It's so bad ...we build road , provide electricity , water an security for ourselves reason vote turnout is always always low

For most tribe or Ethnic nations they are not so bothered about this but for Igbos it so bad to

When we try to change our leaders there's friends outside Igbo land help them rig themselves in ....see what happened in imo, how soludo rigged rural Anambra , what happened in Abia , what happened in Enugu ....reason Igbo leaders are not loyal to igbos but to those who put them into power

Thank heaven for obi sha things changing
what are u insinuating? That soludo and otti is not qualified?

No lies..

In my home community, every registered member, whether home or abroad pays N3,600 for security levy annually..
In times past, we contributed to buy transformer to electrify our community, the fencing of our central school was done by us..

A lots of projects that the government (FG, SG & LG) should have done are been carried out by most of southeasterners in their various communities..
She's 100% correct but the problem isn't limited to the SE alone, it's the whole country at large. Nobody believes in the government to get anything done

The Punch

That's understandable because they've always been on the loosing party in politics and when they are not, the party that they supported and won always neglect them. They have a herd mentality.
But the most important reason is that they don't see themselves as Nigerians and wants their own Biafra republic.

Because their side did not win

From 1999-2015, and from 1999-2023, Hausas and Yourbas respectively lost faith in governance.

The problem I have with NOI's comment is simple. Nigerians have not lost faith in governance, but they are angry that their side has lost out on the national cake sharing.
Agreed, in other words it’s a dicey one, anything can happen.

Nigerians better stop believing in the fantasy called national cake, then things will work in this country.

P.S Tinubu winning does not mean Yourba land will develop, by the way.

learn to call a spade a spade sentiments aside. I have never seen any Nigerian irrespective of tribe who has not lamented on the worsening living condition since 2015 . you can only solve a problem by first identifying the causative factors.

Dey play....
why will we stay in our region while their are areas in your own region that is ripe and fertile for business but you don't take advantage of it,Igbos go to places that has opportunity for business and economic development and in doing so they build businesses and pay taxes in their host region, what you have to ask yourself is why are not my people doing such businesses the igbos are doing in my region?is it because my people are not proactive,is it mental and physical laziness,is it lack of ambition or inability to take risks,or rather feeling indifferent towards economic freedom, all these and more are critical questions you need to ask yourself, even if the igbos leave your region you may not harness the opportunities that are waiting in your region,we have been baptized by fire, hunger and blood during the civil war and economic freedom is another type of victory for the igbos

Go and read her book “Fighting Corruption is dangerous “.

You’ll start weeping for Nigeria from Chapter 3.

She revealed a lot of secrets in that book.
In short it was a difficult book for her to write because she has to put a lot of unpleasant memories she ought to have forgotten into writing.

This is arrant nonsense! That's the problem with all so-called APC/Tinubu supporters. Many of you can't reason straight. Your sense of judgement is warped.

Is this is how politics that is meant to achieve sustainable and tangible developments is run? Politics by cheat? Politics by suppression of dissenting voices? Politics of calumny? Politics of propaganda?

That has been the mindset of any South Easterner since time immemorial. We don't belive in any shithole government of Criminals. Most community development are done by community effort or by philanthropic Individuals. That is the reason they all envy the south Easterners because even with little Government presence they still thrive more than all of them

How do you strive? South East is the most backward region in Nigeria.

Abia State is the most backward state in Nigeria. They should pray and fast for better leaders.
When I was entering Abia State from Akwa Ibom, I wept for the state of development in Abia. I was doubting if there is a government in Abia State.
