I know how much I feel lonely here too, though I don't talk about it. What I do is I make sure I visit Nigeria every time for sanity. These lonely places can savage sanity. Life is actually More than 24hrs light, which you pay for heavily, anyways. OP, one advise I can give is don't leave Canada for now. Try as much as you can to be visiting Nigeria anytime you can. Don't tell people in Nigeria about your intention to be coming home. They'll erase that thought into oblivion because they're clueless about what you're going through. Only you know what you're going through 5 Likes |

You're high. The wealthy and middle class try to leave Nigeria once they have medical issues. As USA, Canada, are difficult to visit for medical reasons (unless you already have a non medical visa and you know a private doctor/hospital), India is now the major destination. My family is middle class and I know people who are rich rich. They all have abroad visas and passports. Bksense: 1 Like |

Don't mind the guy. Some of them are anti-japa online for selfish reasons or bad belle. The OP Aareona should get his citizenship, save at least 50k in guaranteed savings (probably GICs), then carry 10k or 20k and relocate to Nigeria. MufasaLion: |

ModestGal: read the resources on scrum.org and take the certificationd there. Eac one costs like 150USD. I ll advise to do both Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner for PMP, Rita Mulchay's books used to be the gold standard for self-study. i don't know if this has changed. I had my PMP in 2008 so it's been quite a while. As enterprise Agile is gaining a foothold, think more in terms of Product/Service Management rather than Project management 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Do we even have an accurate statistics in the 1st place that can determine our GDP? The leaders are just doing what they like without questions. We should even start with sharing the little declared generated revenue evenly. monex: |

cooooooks: Nigerians . Sometimes I feel ashamed to think I come from a country where y'all are like this. Imagine how you think just because someone share his pain here. If you can actually open your brain, and think you'll see the OP isn't discouraging japa. He only share his concern and according to him, he want to vent. He said this because he knows how his country people reasons. Most of y'all can't reason beyond emotion as far as it concern abroad. You whitewash white people a lot, thinking these people care about you. Only a Nigerian wiil curse his country to get sympathy From his White master 6 Likes |

pansophist: Canada has a good social system and ideal for families/raising kids For economic migration, US is miles ahead. also note that our concept of wealth and that in most of this countries is different. If you are thinking of making/saving a fortune then you'd probably be dissapointed. You earn to spend and live a quality life. Credit is easily accessible so you can live that life and continue to work all your life. that's how the society develops by maxmising factors of production. 6 Likes |

gaby:Absolutely! Correct, i think it is because some of them grew up in a society where everything goes, where the societal behaviours are different so when they end up in America Europe or Canada the different society, societal behaviours, ways of lives, food, interactions, the vast different ethnic populations, the way people go about their own businesses and not noticing people around them, especially thesedays of social media everyone is on their mobile devices tapping their lives away. all that overwhelms a new comer who obviously wasn't prepared emotionally to handle it. It would be easy for some people to make friends in Naigeria but very difficult for them to make friends in Canada. Sometimes it isn't about money or how much your job pays, the emotional part of it is also very important 2 Likes |

Osewa03:So what would be the point of relocating if you are not happy or lonely where you are? If you cannot intergrate or atleast make an effort to make new friends there (forget your Naigerian friends) make new friends, find a girl or a boy friend have kids, go to your work colleagues birthdays, go to Pubs, attend bebeques night clubs. Join a Gym, don't just keep to yourself, you cannot just sit in your room and expect people to come find and make friends with you. join a dance class or salsa do something! Anything! Not just work, work, work and work and complain of loneliness.. If you are going to keep running back and fort to Naigeria for emotional comfort then you might aswell relocate back there for your own sanity because as it appears you need Naigeria more.. good luck 2 Likes |

Aareona:What kind of job do you do, do you have your MA? If you are eager to make friends, go to an African church near you. Also being able to save about $20k in about 3years is quite commendable- when you do the conversion, that’s about 10million Naira. How many average people for Nigeria get 10million for their account? So my friend, please appreciate how much you have been able to accomplish in just 3years. 1 Like |

