IRCC will give you response via the original email you used to apply, and no it will not affect your application negatively. besides, it is already passed 12 weeks standard processing time

If your letter of acceptance has 3 starting date, they won’t defer your admission, instead they’ll ask you to reapply again. I know this because it happened to me and I had to reapply but luckily, I got another admission within a week. You can try reaching out to them for a deferral, I hope yours will be different from mine. Good luck.

I saw a thread talking about consent form and transmission fee. How do I get that? I’ll appreciate if anyone here can let me know the due process of submitting Passport. Thank you so much.
