"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information".

Happy new year everyone and congratulations in advance for everyone waiting for their PPR.

There’s an ongoing argument that it is very difficult to get a Canadian study visa approval if you’re over the age of 35yrs, you do not have a university degree (which means you’re not going for a masters program), you have a huge study gap.

Pls the gurus in the house kindly clarify, at age 37 must you be going for a masters program in Canada to get an easier approval?

Good day,
Thank you for your correspondence.
IRCC has seen an unprecedented volume of applications received for both initial study permits and extensions in 2022, not just from citizens of one country or region but on a global scale. We are making every effort to reduce wait times in our services globally.
We also highly encourage clients to check IRCC's
Processing Times to let them know how long it took us to process most complete applications in the past. It starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision. It may vary depending on the number of applications we receive and how complex they are to process. It is important to understand that processing times are estimates and may vary.
We know that some applicants have experienced significant wait times with the processing of their applications, and we understand your frustration. We are working hard to process applications on time and reduce processing times. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

You got this response from IRCC, because you most likely sent an email or a message via webform to them asking about an ongoing application you'd submitted. According to their reply to you , they need you to be patient with them because they have a lot of application that they are currently working on (yours inclusive) and that means longer processing time.
Lastly you can see from the mail you got that your application is most likely being processed at the IRCC office in Kenya. So next time you want to send them an email, you know what office to send your email to.
Goodluck

Please am equally interested in the response to this question. Because we are considering this as the next option for my daughter.
The last day given to be in school is 12th which is next week Thursday
We had to cancel the flight we booked for tomorrow Saturday. Am scared to book another flight as the last day she can leave is Tuesday. The tension and anxiety is just much.
We hàve done everything humanly possible.

Whatever happens we will accept it with good faith.
She will use the period of waiting to learn skills that she can apply over there and use to make extra cash.

Kindly help, i got this response while tracking my spouse's application (Visa application, tracking ID No.****************** Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2023/01/03. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website) and no further emails apart from ( Visa Application tracking id no.****************** has been received at the VAC on 2023-01-03 00:11:07 AM. Please find attached the e-ICR (Invoice cum receipt) for your record & reference)

The issue here now is that i paid #9,410 as the transmission fee while on the e-ICR Invoice they wrote #9,930. Can this be a problem and please how much did you pay for your daughter's transmission fee?

We're leaving VFS Lagos now. They said it's not ready and we're to receive two more mails before we come for pickup.
Hopefully if we receive the mails today we will go on Monday to pick it up.

BIG FAT shapeless lie.

Forget the age, just focus on your SOP to explain your position as it relates to the course you are going for, if you have study gap it is assumed that you have been working, so go for a course that relates to your career. It can either be in a college for post graduate certificate or University for a master's programme. Visit the school websites to know their requirements and apply if you meet them, then face IRCC for study permit.

Contrary to popular opinion, 15m is more than enough for family of 5 for a 1year program (depending on tuition cost).
15m is over 45,000 cad using ircc exchange rate. She mentioned that she had paid first semester fees already, her balance shouldn't be more than 10k (judging by Cambrian fees), living expenses 10k, additional funds for spouse and 3 children isn't up to 25k (4k & 3k each respectively).
Na so dem scare me with required POF too before I embarked on the journey

Good morning All,

Please I need assistance and advice cos am really confused now.
I got admission for May 2023 / Conestoga College, have paid the deposit fee of $1500 n currently processing to pay the balance with firstbank given me issue.

I have applied for study visa n done with biometrics. Infact, am planning to have my upfront medical by 23rd of this month but this morning I got a refused letter from IRCC that I don't have sufficient fund.
My sister is my sponsor, I used her SOA with over N20m, my sch fee per year is $19k CAD plus.

Please I need advice on what to do next.

Then, I will like to ask does IOM refund? Cos am supposed to do the medical in lagos but due to the fact that I want to get it done this month I picked Abuja cos there's no more appointment in Lagos for this month.

Secondly, do I need to inform conestoga college for deferral of my admission or request for refund?

Pls elders in the house, help me am totally in a confused state.

Thanks in anticipation, God bless.

So sorry, it will end in praise. If you have faith.
We have similar sponsor package, but in my own case I earned 80k+ monthly and at the time I submitted my application I don't have more than 1k, excluding the deed of gift that was transferred to me by my sponsor a week before I submitted, which I back It up with high court deed of gift, sponsor letter on company letter head, affidavit of support, all cac documents, company soa and reference letter. You can check my post to see my timeline. I only used my work to show my experience base on my program and how it will give me a senior/manager position in other to earn more in my organisation/Nigeria.
With your salary alone they already know that you can't take care of yourself.

Liquid cash is preferable. The T bills, stocks etc can be added on as support but you can’t only submit T bills from What I have read. All the best

Please guys I'm considering one of these two options for POF for my student visa, I want to invest the money(Treasury bills) and submit the investment certificate, Will this be accepted ?or Is it just the four months bank account statement that is usually accepted ..I'm really considering the investment certificate plan cos I don't want this money lying in my account.

Please advice.

It has been said here many times that some lawyers just love to extort people . If you go to any high court and ask those guys working there that you want to do a gift deed they may not charge you up to 10k

You should have opened the ticket instead of cancelling it Ma.

You can also email your daughter's school informing them her passport has been sent for stamp but not yet collected which is delaying her travel and appeal for extended deadline.
I mailed my school for more time and the extended my deadline by 14 days more which started yesterday(though im still expecting my PPR and my application is 4 months and 7days today).

As much as I can’t say if this is a reason, my friend and I who were both August applicants sent emails until they warned us to stop sending. 3 weeks later after they warned my friend, and 2 weeks after they warned me, our PPR came on the same day, December 29th.

Keep sending emails and webforms and back it up with serious prayers.

I am actually not going to centennial but my college is around Scarborough too lawrence avenue east they are all in same axis even university of Toronto is also in same axis though maybe 35minutes distances by bus . It’s more expensive to get accommodation closer to college like 1km to 2km so for now I am left with no choice than to book any distance between 5km to 8km for atleast a month till I settle .

My school gave me an easy url it’s much easier to search for accommodation around Toronto I won’t type it here to avoid anti spam bot ban . Check hormadoma on the image just type your school it will bring out all accommodation closer to your school you can then start reaching out to the owners most of them want female. It’s difficult to get one that need a male maybe guys don spoil things for the landlords

Advice As everyone can see on the image canada is not cheap especially the big cities if you don’t have funds or have someone in canada to support you don’t bother to apply. This is why they deny visa these vo mean it when they said financial asset . Accommodation for single bedroom can cost more than 5million a month . Get yourself prepared first before commencing your journey
