You've said it well.

Right now, one aspect of Falcons game dey fear me. And that is the defense and midfield cohesion. Long balls won't help us at this mundial. If they can't formulate a way to transit using each other, na big Shege dey load. We may have good legs in both sections, but if a system is not in place, alongside the discipline and the tact.....

If onyenezide, Debbie Abiodun and some other midfielders from the U20 set are picked then long balls would be minimal but are also important because they can concede goals if they don't clear the ball which is one of the reasons the U17 reached the semi-finals. Folorunsho was just clearing any ball that landed in the box or kicked it out for throwing..

“I’m very happy. I gave my all for the team and I gave my all to keep the ball out. My team is so important to me. We practised penalties together and I focused very hard so I could save them.”

Faith Omilana

Good show of sportsmanship by the Flamingoes and the Germans.

The Nigerian and Germany players dancing to Kiss Daniel's Cough. Also looks like the girls gave the Germans the Nigerian kits.

Yeah. They are playing more better especially after they conceded.

Even the commentator said it. They just have to work on their finishing..

Now they just messed it up

How do you make a pass like that?

Bayelsa Queens down 2 goals.

Sundowns 2-0 Bayelsa queens 60 mins. Safe to say it's game over for the Nigerian side

Their defence in this game has been woeful. Making silly errors here and there.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by justicechichex: 6:41pm On Oct 31, 2022
Maybe time to apply more pressure and get an equaliser. They nearly did oh.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by justicechichex: 6:50pm On Oct 31, 2022
Fulltime. Sundowns 2-1 Bayelsa queens.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Danielnino00(m): 6:53pm On Oct 31, 2022
Bayelsa queens played better.. They were just wasteful in the fin third... The two goals Sundowns scored were due to defensive blunders...

But why's VAR not being used in this tournament? A red card should have been given to one sundown player for a door stamp just like it was against us at the AWCON...not to mention a possible penalty in the final minutes ..

The error for sundowns second goal was too amateurish...

FT: Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 Bayelsa Queens
[L. Daweti 32' 57'/ M. Anjor 81']

2021: Mamelodi Sundowns defeat the then Nigerian champions Rivers Angels 1-0 in Group B.

2022: Sundowns have repeated the feat, defeating the reigning Nigerian champions Bayelsa Queens by the same goal margin.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 8:10pm On Oct 31, 2022
Both teams had moments in the game where they outplayed the other, the difference though is that Sundown transitioned better, created better chances thanks to Bayelsa's defensive blunders and converted them.

Sundown was also more athletic than Bayelsa. They hustled for every ball, they literally covered long distances to fight for balls while the Bayelsa ladies were sometimes lethargic.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 8:17pm On Oct 31, 2022
Bayelsa need Edidiong Etim badly. It's a blessing that she didn't play so much at the world cup.

What in the world was Miracle Joseph doing on the bench to start the match?

If Bayelsa took their chances it would have been a blowout. They kept missing and allowed Sundowns gain confidence.

Its painful to see south african teams bash our teams back to back in recent times, I feel like crying. How did we get so low??

Is this a curse?

Its so painful guys and it hurts a lot, honestly!
