Bible means book.
The Chrestian book created by Chrestian is called New Testament.

Well, as I said, I am reading the Christian Holy book which is a collection of books which is titled Holy Bible by some, and which includes the Old Testament and the New Testament.

In fact I doubt the New Testament would make any sense if it had not smartly been appended to the Old Testament.

I think you are refusing to accept what you clearly see with your own eyes or you are just refusing to look at all.

May. Is there a book titled Holy Bible, or not?

You are refusing to accept that you don’t know what you are talking about.

There’s nothing like “holy bible”. Some call it “best book” it’s like a nickname to it.

Bud, don’t you get, Bible literally means COLLECTION OF BOOKS.
Bible LITERALLY MEANS BOOK!
BIBLE LITERALLY MEANS BOOK!
“HOLY” means WHOLE.

Re: The Israelite God, Yahweh Of Shasu Tribe by budaatum: 1:35pm On Aug 11, 2022
Maynman:

It’s commonly called bible, and the early Christian fathers and other sects had names for it! .
I'm sure some tried to make it reverent by adding Holy to its name, the "designer of the books in the factory" for instance.

That is the book that I am reading May. The same one Christians read today.

I must have designed a copy in my factory then because I very clearly am reading a book that says Holy Bible on the cover.

The Christian Gods I suppose. They have got like 3.

No May. I have read the Bible from cover to cover 3 times in all. We had no light when I was young, so I had the time, and I was fascinated that people around me believed/revered a book.

The Chrestian gods have more than 3 gods, uncountable.
That’s why i said if you don’t know the origin of iesus Chrestus don’t assume ignorantly.

Read to comprehend, it was your first time buying a book the “designer of the factory” called holy bible. How did you know the book contains gods? And holy means to have reverence for god?

There are SO MANY BOOKS that are revered depends on which part of the world you are and easily accessible to.

We have thousands of book titled “holy” bud.
Chrestians read bible, you calling it “holy bible” is extra, bud.
It’s commonly called “holy bible”, bring out an article talking about it. You can’t.
And it’s very simple to understand

you just strolled into a store to buy a book called “holy bible”. I understand you now.
And This is low from you bud.

The “holy” is an extra.
We also have the same book without the “holy”

The Chrestian gods have more than 3 gods, uncountable.
The modern day Christians have only 3 gods, May. They are called the Trinity, and are made up of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, though they do some wuruwuru to make 3 equal to one.

Maynman:

No May, it was not my "first time buying a book a book the “designer of the factory” called holy bible".

In fact, my first copy was a wedding gift to my mother which I stole and read, while my second was given to me in school. I've since bought many for myself and for others and the Qur'an too. You'd find some I bought in the library in the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun.

Maynman:
How did you know the book contains gods?
Nigerian people told me so I checked for myself, and what I found were humans making up gods. They don't teach gods anymore were I grew up.

Maynman:
And holy means to have reverence for god?
No holy does not "means to have reverence for god", least not in the instance where it is the collection of books that are referred to as holy, with the intention that they, the books, be revered. Some even go as far as claiming God wrote it in heaven so it should be super-revered, but as I said, I got copies I use as doorstops.

Maynman:
There are SO MANY BOOKS that are revered depends on which part of the world you are and easily accessible to.
You don't say!

Personally, I don't revere books May. I read them to get an understanding of what is written in them so I don't end up talking crap like "the tanakh is in the Qur'an".

Of course there is the same book without the Holy. I got copies with and without the Holy myself, but the particular one that I am currently reading says Holy Bible on the cover.

Is that too difficult to understand?

No I did not just "strolled into a store to buy a book called “holy bible"". The Holy Bible I bought and that I'm now reading was ordered on Amazon and was next day delivered because I had Prime.

And I did not buy it just to read and understand two words on the cover but to read the entire book, again.

Ooh bud, you should have indicated you meant “modern day Chrestians”. If that’s so, that means modern day Chrestians evolve from early Chrestians right?

You were the one that brought in buying books from the store as you like TALKING.
That means you had knowledge of the book before going to the store and you didn’t just to to buy a book called “holy bible”

Nobody said holy means “reverence” if you have been paying attention, holy simply means whole and complete.
Holy and wholly. I’m sure the word is not meant for onlt Chrestian books.

If you read books you should read to understand and not to argue ignorantly..
Tanakh means the acronym of it’s different part, if you know that, you would know that the 10 commandments is found in the torah a part of the tanakh, and you’ll also know part of the tanakh are in the quran.
Go and read the creation story in quran, your ignorance is glaring..
If you had read with understanding you won’t be writing BS like “tanakh god” bwahahahah

The title of the one you are reading is called “holy bible” another one is called “bibilia” with the same context.
You don’t have to name a book “holy” before it’s revered.

The book is COMMONLY CALLED AND KNOWN AS “bible”, stop making up BS because you bought a book titled “holy bible”
Hope that’s not too difficult to understand?

Holy bible simply means BIBLE and that’s what it is commonly called.

Thank you for finally recognising that the title of the one I am reading specifically has Holy Bible written on the cover. But even naming a book "holy" does mean I have to revere it, May. It would be rather stupid to revere a book that went through numerous fabrications, edits translations etc etc, don't you think? I mean, it's not like my copy is some very expensive valuable rare edition or anything. It's just a regular copy.

Bud, It seems you are confused, what we’ve been talking about is that the collection of books is simply called BIBLE. “Holy” is an extra.

You can buy any book title “holy bible”. Oyo

Maynman:
and you’ll also know part of the tanakh are in the quran.

This is true. I can definitely go to like Bolade Market and buy any book that someone has decided to stick Holy Bible on the cover, but I'm sure you'd expect me to look inside the book to ensure what's in the holy Bible that I buy is the Holy Bible that I expect to find there.

I mean. Imagine if the designer of the book in the factory wrote Holy Bible on a Harry Potter book. I'm certain you'd expect I'd be angry and disappointed and take it right back for a refund.

Christianity is just one of hundreds of religion.
Shouldn’t modern day Christianity evolve from early Christianity?
And how modern is this “modern Christianity” or people just don’t know the origin of the religion they are worshipping. What century did this “modern Christianity” start?
If you have knowledge about the book you are reading, you’ll know who yahweh is, you’ll know what tanakh means, you’ll know the stories inside the New Testament are gotten from different sources and later rewritten.
But you are too ignorant and arrogant to learn.

If you know what tanakh means you’ll know it’s a part formed into one, yoy won’t be dumbly saying “tanakh god”
Do you think the tanakh was written at the same time?
This is part of the ignorance I’m talking about.

Go and read the quran, moses didn’t just give them the 10 commandments there are more than 10 commandments.

It doesn’t change what “some” did that it still means Bible, it’s a common sense explanation.
You are trying too hard, understand the context, you can buy any book called “holy bible” i care less, the argument was not about that, that was the context. TOO DESPERATE!

Sorry. But I can't "buy any book called Holy Bible".

If you change the cover of Harry Potter or Adam Smith to Holy Bible I will not buy it because that would not be the Holy Bible I set out to buy.

It would in fact be like going to the market for a Merc and coming home with a box with Merc written on it, which would be a very stupid and ignorant thing to do.

Collection of book is NOT commonly known as bible.
Bible literally means books or collection of books.
And Old Testament that you are reading is not from Septuagint but from MASOTERIC TEXT.

Well, May, I did buy something from the many things they stock, so I'd call it a shop, where I went shopping online for my Holy Bible which was delivered the very next day and which I am currently reading along with other books.
