After watching the trailer to tonight episode, since there will be a 10 years jump and VT will still be alive, VT sickness seems a bit exaggerated in the previous episode.

They are following the concept of reality. Men hardly age like women do and the people that aged were previously in their late teen, you grab.

I agree. The time jump collapsed a lot of events into one episode.
Re: Games Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon Official Discussion Thread by Zee0007: 7:29am On Sep 26, 2022
My take from episode 6.

1) The time jump seems confusing but it was necessary. Remember, the whole idea is not about the characters in the house of dragon but rather it's about the dance of dragon.

2) Alicent's children are more ruthless.

3) Lary! Lary!! Lary!!! He is creepier than little finger.

4) The names of the new characters is difficult to memorise. undecided Maybe with time, I will be able to catch up.

N:B This is one episode you need to rewatch. Seeing it once won't help. You will need to use your cognitive mind to connect the dots.

I will rate this episode 6 4.5/10 because I was quite confuse with the time jump.

Not so much, we now know RT has another illicit lover and all her children is not of Laenor offspring because of the brown hair, we have the idea of how the civil war will start, it's a build up to make the storyline compact, might not be the action we expected but the delivery of the story line in this episode was top notch, I'll still give it a 9

We have our new Lord Baelish now. He's the one that would feud the civil war.

The diabetes should have killed him since but I don't know why they're still keeping him alive.

They probably wanna set the stage well before his exit. His exit will start the civil war proper. Now we know his wife isn't so bad afterall and his daughter Rheanyra illicit lover and bastard sons enraged his wife to fight for the throne for her own sons.

Story line is getting epic, some people are saying it's the first stage of grey worm sickness Jora caught in GOT. Let's see

Ser Criston would have legit become the father of the bastard son of Rhaenyra but he chose to leak the a*s of the Queen instead for what? To bring honour, honour he's still losing by speaking behind the Princess back, he lost honour the day he slept with Rhaenyra and sold his family heritage.

I love the way Aemond claimed Vhagar. In his words "Do not mourn me Mother, it was a fair exchange, I may have lost an eye but I gained a dragon".

My Episode 7 Analysis

It was such an interesting episode to watch. I was able to deduce the following.

1) Father became proud of his daughter and grandson. Otto Hightower waited all his life for the dark side of his daughter—Alicent. Finally, he saw it and was perplexed. Also, his grandson Aemond gave him a glimpse of victory.

My favourite scene was the speech Aemond gave after his mum wanted to get flesh for flesh. "Do not mourn me, mother. It's a fair exchange. I must have lost an eye but I have gained a dragon."

2) Ser Laenor is becoming a darling. He now understands the throne politicking.

3) Aegon the wankerer is getting foolish as the day goes by. undecided

4) Reheayra is losing and she's not aware.

I will rate this episode 8/10. The battle for the iron throne has begun. The dark sides of each claim are showing.

My newfound favourite character:

==> Aemond

Very solid episode, but I don't really see it as a "bad side" for alicent,a mother has just experienced the loss of an eye of her last born, emotions are bound to be all over the place and a mother would do everything possible to protect her child and also, good one by aemond, fortune favours the bravve

You are right to mention emotion. The king Visery is such a great king. He knew it was emotions and he didn't give in to her emotions.

A Queen of such repute shouldn't be riding on emotions. Her emotions will bring mockery to her in king's landing. As a ruler, regardless the circumstances, one shouldn't be driven by emotions.

Alicent learnt from emotions when lord lary came and suggested revenge. She didn't oblige.

Note: The brave will always ride on the weaklings. As it is now, Aemond is riding the biggest dragon.

King viserys a great king? grin he's just a weakling who has been making poor decisions that has landed his family at this stage..where was his emotions when he married his daughters best friend? What did he think would happen when he maintained his daughter as heir knowing fully well that even himself got the crown cos he's a man .especially after having sons .he was just setting his family up for doom, and like Daemon said,he's a bad ruler

Omo!! See kasala everywhere shocked shocked

Everyone is calling Viserys a weak king but from another angle, this guy doesn't want unnecessary bloodshed. Wanting peace doesn't make him weak as some people tag him.

He already knows that those children are bastards but because of the love he has for Rhenyra and his willingness to make her heir, he took them as they were.

Children showing the adults how to fight was quite refreshing grin lol

Score - 9/10

Still can't believe Leanor agreed to that plot even after swearing devotion previously to Rhaenyra.

Visery made a mistake of bringing back Otto as His hand. He's going to regret it.

How is Rhaenyra losing?
I know we all loved how Almond(pun intended) was badass and claimed Vhagar but how did that automatically tip the scales to Allicunt?

Only the union between Daemon and Rhaenyra will send shockwaves throughout the 7 kingdoms and they still have a legit claim to the Valyryon throne.
She is winning.

The show writers have made him out to be a foolish king. His house is falling before his eyes, yet he recalls Otto Hightower to be his Hand. That signals war and Rhaenyra had no other choice than to align with Uncle Daemon to solidify her claim to the Throne.

Aemond seems to be the perfect nemesis for Reheayra and Daemond's alliance.

A part of me wants the producers to give a little twist from the fire and blood book I read and another part wants them to follow the book.

That scene where aemond talked about losing an eye and gaining a dragon was where tilted the war,you could see the fear in rhanera's eyes, even Daemon couldn't hide his admiration for that ballsy talk,it also seemed like a threat that the gain of the dragon vhaegar would be needed in the war to come,an eye is nothing compared to what the oldest living and most experienced dragon can do
