Please can anyone help with my question? Is there anything I should pay attention to specifically to ensure the visa is approved?

If you've read deliberations here and taken everything in there's little anyone here would offer you in advise that you haven't read already (provided you've read through the thread).

Go ahead and apply, if you are unsure about anything specific feel free to bring it up here and we'll be happy to assist you.

All the best.

Finally got a response. Hubby 2yrs Visa successfully his first time uk Visa. DHL will be picking up passport today he did “pick my passport “Any idea when you think they will return it?

mikky099:
I called them yesterday and they say I will get a response before Wednesday and if I do not, I should call them back so they can escalate it. I have been to the UK before, actually last year, so it was very surprising that I have not received the request to submit my passport. O well we wait...

Finally oo. He has been ask to submit his passport. He has a trip to make on the 6 April and would not be back till 22nd April. How long did you think he will get his passport back after submitting it to DHL today.

Ahan, he asked generally nah. he's asking if there's anything he should pay attention to.... that's a general question and if he reads through the thread that question is easily answered.

Please what rate does the embassy use to calculate the money you will spend over in the uk. Is it Oanda.com conversion?

April 6 is like six or seven business days from today; that will be too risky because of his travel date. I think the average wait time is 10 business days, but remember that nothing is normal anymore these days.

Do they give him a specific time? He can submit his passport when he returns from his trip.

How true is the report of Nigeria’s name been removed from the list of countries eligible for the international recruitment for healthcare?

Read that circular as well.
The traffic system puts us at red so no active recruitment but am unable to validate.

what are you saying in essence, kindly expatiate more on this, ma?

I am responding to your question like you asked that there is a documents circulating and Nigeria alongside Ghana and other 53 countries are classed as red because we have a need for healthcare man power in our country.

Only about 5 on the red list are non Africans that is Yemen,Samoa,Kiribati,Micronesia and Afghanistan.

This affects Nurses ,Doctors, social workers etc.

It means a Nigerian can only make a direct application to a job advert for example with the NHS and be employed if successful.He/she/them cannot be actively recruited by an agency or it would contravene the code of practice.

Nigeria can become Amber if the Uk government has a discussion with the Nigerian government.

Hope this makes some sense phenzy.

It quite risky I know. He was given 28days to submit which start to count from yesterday 27th and his return will be on 22nd which will make it day 27th and it’s on Saturday. What is the implications if he doesn’t submit it within the 28days?
