That stuff is beans na. It's makes the combo delicious. If you eat beans, you shouldn't have issues eating it.

Go back to the first page of this thread and see who started it first...this post is about Yoruba food, abeg na wetin carry Emeka come here? You igbos are just obsessed with the Yorubas, you leave your potopoto republic to settle in Yoruba land and start taking trash about your landlords, the Yoruba's are indeed peaceful people.

Yoruba people are living rent free in an average igbo man's head.

Actually, it's the other way around.
That guy is Yoruba posing to be Igbo, who's obsessed with spreading lies about Igbos and tarnishing them.
What he does not know is that he'll reap all the hate he's sown.

I traveled to Osogbo in Osun state and tasted gbegiri soup with small ewedu and Amala for the first time. It was wonderful and I kept eating it throughout my stay in Osogbo.
Gbegiri soup is made with beans and it's a popular delicacy among Yoruba speaking people of Nigeria. Well, I tasted it for the first time and discovered that the taste is universally friendly.

is that gbegiri or ewedu?

Very delicious food, just that I feel irritated anytime I witness how ewedu is prepared with brooms [/quote]

That is when you wanna go local. Today's women use blender to chop the ewedu and it's great

People use blenders now!

Besides the broom used is not your regular broom used for sweeping.

Ewedu is one of the most nutritious vegetables. That's why babies are given from 6 months and some cancer patients drink it. Google is your friend.

Yet the title was, "Nairalander Eats Gbegiri soup and Amala For The First Time"

Yes O!
Gbegiri+ Amala + Orisiri Meat or
Gbegiri + Cassava + Ewedu, will makes you love our land- the South- West- that Nigeria as a whole is the best for the International Foreign destinations even in Hospitality and unfortunately most of our Politicians have killed the very areas of development but are busy stealing through direct and indirectly, patronising the adulterated foreign food from abroad because of the $(Dollar) content!
In Gbegiri Food,No dillusion,no fakery!
It's a food for the Champions! But these days, there is so much foreign food that is causing problems in the stomach, even the ones in many hotels!
When you eat Gbegiri and Ewedu, your body metabolism becomes more functional because you are eating natural body ingredients!
Lalastclala- Seun and OP,kudos to you on this!
