True, I almost fell victim last year. I got there after being told it's a good company job that pays weekly in dollars. They first brief us the history of the company and the 4 men from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and another Asian country can't remember exactly, mehn on reaching there at first, the 2 people who welcomed me and took my number and name tried to dress corporate but failed with their polo shirt tucked in jeans and shoes, the English they used to communicate was the first sign I got that they ain't real, very poor English sentences from their mouth, I was asked to sit down and wait with others in about 20 mins they called me and some others upstairs while the person who invited me followed. While sitted in their office upstairs 2 people again this time male and female still trying to look corporate but failed infact these 2 are more timid looking and local than the first 2 downstairs, they cant pronounce any English word correctly as they briefed us the history of the company and Asian guys that formed it that they're Quest Intn'al company, they sell luxury items like iPhones, wrist watches, t v etc that we are helping the company to market the products and we will be paid $325 weekly for a start which increases with time as we continue with them so I was like it's cool and the lady said have we been told the requirements I said yes that I was told to bring my academic credentials and passport she said "correct and registration fee of 650k" which $800 which covers my rent for company apartment, a product of 450k will be given to me and dollar account will created for me all in the 650k($800). Mehn!!!! Na there my mind dey say I don enter one chance, I said okay I'm interested but won't pay instantly even though I'm already raging inside of me, I told my guy that brought me that I won't pay it instantly this guy started all the convincing again I don't know the diplomatic spirit that got into me that day if not my usual self would start instant violence for my transportation cost wasted because I flied down, but they called my brother and my brother said he has to see me to explain everything to him first before he pays it they still kept on convincing that even if a property will be sold instantly let them send half for me first my bro was like okay but we must come to him face to face and take the physical cash in half then the next week he will send the rest, I also convinced them and the idiot guys agreed and that's how I escaped back to PH. Only for me to be reading this thread today with exact format so I was supposed to be held hostage in Lagos? Oh my God. Thank God, the Idiot still contacts me till today on when I'm coming back. I'll go back indeed with police I swear. The place is in Lagos ikeja area Ogba one funny street number 3 a fenced compound. I still know it, I will first lure his girlfriend first before dealing with him because I knew him through a girl I was trying to fhuck. See watin mad sex drive to fhuck every bitch almost put me

Na wa o. This is the exact type of job offer an old class mate posted in our WhatsApp group the other day, I almost fell for it. The bill was 500k and he said he had already paid but was waiting to resume, latter he said the offer was no longer available. It was in PH.

Put it out there on Twitter and include details that cannot be tracked down to you. For example, create a burner account and talk about how this is happening and how the police has been informed and nothing has been done.

My in-laws brother was recently scammed.
He was told to pay 600k for a job in a company and that his salary will be paid in dollars every week.

He sold all he had and left for Lagos without consulting any family member. He was welcomed by his so called employers and ushered into a building that looks like an office. After paying the fees he was held hostage and striped off every belongings and kept in a room. There he saw other victims being used by these so called employers.

His line was not connecting, they give him the phone to communicate when they want to pass any information in their favour and after that no more phone call, the victim might even be forced to tell you that he is very busy that's y you he can't be reached anytime until he calls back.

They use these victims held hostage to convince family members or friends to come over and take the job/business offer.

As soon as you get there, they strip you off every belongings, seize you phone and collect the money you brought. Once you are there they threaten to kill you if you don't corporate with them. They will tell you call a family member or friend and tell them about the business/job and that you have started benefiting.

In my in-laws brother's case, his escape from where he was kept hostage was a miracle. He is back to zero.

Please share this information with your family and friends so that non will fall victim.

Thank you.

May God not let any of family to fall victim, pls where exactly in Lagos. So we warn others and expose their evil act

Mine too was Early last year, My Father's friend said There's a good paying job.... and sent me this number 0816 987 2577 that I should call,
like after 2 days I called, He said to me that he job is paying in Dollars every week.. that I should pay 560k for enrollment... and I asked him if I must pay to start, he said yes, that u will be given free accommodation, feeding and after sometime I will be transferred to London for more knowledge of the Job... But I know it's scam, so I told him I will get to him... he started calling me that they are limited space that I should make my payment in full and in time...
so I was not convinced, I told my dad and he asked if I'm interested, I told it's not convincing to me... After all it's a scam... that's the number 0816 987 2577... he's Uche Omeguo, Igbo guy from Nsukka, Enugu State... He's a scammer run away from him......