MufasaLion:It's very obvious that you haven't lived in Canada before. I'm a Nigerian/Canadian and the girl is stating facts. I'm also a medical doctor, so I know how the health system is in Canada. It's terrible to say the least. I remember when my son was having severe acute asthma attack and we rushed him to the A&E in Calgary, Alberta. we waited for several hours before we could see a doctor. That can never happen in Nigeria as terrible as the country is. I later moved my talents to America but I can tell you there's still no place like Nigeria in the world. I just hope Nigeria can at least get a bit better than the current situation that the country finds itself in at the moment. 4 Likes |

Golan007: Every town has a walk in centre, look for one and attend. U can also visit the A&E so long u ready for long wait which could be more than 8 hours. U can also visit your local pharmacy for advice on simple ailments. There's no where u have to wait for 5 months to see a doctor if u understand the system. |

I feel for the OP. Some Extroverted people can not deal with Loneliness. It can kill them. Introverts know how to work around it. Don't know if OP is an Extrovert. As for me, am an Introverted-Extrovert. If u know what that means I think it's shame to come back home that makes people stay abroad for years feeling lonely and unhappy. Just take the bold step and return. Forget what people will say. It's ur life and ur happiness counts. Before you return, save money to start up a biz. And God will bless ur journey. Above all, seek the face of God before you make any decision this time around and God will guide ur steps. Let me go and have my bath. |

Sorry, its that lonely. If you can, look for remote jobs (upwork, freelancer thing). They would bring more cash, most especially as your location is suited to many jobs. Dont worry about skills, you have light and I believe a lot of data, apply alone for courses, coursera, udemy and the rest... or let me give you the simplest, there is a Google AD Video Training online on Google Upskill, watch it and learn then go back to upwork and find free food. Thank me later... wait, make I drop my account (AZA)? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Agbegbaorogboye: Did aba kyari visit any German hospital b4 returning to Nigeria? Or I don't understand this your strawman argument. The truth is Nigerian healthcare system both public and the elitist private are very weak when it comes to managing chronic illnesses or disease with multiple complications, unfortunately these are problems that comes with old age. Why do u think there's a sudden demand for foreign doctors in developed countries? It's because people are living longer despite having debilitating illness for decades. Someone has to take care of them. If u see a 90 yr person in Nigeria, know that they have been disease free all their lives. Let's not give excuse for our hospitals and politicians, they really need to step up. Most people who had kidney problem in Nigeria that I know eventually succumbed to the ailment- both rich and poor. Some of them were being managed in redington and st Nicholas. Its like they don't understand kidney problem goes beyond transplant. |

topemama1: If I take u up on assertion that your child had severe asthma and wasn't seen for hrs in A&E, you will falter. Do u really know what severe asthma is? U mean the nurses did the child's observation, came out as severe asthma and left the poor kid in the waiting area like that? No oxygen or nebuliser administered immediately? A near death scenario with the child virtually fighting for every breath and likely having a very loud wheeze. Common man let's be real here, I thought u said u are a doctor. Whites are not that wicked even if u are black. Most cases are admitted directly into the ward. I want to believe u are exaggerating or outright lying. And yes u are right, no Nigerian hospital will keep a child with severe asthma waiting. And I don't expect hospitals in Canada to be different. 1 Like |

SIRTee15:No one debates the fact that Nigerian healthcare system is weak. But my point is there are private clinics that measure up to the standard abroad. The problem is our elites' developed taste for all things foreign and are not ready to change it anytime soon. As for Abba Kyari's the point I was making is that he was already carrying the illness from Germany and no one knew about it until he got to Nigeria. The same Western nations first claimed face masks can't help in preventing covid before they later changed course. The vaccination programs and its inconsistencies is another matter entirely. You seem to make the argument that our elites patronize foreign hospitals because they are very adept at treating multiple illnesses that come with old age. Well, Buhari's spokesman told Nigerians that Buhari has been patronizing his UK doctors for over thirty years. I'm sure Buhari was not above sixty thirty years ago. This further butress my point that the preference for foreign hospitals is a question of taste which has further weakened our health system of the needed resources to develop. It's actually same malaise our education system suffers. |

How can you not make more than 20k$ in 3 years. I've never travel out though but going from what people have been posting here about monthly net income and cost of living for a single person. I think one should be able to save more than that in 3 years except you are living above your income |

You cannot see the kind of easy money you see here in Nigeria To pay for your children university education no easy. To be honest money no dey Canada like that Na US money even dey pass. But Canada is easier to get resident permit and citizenship Than the US.
