My answers are in bold inside your quote. With regards to your raised concerns, I will advise you to apply to schools of best fit, and your own personal choice. No need using another person's school choice as your own point of application.

For scholarships, go through all the schools offering nursing, to know the ones which offers scholarships, and its percentage. In my own personal opinion, apply to schools outside their major cities. You might stand a chance of being admitted.

I've applied, hopefully I get Jamk UAS, the tuition is 9k (pretty affordable eh). The other schools at 5k needed a Finnish language test which I do not have. I'll pay first year before I go and hope to get a scholarship for year 2 and only have to pay 4,500.

having savings to spare for folks back home is relative(depending on your lifestyle).

Good thread, I also plan to go to Finland at the beginning of winter studies. I chose this place because my dad is snowmobile financing in this country. I also wanted to be close to him. You are required to pay your tuition fee upfront and a possibility of 1.5k euro tuition discount as stated on your offer document.

You can work 30hrs while hubby work full time. It depends on how long your study will last but the fact that you can get your PR in 4yrs from the date of arrival is one of the drives.

And Finland is ratted very high in standard of living, quality of life, quality of education for yourself and children among others.
