I advise you send a paid mail to know the status. However, they kind of have a surge right now so that's what is slowing this down.
My personal experience: Did my biometrics on the 29th of June and received mail for passport dispatch/collection on the 1st of August. DHL delivered the following day.

Better use PayPal for this payment

Hello everyone. Please I am finding it difficult to get a date for my UK student Visa Biometrics in Ikeja, Lagos.
Please what do I do? There are no dates available at the moment. My agent said I should keep checking the website till the date appears. I have been checking for days now. Is there a particular day or time the dates appear?
Do I visit the center in person and make enquires? Kindly share your experience if you have used the Ikeja center before. Thank you all..
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by maestro03: 4:46pm On Aug 08, 2022
You can try the VI option, however it comes with a fee. Being that you have to pay 55GBPs to submit, it acts as a deterrent resulting in fewer applicants turning up there.....

my 2cents

So you should try refreshing the site everyother minute. I had same issue when i applied around 6th of July, couldn't get any date. I would try midnight for hours and then boom, one faithful morning on the 13th or so, i had told myself i'll refresh every 5 minutes and that's how i go a slot for 27th July, which had been closed all along and the only open dates where from 15 August.

So just keep trying and whatever date come up during the month, book your appointment immediately for that date. You can later keep trying for an earlier date, but first secure any available date. cos the longer you stall, the harder and farther the date you will get.

VISA ALERT

The race is truly not for the swift neither is the battle for the strong.

Me : MA

Wife ; Dependent

Kids: Dependent

Biometric: July 7th

Paid call made;29th July (Decision made for all)

Collection mail; 5th August ( Me and the kids)

Collection; 8th August

Awaiting that of wife

Note; I came to ask the house about declaring just 1 refusal rather than two and I was asked to withdraw the application that it can lead to 10years BAN but I believe in grace that supersedes protocol and I put the whole application in God’s hands and lo and behold the visa was issued.

I put 21st jul to Aug 19 as the duration of visit to my brother in uk.

But the duration is almost over, and I am yet to get a response.

Will there be any effect on decision if the period of proposed travel is over before a decision is made?

I didn't know application now take up to 8weeks.

Now this is annoying.. did biometrics in VI on the 24th of May. Sent to DMC the second day and till date it is still awaiting decision.
Sent several paid mails. It’s more than 55 working days now and Last mail from them said it’s been escalated to relevant department and need to wait for another 15 business days. This is really pathetic… renewal visa taking three months

I am not saying what they said his wrong please but that grace located me.

Because I hardly slept and didn’t even have money then to reapply the more reason I put all on God’s hands.

Please understand my point of view
