Not only Igbo and Yoruba movies. How did he pass English NECO/WAEC? How did he do his assignments, exams and project during his uni days?
I doubt if this person is mentally prepared to do MS in business-related fields.??

Ehnnnnn....hmnnnnnn
I laugh, but it really is not funny oo...heyyy...I'm scared for him...

Well, God will do it.
Unless, he wants to tell us that he had high fever on the day he went for the exams and his fingers were shaking, which made him unable to write. Then his ears were ringing.. which made him not to understand the oyinbo...

This score no be am ooo for TOEFL. Your brother should not even submit the score at all. Also, the 2.7 is out of 4 or 5?

The funny part is that this score might have since reached the schools, based on free sending, from the exam hall..
It's just to pray that admissions will not be angry as to not even look at the other materials..

Seems one LinkedIn or Twitter influencer has posted how they got many offers from the school, it's same pattern, people just move to same Schools whereas profiles differs. Do your own search and be sure you meet most requirements..

Yeah, quite true but most people find doing the right thing as something difficult, hence they want the easy way out. That's what Twoods doesn't like lol.

I have over 13 years industrial experience it is my retirement plan I am on right now.
I am gunning for NIW already.

Oh really! Good plan! Best of luck but NIW can be gotten even without PhD (it's a strong advantage though).

Hello everyone, please I want to know if changing school from the one you where denied with to a different school that is less expensive, will it affect my second visa application because the one I got accepted in is less expensive than the first university I used to apply for my first visa. But I have no valid I-20 now.
You stand a better chance if you could convince VO that your degree cost in that cheaper school has a better market value than the previous one in Naija employment market. eg Shell/MTN is not going to pay u higher simply because your MBA/Msc is from IVY league @$200k when someone from a state public uni pays $40k for the same degree.

But this not true in some cases . I applied to west virginia because my course is a fully funded program and I think the goal pf applying to schools is to be sure if they have funding for your program. Not everyone follow the crowd, some of us really research before applying

Maybe your own case is different as you did your homework before applying. Most only read about there is funding in a school and then rush to apply there without knowing the context and profile of the person that got the funding. That is the angle I am seeing it from

My dear I am not marrying anyone for GC oooh
I have all the requirements right now for it.
As for the bolded it is not negotiable if not I would have done it when I started coming to the states in 2010
I like my freedom so I do things one at a time.

Calm down.... Do well not to fall into shams that most men put beautiful young ladies in the name of GC.... Especially our fellow black men... If you get a PhD funded offer, do not hesitate... That's the sure route to EB2 NIW for those who are wise...

You seem to agree totally with everything I say lols.. Can either of us send a Pm?

Hello all,

Please, how long does it take to get a response from the embassy, with regard to the emergency interview date request?

I applied to WVU because I secured an advisor after an interview. I didn't see any post from any influencer.

Congratulations!

Choose the cheaper option. Also ask if assistantships positions are typically available or try to ask your department for alternative sources of funding.

Best of luck.

I am presently employed at an accounting firm, and I hold a degree in accounting. However, My interview is scheduled for next month, and I am uncertain about whether I will be granted a scholarship. did you think the cheaper option is better (Business administration). thank you.

When did you make this request? I don’t know specifics but it is usually days - weeks, it depends on how urgent your case is. When is your start date and what date did you initially get?

Hello, my bro applied for a Master in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana and just received his 1-20 for an August 16th resumption. He wants to know how early he can start the visa application to enable him getting a visa appointment in Lagos.

We have forgotten how the system works and want to learn from the experiences and trends of others here. When should he start the application online? (April, May, June or July)? What does the US embassy recommend?

Thanks.

Which of the Louisiana schools is he going to, LSU or ULL?

Hello,

I believe you understand your situation better. Which do you prefer? Can you afford the more expensive option? Business administration isn’t far off from Accounting. Most business administration programs have an accounting concentration. So if the VO asks, you can mention that you’re going to pursue a masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
