the adventure again without involving any agent and when the soup is done, i would unblock that my cousin, so that he can see that what he failed to help me with has been achieved.

Nobody owes you anything young man. You sound so entitled. That said, have you considered what it will take this so called cousin to invite you over?

How is your relationship with this so called cousin? How often do you relate with each other?

For your cousin to invite you over, it will cost him a few bucks, and he might need to take a leave from work so he could process your coming.

A lot of things are involved, and it's nothing but inconvenience for the one inviting you. It's not about having money to pay everything, will you also pay for his transport and loss of wages should he leave work to process the documents?

Only someone you have an amiable relationship with will be kind enough to help you.

Can you say that again please. "REALITY OF LIFE". Abroad is over hyped that average Nigerians would love to move back home but too scared to do so. You miss lots from home and have little to show for it after paying your bills in abroad. Nobody likes to save money for 3 years and come home to spend it for 3 weeks. I pity some friends that goes to work and pick another shifts just to stay afloat cos people keep asking them for money.
I own my business and still not enjoy US. Just tired and wish Naija can just be like SA and I for carry my bag the next day but Naija na die....

These past weeks, I've been reaching out to my friends who are abroad to help me with links or advices to move abroad too. But I discovered that none of them decided to help, instead they discouraged me either by saying, "it's difficult to move now or the country isn't issuing visa now".

One of my guy in CANADA defiantly ignored my text when I asked him for links or the route he used to move, the other in Korea said the country isn't issuing visa now but he recently moved back and another directly said that it's very hard to get visas now to travel. But one Asian American in the States gave me lots of links to move to the State and even encouraged me to move.

But then I don't understand why our African brothers over there will never encourage or advice someone willing to move. Is it envy or greediness or what? I've never had any of my guy abroad encourage me to move when I asked for advice. If things are difficult over there, why not come home?

NB: I never asked them for fund cos the money is available.

Living abroad is not easy, you need to be highly skilled, people need to be cooperative, very calm and organized, Indians and other nationalities, help each other with information, they create business and employ Indians, they share houses and house rent, they have the ability to live without conflicts. Not Nigerians, it will be one drama or another, and its not easy living with a Nigerian with mental problems.

Indians have the ability to also help each other in skills and education they are very cooperative and calm to each other, not Nigerians.

Indians will help themselves in school research, in work skills, and discovery, they cooperate and share task and help each other out, although they are becoming more western and are beginning to prefer living as an individual.

Indians build themselves up, they move with grace and they are everywhere, they are becoming majority in Canada too. The major companies have Indians at the top.

And times have changed, the opportunities abroad is becoming less, the worlds economy is not smiling, So its better to build our Nation. It is not easy, better face Nigeria and help each other out to build each one up and together, charity begins at home. Don't be used by evil politicians. Don't be greedy, focus on development and building.

When too much Nigerians go abroad with their mad attitudes, they are noticed, and it becomes harder for other reasonable people to come and do something meaningful.

Just look at Dubai, the Nigerian men began to do bokoharam, cultism and armed robbery, we have bad eggs that dont have value, they take mental problems to other places. They are not interested in adding value only valuence. smiley smiley smiley, Charity begins at home, so if mental problems are greatly reduced and addressed it will help us at home first and outside

Clearly you don't know anything about Indians.

There is no race that hate each other like Indians. They're competitive, envious, sneaky, wicked, and highly divisive on language, tribe, religion, and region. India isn't one homogeneous country, it's a hodgepodge of castes and languages and norms.

Nothing is hard or scary about abroad except bills

All bills must be paid else you will evicted from or exist from using it anything you don’t pay

But you see that house rent you pay yearly in Nigeria
It is Monthly payment abroad fair to do so you are in trouble
Nothing like gimme 2/3 month privilege

You pay for everything including water and car

Most cars are on loan but the jobs are available

Those are the two major ways to get into Canada go and read them. When I applied for Canada permanent residency in 2019 scores to apply were low, now the scores are high. If my friend asks me to show him way, how can i help him. Even me if i applied today my points will be low due to age and wont qualify. Some of those guys you chatted probably dont have papers and are lying low to survive and do menial jobs. They obviously wont be interested in letting u come join them adding to their bills and risking them being arrested. So these people are not discouraging you things are not how it used to be. In 2012 you could easily get usa visit visa enter there find babe marry. Today you cant even get visa interviews date for usa till 2024 nor can you easily find who to marry and convert to papers. So that bro who left in 2012 can’t really help you. Your best bet is student visa these days. And you need 5m to 10m these days
maybe he should look for friends that have legal sitting over there and he should be ready to spend too so as not to depend too much on the person over there.

Sure i may not be correct in everything i say, certainly i should be corrected, but Indians have good reputation outside their country, i dont see them creating a scene, or being disorganized outside their country.

But i have seen Africans get so mad and emotional and cause a scene. Or Africans form that they are too big to talk kindly to each other.

You may see an African and he does not even say hello, or pretends to be too busy to notice. But i see Indians talk to each other and greet themselves outside, they are very calm and thoughtful, they speak kindly to themselves and go to do their activities grin grin grin

smiley smiley smiley Just learn new skills in Nigeria, encourage the innovative ones and work together stop waiting for greedy leaders, be the change. Use the brain well.

They don't want you to come and make money like them , simply put black man hates to see a black man successful, thank God you pointed it out that an Asian American gave you links to come abroad, this is the reason the whites will be better than us if it's black man they would want you to continue begging them for money, then they will be feeling like one kind president buhari.

Prerequisite of being a Nigerian is an attitude of entitlement. I hand a street bro 100k 5 years ago for traveling runz, He called 2 months later to let me know the runz did not click but the agent has a sure one for 1 million naira. This is someone I did not even know his last name.... I reconnect with an secondary school friend that I had not seen for 20 years, after talking for a week, he told me he just lost his job. I grab a phone, call him to sympathize with him and only for him to ask me some send him a car that he will find money for clearing....wow...

BS. That you are a bank manager in Niggeria doesnt mean they will just open doors for you over there. Banking is different in the different countries. You cant apply what you do in naija to what obtains there. You will have to reorient yourself to what they do there.
And the job of the cleaner there does not mean you have to do it forever. In fact some cleaners in those countries live a better standard of living than some of you. I have seen cleaners here you travel to Spain and Greece on holidays and they live very comfortable lives

Not All our "African Brothers".
There are ones who are willing and still eager to help you move bro.

I think it's individual difference,
I know someone from the neighboring village from mine that always move with 2 new people every year. The only condition is you must promise to take one person from your own place with you after 5yrs.

I know of another who after staying in South Korea for 8 yrs came back and moved with 10 people because the company he works for needed workers and he convinced them his brothers can fit the gap!
