Yes she might not have told you but that does not mean she is bad wife. The trauma and shock is enough to emotionally damage her. She may have wanted to deal with it as family matter.
Now you know apply wisdom not locking her up and seeking divorce.
Mind you any woman you marry will never cherish and protect that your daughter if not worsen her case.
You said she lost weight. Now read in between lines and see that the rape issue was the reason. Don't add more fuel to the fire.
You can deal with the boy but be careful and mindful of more emotional trauma upon your wife.
That heart though and forge ahead with life.

This is disheartening honestly especially for a 2 year old who will be told as she grows older that she may have been raped by an uncle.. I can't say if the OP is handling this matter perfectly... Reporting to the police is good but arresting your wife is like dancing a different tune from the music that was being played..

It is heart breaking but what I think would have been for both of you to come together to find a better solution that centered on your kid...She(your wife) should have told you no doubt...She got no excuse whatsoever, If she can confide to a third party, surly she should have told you.....

This is a trying time for both of you...You have an equal right to that child as well as the mother buddy... Arresting your wife is not the answer to the problem at hand...No sensible mother will want their kids raped...Arresting her made it look like you loved the child more than the mother and she deliberately put the child in harm's way....

As for the boy, Assuming it was an advanced world, that boy would have gotten all the help he needed considering his age...a counsellor or agencies that sees to this kind of case would have taken him under their wings... But since it's Nigeria, he will be tinted for life...or even commits suicide if care is not taken because of stigma..He is a minor too..

The minute you report to the police, a war will commence between you and her family and between your own family and her family.

They will try to deny the whole thing, they will look for another justification for your 2 year old daughter's broken hymen. I hope you have a medical report. Even with a medical report confirming rape, they would try to put the blame on an anonymous stranger. from cases I've seen, the courts usually charge not guilty, you don't rape a 2yr old kid and expect to remain alive for long, even if the family doesn't kill you, there are people who take it upon themselves to hunt pedophiles
