Please can you post the screenshot of his tweets? I want to see.
There are several. Apart from this, he stated that he would ban Yoruba language.

Gbadebo kept his cap on, no respect for Yoruba tradition.
Does he know a lot about Yoruba tradition?

But he wants to rule a state in Yoruba land!

The guy is so unprepared for the job!

He wanted to contest for Lagos governorship..after 2019...he never took out a year at least to learn his father's language, which is the local language spoken in Lagos where he wants to govern.

He never took interest in learning about his father's tradition...yet he wants to rule his father's state.

SMH!

All his transgressions can be forgiven so long he learn to speak Yoruba fluently n relate with his father's tribe more efficiently instead of acting like a bastard.
Forgiving someone who has NOT asked for forgiveness? Abeg go think am again.

Inconsequential Oba that has no political or traditional relevance in Lagos.

Power belongs to God and He'll definitely give it to CHINEDU 1 OF YORUBA LAND.
Power belongs to God, but na you go tell God who will be Governor. Dey play, just dey play

I pray by the authority in this palace, God should help us to turn the state better. There is no way I can hate the igbos because they are among my best friend.”

Very wise elderly man.
Whenever i see people talking down on this man. Especially the south easterners, I just laugh at the disrespect. I am not a fan of him, but he is one of the wisest and straightforward elder-man one can find anywhere in Nigeria today.

I remember few days after the declaration of the presidential result and Ezeife, an elder-stateman, a Cheiftain from the Southeast. Someone the younger ones should be looking upto was asked on AriseTV about his expectation of Tinubu's presidency and how he feels the south easterners should be represented. The only thing that came out of this man's mouth was: 'Tinubu will never be sworn-in, and if he is sworn-in, it means there will never be Nigeria, this country will sc@tter'.

So much hatred, contempt, disdain, venom in an elderly man like that. The mischieveous Arisetv host that probably planned the whole thing to heat up the already tensed emotions on ground by interviewing such person knowing too well his hateful nature was even trying to calm him down, he still refused in saying anything tangible. Except this country must break.

You can never measure wisdom by age. I wish the southeasterners can pay more attention to their elder-statemen who are fanning war and disunity, instead of focusing on what is happening the southwest.
We are waiting for Supreme court.

Let's hear what they will say about the anomalies of the past conducted Election.

This country will have a serious crises if they try to overlook that fraud of an election.

I disagree with the Oba. Chinedu who hates Yoruba people with every fiber in his being does NOT have a future in Yoruba politics. Some people say he should go and be councilor first. If he wins even councilor I will make sure the Yoruba hater is impeached faster thn the speed of light. Ordinary adviser to lga chairman he will not see in Yorubaland.

Also, his father better go and do DNA. Because I don't understand how your so called son will hate his father's people this much.
Lagos is not a typical yorubaland as you guys are thinking.
As long as free and fair Election is concerned, outsiders can win Political posts in Lagos.

Honestly, the oba is very right. I think Labour party poured more energy into winning the presidential election than they did with other elections. The quality of contenders they presented for governorship election in most states across the country is almost funny to watch. I hope they would learn that strength is in the whole, not in parts. Imagine the guy presented for Lagos! A whole Lagos o! Hian!
GRV met the constitutional requirements to contest in a Governorship election in Nigeria.

I want to see a country where ordinary citizens will aspire to any position especially in public service irrespective of their financial standing and background.

Age is not a precursor for greatness.

Same lagos when Oba/traditional rulers for many pass citizens.. Lol I personally do not rate this man, coz Tinubu is his benefactor, so what choice does a beneficiary has than to nod his head to the instructions of his benefactor...
Again, I do not rate these obas of lagos, they are more of like political appointees, that's what I rate them as... If real Obas like that of Ife, Oyo, speaks you know they are Obas with class and ancestral backings, they are always neutral as much as possible, no this oba by the government... Lol

That’s what we call respect.
You don’t even know anything about your culture and traditions.
Tell me more about this paying of respect - is it particularly connected to the coming elections? Was there a reason why a media team was included?

And who says any culture or tradition in question is mine in any way? Argue logically and stick to the issues.

Same person you just called chinedu is one of yours just like many other chinedus out there who come from Lagos state, indirectly you are believing that an Igbo man is coming to rule Lagos 😂, if only answering the name chinedu is the only criteria I need to rule a no man's land I think am game then😊.

I don't understand what you mean by saying that "Chinedu who hates Yoruba people". Must the election be turned into a tribal war ? I did not see Chinedu hating any Yoruba people. I only saw a Yoruba man in the person of GRV vying for the postion of governorship of Lagos state under Labour party . Labour Party is not owned by Chinedu. The young man called GRV paid homage to the Oba of Lagos and the Oba spoke his mind. Chinedu is not in the picture at all. It is up to Lagosians made up of Yorubas, Igbos, hausas, ijaws, efiks, tivs, fulanies, gbagis etc. who secured their PVCs in Lagos state to decide who would governor them in the next four years.
Re: Sanwo-olu Will Win But The Future Is Open To You.– Oba Of Lagos To Rhodes-vivour by 2buffagain(m): 8:05pm On Mar 16, 2023
That old man is comfortable enough just getting paid money he has already negotiated with Sanwo until he expires.
He is only saying this because he does not want to have to re-negotiate another new thing with GRV.

I have no respect for Boomers and up when it comes to the rebuilding of Nigeria.
They have had their time, and they messed it up.
I have zero respect for the opinions and words of any political leader who has little to no understanding of the importance of technological advancement to any 21st century civilization.

Their ideas, no longer relevant or competitive.
Their words, empty.
Their corrupt ways, chiseled in their hearts as the very same heart has changed from flesh to stone.
The future is not in them, and any of them who respect themselves should know this and admit this by now.

The only segment of them I respect are the truly wise and introspective ones that say "I think my generation are not the best set of people to still be charting the course of this country. We have been at the helm, and we have made quite a mess of things. The world has changed. Yes we have some past wisdom, but the future needs younger, future-adapted minds at the helm if we are to survive as a nation. The best we can do is provide counsel to the young who must now lead."

He's choosing his words carefully cos GRV is a candidate to beat. Come over to Alimosho. You'd confirm this. Forget what urchins who are posting comments from outside lagos are saying. Saturday is the D-day
Bros, I wanted to vote sanwo olu after watching his interview on arise. He is obviously a good man.
The tribal bashing GVR has received to the extent of him called ipob because he has an igbo mother will certainly backfire make a lot of voter want to make a point and vote for him.

Oh, ofcourse you and I met the constitutional right to contest but do we have the required experience? He doesn't. My post wasnt referring to his age, it was referring to his experience. It's like telling a group of a huge organisation to make anyone their CEO, especially without requisite experience or even making a fresh grad your HOD. Meanwhile, I honestly dont relish going back and forth on this matter, pls do well not to quote me again. Thanks
