Last year 2021. Shell recruited 47% female and 53% male globally in their graduate program. This year they said they will improve on gender balancing.

You should have. Because if you passed the assessment, the next thing is that shell begin to have deep interest in you, they will peruse your CV to see who truly you are. For those who cannot pass the assessment, they may not bother to look at any CV. If you passed their assessment and didn't submit CV,they will called you to submit it asap and other documents they may need.

Usually don't include my state of origin/LGA/Religion etc when applying for private jobs, only do that for government jobs. If i had known this way back i would have included it. I was under the impression that if there's even quota system it would even favour the South-South the most because of the environmental hazard thing. How would they now know how to filter this for quota purpose? I am sure they are many people like me. Plus first two stages (i.e the game assessment and ODVI) are even handled by foreigners, you think they would cared about the quota thing in those initial stages?

I pray you pass this assessment. You will see, HR will asked you to submit all the details.
Your date of birth meant a lot in shell.
Thats what they will use to track your retirement age and others.

That's their company policy. Its now global standard. And a UN chatter. Gender balancing.
You can never be recruited if you do not pass the assessments. There is no way male or female.

My dear, me too.
They claim that what a man can do, a woman can do better but why drop the bar to accommodate females.
In my place of work, I am always given the difficult task. My boss will always tell you that you are the man. However, the ladies earn same salary with you and even get promoted before you.
