In most cases like this there is more to the story. It doesn't make sense. Most times this kind of reporting is done to aggravate people.

I remember my pastor was kidnapped in Jos and taken to Bauchi state, he was asked at gun point to call his family members and tell them he has deny Jesus Christ and the faith, the man stood firm, God gave him a miraculous escape.

You can only kill the body, but not the spirit of a man. What the scribes and Pharisees never knew was that killing Jesus was the gateway to saving the entire human race.
