Happy new year everyone and congratulations in advance for everyone waiting for their PPR. There’s an ongoing argument that it is very difficult to get a Canadian study visa approval if you’re over the age of 35yrs, you do not have a university degree (which means you’re not going for a masters program), you have a huge study gap. Pls the gurus in the house kindly clarify, at age 37 must you be going for a masters program in Canada to get an easier approval? |

Good day, Thank you for your correspondence. IRCC has seen an unprecedented volume of applications received for both initial study permits and extensions in 2022, not just from citizens of one country or region but on a global scale. We are making every effort to reduce wait times in our services globally. We also highly encourage clients to check IRCC's Processing Times to let them know how long it took us to process most complete applications in the past. It starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision. It may vary depending on the number of applications we receive and how complex they are to process. It is important to understand that processing times are estimates and may vary. We know that some applicants have experienced significant wait times with the processing of their applications, and we understand your frustration. We are working hard to process applications on time and reduce processing times. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. Putting people first is at the core of how IRCC serves clients. We are committed to delivering seamless, quality services that works for everyone. Regards, Immigration Section | Section de l'immigration High Commission of Canada | Haut Commissariat du Canada (DH) P.O. Box / C.P. 1013, Limuru Road, 00621 - Nairobi, Please does this mail mean anything. Got it yesterday from Ircc…. |

Good morning everyone, Please I need your responses on this issue pls. For someone whose visa was approved this January, and has already deferred admission for (September)..what are the necessary steps to take and how can one can take go about it. Thank you for your prompt responses. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by mrprolifik: 10:46am On Jan 06, 2023 |
Ifyy101: You got this response from IRCC, because you most likely sent an email or a message via webform to them asking about an ongoing application you'd submitted. According to their reply to you , they need you to be patient with them because they have a lot of application that they are currently working on (yours inclusive) and that means longer processing time. Lastly you can see from the mail you got that your application is most likely being processed at the IRCC office in Kenya. So next time you want to send them an email, you know what office to send your email to. Goodluck 2 Likes |

Please am equally interested in the response to this question. Because we are considering this as the next option for my daughter. The last day given to be in school is 12th which is next week Thursday We had to cancel the flight we booked for tomorrow Saturday. Am scared to book another flight as the last day she can leave is Tuesday. The tension and anxiety is just much. We hàve done everything humanly possible. Whatever happens we will accept it with good faith. She will use the period of waiting to learn skills that she can apply over there and use to make extra cash. Faith93: 6 Likes |

Jojocrawch: BIG FAT shapeless lie. Forget the age, just focus on your SOP to explain your position as it relates to the course you are going for, if you have study gap it is assumed that you have been working, so go for a course that relates to your career. It can either be in a college for post graduate certificate or University for a master's programme. Visit the school websites to know their requirements and apply if you meet them, then face IRCC for study permit. 5 Likes |

Good day everyone I'm new here I intend to start application for masters degree in Canada I need suggestions on schools that do not request for IELTS or GRA I also graduated with 2.2, I dont know if its going to be an issue I dont have any knowledge about the process please |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by teebullion1(f): 11:45am On Jan 06, 2023 |
Bobomaigida: Contrary to popular opinion, 15m is more than enough for family of 5 for a 1year program (depending on tuition cost). 15m is over 45,000 cad using ircc exchange rate. She mentioned that she had paid first semester fees already, her balance shouldn't be more than 10k (judging by Cambrian fees), living expenses 10k, additional funds for spouse and 3 children isn't up to 25k (4k & 3k each respectively). Na so dem scare me with required POF too before I embarked on the journey 8 Likes 1 Share |

Samade7: So sorry, it will end in praise. If you have faith. We have similar sponsor package, but in my own case I earned 80k+ monthly and at the time I submitted my application I don't have more than 1k, excluding the deed of gift that was transferred to me by my sponsor a week before I submitted, which I back It up with high court deed of gift, sponsor letter on company letter head, affidavit of support, all cac documents, company soa and reference letter. You can check my post to see my timeline. I only used my work to show my experience base on my program and how it will give me a senior/manager position in other to earn more in my organisation/Nigeria. With your salary alone they already know that you can't take care of yourself. |

Liquid cash is preferable. The T bills, stocks etc can be added on as support but you can’t only submit T bills from What I have read. All the best AbSapi: |

Cuppycak3: It has been said here many times that some lawyers just love to extort people . If you go to any high court and ask those guys working there that you want to do a gift deed they may not charge you up to 10k 2 Likes |

You should have opened the ticket instead of cancelling it Ma. You can also email your daughter's school informing them her passport has been sent for stamp but not yet collected which is delaying her travel and appeal for extended deadline. I mailed my school for more time and the extended my deadline by 14 days more which started yesterday(though im still expecting my PPR and my application is 4 months and 7days today). apeja2017: As much as I can’t say if this is a reason, my friend and I who were both August applicants sent emails until they warned us to stop sending. 3 weeks later after they warned my friend, and 2 weeks after they warned me, our PPR came on the same day, December 29th. Keep sending emails and webforms and back it up with serious prayers. 2 Likes |

Has anyone travelled from Port Harcourt to Canada recently with Lufthansa airline? How did the journey go. Please confirm that a German transit visa is not required before boarding. |
