Asking for a friend, is 5Million okay as proof of funds after paying the Full tuition fees. She’s a single applicant and self sponsoring herself. She’s also 33years old.

Congratulations!!!
I'm so happy for you.

Question please
Why didn't you apply for your SOWP together with the primary application?

Limited knowledge as of then. The only knowledge I had then was VV because I have good travel history.

How many kids will you be applying for?

3 kids

How much was your POF for this application?

over 13mil and I also had good inflow and outflow.

Congratulations.

You didnt have to paint your friend in a bad light. I am sure he did his best for you. No need denigrating him and then saying all that. You think he does not have need for money? You too will soon enter the abroad and see that it is more difficult to have spare funds to dole out to people either in the form of loan or dash.

Thanks, for the congrats.

As for painting my friend in a bad light is not the intent. My bad! God knows my heart and intention, maybe my representation/narrative was wrong.

Lastly, please, let's learn to push a friend to achieve good life successes but do not promise and turn your back on the friend when it's time to redeem the promise. This was what I was trying to sell.

I almost went mad, but today is a forgotten story. We are sweet once again and I have also learned to depend on myself when it comes to finances and expect less from anyone, but if it comes, then it's a plus.

I have someone that did the same, only that her mum truely transferred the money and gave her gift deeds. You should have put the money in your mum's account and have her transfer it to you, then give you the transfer slip from the bank and then gift deeds.

Welsh2np:
Hello all,

My previous application was refused for insufficient funds.

Although I have some funding for my master’s (enough to cover tuition and even accommodation).

The sponsor I used before is my half brother( we share different surnames). Although I added our birth certificates in my previous application, the VO was still concerned about the type of relationship and stated in the GCMS notes that I didn’t include enough documentation to show relationship between applicant and sponsor.

To cut the story short:

I am reapplying and someone is transferring a certain amount of lump sum into my account. (Which I intend to keep until the sp is approved)

I thought of getting a gift deed from my mum to say she’s the one who’s transferring the funds to me.

So my Mum is giving me a cheque (even though she’s not the one who deposited the money into my account)

My concern is: I don’t know if they can go as far as checking the validity of the cheque and also even as far as checking her own account to proof if she really transferred money to me. (As claimed in the gift-deed)

(Note: I am not submitting my mum’s bank statements). Just my bank statement.

I’m really looking forward to the gurus opinions.

I’m avoiding misrepresentation as much as I could.

What is the best way to explain the lump sum deposited in my account?

Thanks

Don't give your bank breathing space, get your account officer's email and send him/her a mail before 8am, copy the branch and top-mgt. send reminder or follow-up
Ensure you state timelines and consequence if the money does not drop by 9th. also state the penalty which you wouldn't bear but would be transferring to the bank.

This worked like magic for mio

Congratulations to me again

I got my PPR on 19th January 2023

I promised to come back and share my timeline because the following week was my wedding (28th January 2023). It was really a targeted and timely prayer answered

It was my second time applying for Canada study permit.

My first application was in May 17 2022 and I got refusal in Sept 22nd 2022 on the basis of finance and personal asset. I paid part payment tuition and I used a sponsor to show proof of fund. I didn't include any property or asset. My program is professional/vocational training course that will last for 77weeks at Toronto school of management. (Although It is not Pgwp approved, but I used this school because the program suits my profile alot so I was convinced I will not find it difficult with IRCC on other reasons except finance. I also have my plans how to navigate to PR)

I have already written my timeline for the first application. Kindly check my profile.

What I did differently in my second application

I reapplied on November 11, without receiving GCMS note report. I believed I knew what the problem was. So I took the step.

1. I paid full tuition for 52weeks(1year)
2. My sponsor sent Dollars to my Dom Account which I used to buy GIC and also to show proof for remaining tuition (25weeks)

3. I bought GIC through CIBC for 14970 USD (Wanted doing 15k but due to international bank charges it went down)

3. I showed 5000USD bank statement in my Dom Account to cover the remaining 25weeks tuition of about 4600CAD. I did MBS. ( Please ensure to do MBS while showing your proof of fund)

4. I drafted gift of deed for 2storey building 'given' to me by my late father, with the help of a lawyer, notorized and stamped. Please Make sure you add a Survey plan in this kind of deed of gift.

5. I drafted a car receipt with Custom clearing documents.

6. My sponsor also wrote a sponsorship letter to show that she sent the money to me and also promised to give me more.

7. Make sure there is a substantial connection between you and your sponsor. In my case, my sponsor is my fiance and not a Nigerian. I showed many other documents to show our intention of getting married. Our Pictures, application document for our court marriage, her approved visa to Nigeria for the wedding, family and friends consent (all notorized) etc.

8. I only did 1page letter of explanation. But also included my previous SOP with a little update and all other documents I sent in my first application. No amount of document is too much for IRCC. Anything relevant you can lay your hands on, please send them 😂.

9. My pension was just 800k

10. I took part fully in the 14days praying and fasting of my church from 9th January to 22nd January 2023. Las las without God, your documents is like ordinary paper.

God is faithful. I am so happy. I asked God for my wedding gift and also I asked God to give me my own testimony before the end of the fast. God did it. I am very happy. There is nothing God can not do.

Please note, if you send me email or Whasapp regarding assisting you , kindly go straight with your questions. I will be glad to assist. But I may not be replying hi , hello, or casual chatting please. 🙏

Congratulations, please can I get your whatsapp contact? I need to ask some questions please 🙏
