For students who travelled recently, please how did you conceal your basic travel allowance from immigration authorities and other agencies stationed at MMIA?

Why do you have to do that @ bolded? Is the amount beyond $10000 or its equivalent? You owe no one nothing or explanation if less, its your legal right, your funds, for upkeep abroad, you do what you wish to do with it. Just keep it safe within your reach. Simple

It's below $10K. I understand your point, but I don't want to face the questioning or begi-begi attitudes from officials of those agencies.

And the useless airlines currently have the best flight deals now.

You can’t blame the airlines for doing the right thing.

Airlines don't have anything to do with transit visas. It is the country's policy, not the airlines' policy. The airlines only need to enforce it so as not to get sanctioned.

You can apply for transit visa through France or any of the Schengen countries.

You need the following if you apply through France
- Passport plus 1 photocopy
- Flight reservation
- visa to your final destination plus 1 photocopy
- Cover letter
- Evidence of fund
- Passport photos (2)

The amount to be paid is : 80 euros (€), or about 35k NAIRA.

If your application is straightforward, the processing time frame takes between 1 and 10 business days.

So are you saying that for me that is already in the UK with UK BRP already. I cant travel with KLM?. I just returned to Nigeria for something i am going back but with UK BRP and my nigerian passport
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by mimilyrics: 1:44pm On Sep 22, 2022
Yes, you need a transit visa to use KLM.

Taking cash in and out of Great Britain:
You must declare cash of £10,000 or more to UK customs if you’re carrying it between Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and a country outside the UK.

If you’re travelling as a family or group with more than £10,000 in total (even if individuals are carrying less than that) you still need to make a declaration

I understand you better than you do .

My plan also is to finish my school before travelling ,

And about the job , it's an unskilled job
That I will be doing to get my house rent paid and with that I can seek for a job that tally with my course of study before my visa elapse

I am just going there to seek for opportunity and come back to Nigeria to finally return back to stay and work

I have been to ukraine before and I did almost same thing ( 2019) the person that even assisted me with accommodation already sent me a letter containing my details and when I got to ukraine the immigration officer ask me questions then I showed him and he took the letter from me and called the person phone number and he said I can go , I only stayed with the people for some days before I get money to stay in an hotel in kyiv untill my date of leaving
And that is what I am trying to do now if any one can help me

HRprof:

Don't get confused at this your age of 21
You said you are in final year in university in Nigeria
You said you want travel to UK
You said you want to spend your last money to get visa and flight ticket but want someone to give you free accommodations in UK until you rent yours as a total stranger.
You also said ,you have contacted employer in UK they promise to give you job at your arrival., on what skill

Let me ask you ! Have you research about UK immigration policy ?
Do you want to abandon your education in Nigeria and travel to go and hustle in UK with visit visa ?
Have you find out if you can work with tourist visa in UK ?

My advise for you is this , do not follow bandwagon of I want to Japa to make mistake in your early life . Focus and finish your study since you are in your final year. Travel abroad when you have a demanding skill, Nigerians that schooled in UK have not gotten job yet. You are just 21 you still have better opportunities ahead if you bend down.
My 2 cent

okay. I hope it's something that is done really fast though. I don't have much time and other flights to the UK are expensive
pls factor in the fact that appointment dates might not be readily available if using Lagos.. also for Abuja sometimes

You're right. I'm burned at the ATS policy, at the absence of a Nigeria Airway. Thanks man.

Good afternoon everyone,

Please I have a sister who is planning to relocate to the UK with her fiancé and her child. She plans on being the dependent though her fiancé is not the biological father of the child. Would their marriage cert. sufficient enough for the child (obviously, her child is not bearing her surname) or does he need to do any court stuff (the main applicant) for the child to be applicable in the process.

I'll really be glad to hear from anyone on this, thanks in advance.

.
the child’s father has to give consent legally or the mom provides court documents of legal adoption by fiance or documents showing sole responsibility otherwise child will not be allowed to travel with her/them. Pls no forgery

The standard processing time is 15 working days, can sometimes be less. Unable to advise on the current processing times from Nigeria but it was roughly 2 weeks in the UK some months back.

Sir, you are a resident permit holder, not a British citizen. I believe you will need a transit visa. A British citizen will not need a transit visa.

Did you travel from the UK to Nigeria through KLM?

Anyway, you need to check with KLM/Airfrance/Lufthansa before you buy travel tickets for Lagos-any Schengen country-UK trips.

Confirm from the airlines before you waste your money

You are a bittered human being your reply shows your personality, do you know how many visa applications I have helped people handle when it comes to uk I can predict an outcom juste after seeing your documents infact many mistake comes from filling forms booking hotel and financial circumstances instead of us to learn from one another you decided to want to be unfortunate

Once your visa is granted in most cases, you only receive twice pick up mails from TLS and if you are refused visa , you get a refusal mail from UKVI and the pick up mails from TLS.

You are only on the platform to ask questions but not to learn, already you are aware your dealings are illegal and nobody will compromise with you on that. Get yourself a UK visit visa first, other questions from you will be attended to.
