So your still waiting for endorsement till now... it's alright. wink cheesy grin
Go and accumulate DS like never before!
BUY... ACCUMULATE... HOLD!

I can not come and go kill myself for nothing! wink cheesy cool

It is well

I have been buying DS since last year after they published their q2 result though I was disappointment with q3 so I am not looking for endorsement. One of the attractions then was the low price of raw sugar.
I looked at price of sugar in the international market yesterday and I was not too comfortable with what I saw hence my calling on oracle to say something about the chart on sugar . Between the time I checked last year and yesterday, price of raw sugar has gone up by about 50%.
Going by my experience over the years with DS, an increase in the international price of sugar always affect the company performance as there will be a time lag for them to pass the increments to the consumers.
When one decides to have a substantial part of his portfolio in a particular company, I believe one should be well informed about the company and everything that can affect its performance going forward.

Talk to Agba. ...who knows! maybe he can help with the gut or sentiment analysis part. wink cheesy grin

Based on fundamentals though, UBA should have no business trading below N19.37 (last FP in view)
But then again, it's not an investment advice.

I can not come and kill myself for nothing.
Let me just enjoy what's left of my small minimum wage for now. wink cheesy grin

DS backward integration is the biggest sugar investment in Nigeria,

You simply need to complete the E-Dividend mandate form for the registrars of the companies you owned shares in and the dividend will be processed and paid into your account.

True.

But ask yourself; what has the company done to cushion the impact of input cost (imported raw material cost inclusive) btw then and now?

Key observation;

• Improved raw material inventory management...
There has been a deliberate attempt to reduce that line of cost via stocking. (overstocking of certain class of material)... perhaps putting to good use the 80-20 rule in inv magt.
The coys over reliance on imported sugar (ref: 80% as at Q1, 2021) necessitated a rejig in their raw material collection strategy to create a balance in the various forms of inventory.
Observe the ∆ inventory position in that time.

• Mapped out strategic plan to beef up backward integration...
This of course will support the highlight above and ensure less reliance/passthrough impact from input cost.

• FX Management...
The coys cash position has enabled it achieve a better gearing btw then and now... hence healthy cash position and less EFP.
The implication will be a gradual but steady drop in finance cost relative to debt... hence better earnings delivery in the course of time.

I also highlighted a few other things in that article.
Truth is; DS is in a much better position now compared to then.

It is well

Download the E-dividend Mandate Form from the website of the registrars handling the stocks you own and fill, send the form to your broker. Follow up with the broker until they confirm delivery, Mail the registrar to confirm they got the form like a week later.

I didn't want to comment on Japaul this time but.......
It closed today on full bid 22.4m bids vs 0 offers.

Because of what Transcorp has done, Japaul will catch my attention from 50kobo and if Q1 is good my 100% is sure.200% or more is sure too base on subsequent results......

I am here with loads of patience. No more jumping out till prayer is answered.

I share the same sentiment with you on some of your observations. Good points.
Some years back we had a discussion on this forum about DS. One of the major highlights that stuck with me was the inverse correlation between the price of raw sugar in the international market and DS share price on the NSE.
Looking at the charts now with my amateurish eyes, I can tell winch direction we are heading, will the price continue to surge forward or is reversal imminent??

Thank you so much. E make sense die.

Abeg Oga CP, help us check watin PZ dey talk for your bedsheet.

Pz fair price stand @ N20 on my bedsheet but I don't see it getting to this price sooner except the Q1 2023 shows promising numbers like the latest Q3 and coming 2022/23 FY... good Q3 earnings report includes (income from sales of asset) which I think can not reoccurring. even if it reoccur it not a good sign for the business. operating income is the koko shocked though revenue and some other metric improves over the previous year.

PZ is one of the few company on NSE with negative enterprises value, I will not be surprise if they go private in the future to eat their cake alone undecided. Lol mkt capitalisation of about N47b and cash equivalents/bank of N86b, this does not mean they have the raw cash o. cash flow statements even shows the company use more of the external fund to financial their business as they generated less cash from core business compare to overall total cash in the book,

the company if they want to may give good dividend to pump up the price to the fp or over self.

for me and my household we will let it pass. would rather load more of DS at curretprice.

Thanks @currentprice, I am thinking of 50% exit due to the Q1 performance.
However, my entry price is 6.94, hence the hesitation in taking partial exit decision.
