ABIBLESS:Congratulations Did you mean defer till Jan 2023 or 2024. I doubt your school will let you defer for a full year but try. If it works then notify IRCC. Remember your visa will not exceed your passport validity. |

Dear Forum Members, I am deeply elated to share my PPR . I have been a silent reader and I am writing from overseas. I am still jubilant but this is brief: - Date Applied: September 1, 2022 - Biometrics completed: September 6. 2022 - Upfront Medical (May) Medical Updated to Passed: October 4, 2022 - Background Check: In Progress - Eligibility: Not Started - BVL& PPR Dec.7 I applied by myself though used an agent for immigration guidance (Honestly recommend this). September 6 was the 13th week since I applied so I was prompted to duly send emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, Beijing, etc. I wish this whole text will inspire massive hope in those waiting. =================== DRAFT EMAIL SENT TO IRCCs ================================================= To Whom it may concern: Compliments. I hope this email finds you well. My name is XXXXXX, I am contacting you to kindly gain an update on my application which is now past the thirteen weeks duration. To date, I am yet to get a favorable decision. I understand the COVID-19 pandemic has affected processing times and I do not take these setbacks for granted. However, I am pleading that you expedite my application so I can meet up with my Study deadlines. Application Details: Full name: XXXXXXXXXX UCI: XXXXXX Application number: XXXXXXXXXXX My application timeline since September 1, 2022: - Date Applied: XXXXXXXX - Biometrics completed: XXXXXXXXXXXX - Medical Updated to Passed: XXXXXXXXXXX - Background Check: xxxxxxxxxxxx - Eligibility: xxxxxxxxxx Thank you. aramideadeoye: Gic is usually used to open a Canadian account and fund it for use as POF, I doubt you will be able to fund it in Naira i.e have a Naira Gic account. 1 Like |

The VO assumed the sponsor was not related to you. Do you bear the same last name? Did you submit your birth certificate and documents proving you are his son? Also, it looks like they have an issue with the funds or the source. Is your dad self-employed? If yes, are the transactions consistent because poor cashflows can make the account seem inflated? Any lump sum in dad’s account? Did you submit the sponsor’s letter of employment or, if self-employed, business registration documents? How much was the balance on dad’s account? Because of your age and intended education level, the VO might check your income. Is the salary significant? What was your tuition fee? Ensure there are no loopholes in your app when you reapply. Going for an undergraduate diploma at your age is enough to scrutinize your application, so try to eliminate any other issues that can arise. Jojocrawch: |

johnstan: I have not gotten. Even acknowledgement for ppt I have not seen from VFS, had a live chat with them this morning though, they gave me tracking ID but its showing no record found when I try to track it. |

gentleluv: Hi, my brother is about to do capturing this Friday for his passport renewal. Can we talk about this fast tracking please? His BVL has dropped but his OPR hasn't, we figured that it is because of the fact that his passport expires in May 2023. Some people who get BVL without OPR or refusal, I think (personal opinion) that it is sometimes due to the fact that your LOA is invalid or has expired or your passport expiry is within 6 months, just my thought though. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by johnstan(m): 4:38pm On Dec 07, 2022 |
Jaykeh: Nah, that their tracking website doesn't work. Tried it severally and it kept returning error messages. If you got a tracking ID from vfs it means they have received your ppt, it Shud start with 2022........... Just keep asking them for feedback and also checking your email for their response. |

Good afternoon Everyone Please, I need help with my study permit application. I am also applying for my children (age 7 and 9) and do not know where to upload their documents Is there a different process for applying for one's kids? Do I have to initiate a separate application for them? Please, help Thank you |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by skentelelady(f): 4:45pm On Dec 07, 2022 |
opessi: Use MyBankStatement instead. Walk to your bank and request for it. The embassy will be able to view it directly instead of compressing and they are not able to read your statement |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by skentelelady(f): 4:48pm On Dec 07, 2022 |
Kateike:start sending webforms. Then send a mail to the school if they can defer to May or there is only online class he can join in january if he gets his decision late. If you can defer, the send new LOA given to you by the school thru webform to IRCC 1 Like |