The root cause of all these things is greed. I can count five of my friends who had falling victims to these people and their scams. If you listen to them narrating their stories, you'll eventually find out that they fell for them because they were all greedy

That's because the victim had to sugarcoat his story so he will be pitied and not be looked at as a very greedy person. It might be true that they were kidnapped and it might not though.

This your Nollywood Movie make sense
When is the part 2 coming out

This Is the movie where Kanayo is the CEO of the company?
And yul edochie is looking for job and kanayo told him to pay 600k..
And Michael zubi is the bad guy holding them hostage inside the building.
I think the name of the movie is Royal Simp

Op, tell us when the part 2 will come out

Building that your brother escaped miraculously and he also miraculously forgot the address of the building.
All the people that were held hostage inside 1 building. Making calls to there family and the "worrried" family can't track the calls and none of them know the address of the company..
Not even their close friends or roomates know the address of the company abi??
Tell us when when part 2 is coming out. Nonsense

My friend almost got duped this same way. Almost, because he got his money back. He's was in Ghana. This long time friend of his began messaging him out of the blues about a gold mining company in Ghana, and how he was being paid $200 every week, that he would love him to come and partake. Being unemployed, and desperately looking for work, he fell. He was able to raise the 600k they said, as well as his transport to Ghana. I drove him to the park in Benin that morning, to leave for Lagos. From there to Ghana. According to the story he told me when he got back, he arrived the place about a day or two after we parted ways in Benin. The said friend sent someone to pick him when he arrived the place at Ghana and welcomed him accordingly. Next morning he and the friend went to the "office" so he could begin registration. Glad that the said spot was available as the friend had informed him, he made the tf of N600k to his friend's account. That was when they told him the job was actually about: that he would have to call any of his close friends or relatives and get them to bring 600k, and he would get a commission from everybody he refers. He was dumbfounded! "Where is the gold mine you said you were working!?" he queried his friend. He couldn`t believe his eyes or ears. So the effort and risk he took to come to Ghana was for this scam? He called his friend aside and told him ho ha, "see, that money I transferred to you is still in your account, just transfer it back to me. Make I just forget the transport I wasted, and go back home". The friend was adamant at first, until the guy said if he does not get his money back ASAP, he go "drop message" for the guy family for Benin. If you grew up in the streets, you would understand what that means. When the guy heard that, he began to fear. He had no choice but to transfer the money back. My guy told me, he saw lots of young men laying on the floor, scattered around, most likely people who had fallen for the scam and had no edge or means to get out. When he saw his alert, he took his bag and ran for his life. He is now a fish farmer in Benin. So, this story is very true. And it has and still happens.

Lol, so this my guy chijioke called me on a Sunday morning that he wants to come to my house to pass time b4 he goes home and I agreed,so when he came he told me about a job offer in Lagos with a company that deals in many stuffs like hospital equipment and what have you,he even said that he is undergoing training there and will soon be employed when he is done with the training. He also said that he had to travel to East three times so as to get enough money to pay the company for the employment and I was like lol

Connected me with the manager and the manager said that I'll have to pay the sum of 560k for me to be able to get the job and that they will also help me prepare an international visa, what made me suspicious was he always makes use of a phrase "financial freedom" which chijioke has also said on different occasions during our discussion plus asking me to pay money lol.

I was even worried that my guy has entered into the hands of GNLD people and another thing is that he doesn't answer his calls during daytime except night.

I got to know that he told many people about the same job offer but used different story for each person, he told one guy that he will be paid 85k per month but told me that I'll be paid 200k per week. I warned people to be wary of him cos he might be working with scammers, nigga still called me yesterday sef.
