Sometimes I wonder why all these big multinationals can't do what other smaller companies are doing to survive undecided

See smaller brands like waw, viva, good mama, unik bathing soap, hawaii soap, Eva soap are all cashing out and making huge sales in this bad economy nah him Unilever dey phase out some household products. Nah wa

These big companies should better stop paying all these their staffs fat salaries for doing nothing undecided

They should divert those monies to marketing. They should recruit boys and girls on the street and use them to do aggressive marketing. Can't they learn from the way waw they do street marketing.

You sure don't know what you are saying. Most multinational corporations valued their standard and wouldn't compromise for anything. They are not after making 100% profit at the detriment of quality. They also have international standard for staff renumeration.
It's a pity that our country's economy is getting worse everyday all thanks to bad economic policies by the myopic federal government and it's agencies.
leave mumu...
they will rather close than pay staffs 100k...

Those products are way past their maturity stage, they are fast declining. What the company should have done was repackage and relaunch them.

They'll not do aggressive marketing. Why? They consider themselves a giant and far to big to do street marketing.

Small FMCG companies looking to gain market share and survive will do all sort of marketing and employ various tactics. Once they become very comfortable, they also loose guard!

Nevertheless, this'll affect the market end-to-end.

Is that sustainable?.... Managements don't focus on today,, rather what will happen in decades to come. Right sizing is one of the easiest way out,,but cutting off the real manpower (functioner head) of the job will only expose the company to avoidable bankruptcy...

Competition is rife in that industry now
Klin was the first detergent to give Omo the first blow in the 90's, the market before then is solely controlled by Omo and elephant.

It is not because of the fat salaries they are paying but failure to do backward integration. They like to import key components of production from their home country, using it to siphon our foreign exchange. Some of these so called secret components have local substitute. Rather they will year in year out not only continue to import it but increase the price their local companies pay for the so called secret component.

A leading company in the sector is telling what it wants to do and you are advising them! You thought they got where they are without those well paid staff? You thought they are repositioning for future without the input of those staff? Smh
