Hi, I'm currently in Germany but study in Netherlands. Will be moving to Canada as a student in August.

Hi guys, please is there any student here who relocated from Germany to Canada also as a student? Thanks.

Good day all, I earlier posted something about my refusal in March. My GCM notes came in last night.

Please kindly see attached and please give me your advice 🙏 on how the refusal reason should best be tackled.

Summary
Lone applicant.
2years program

1st term fee already paid with evidence sent to IRCc

I had 8m gift deed from my sponsor

Showed about 17m POF

Showed evidence of lots of landed properties (personal home, Hotel business, rental apartment of 6 flats, lands).

My kids, mum and work were used as home ties.

Changing your sponsor from parent to sibling will not affect your application. Focus on addressing the reasons for the refusal.
onyekachee:
Hello everybody, will changing my sponsor automatically affect my chances of approval?my first sponsor was my dad though not so financially buoyant at the moment,I am thinking of using my elder sister this time around, she is very much capable..will this affect my reapplication?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by bullstriker: 11:09am On Apr 27, 2023
1. It depends on the level of program your friend is applying for. For example, WAEC/NECO is sufficient for post-secondary programs, while ND, HND or a degree (with a transcript) is required for post-graduate programs.
2. Yes, she can apply with her family if she has the finance and can demonstrate ties to Nigeria.
3. If you cannot resolve the payment issue, I can help her apply and make the payment.
hardeyeanc:
Good morning I'm asking this for a friend, he is trying to apply to Niagara college, pls what does she need to apply, someone said just o level and someone is saying transcript again does secondary school issue transcript? I thought the original certificate should suffice. She has OND though.

2. Will she be able to go with dependant as she is going for a degree program and not a Masters?

Appreciate in advance.

3. I'm still finding it very difficult to pay application fee any helpful tips would be appreciated. I downloaded root as suggested by someone here but it is not working

Good morning everyone

I registered fr admission at university of Calgary for fall intake but my admission was delayed because there was an omission in the last page of my transcripts uploaded. I mail the school late march and also sent the documents through mail but I haven't received any feedback ever since. Do I still have a chance to be admitted?

Has anyone gotten admission to university of Calgary recently?

Tolifefun:
Do not try to change institution while in Nigeria. If you try it, you will reapply for visa. When you get to Canada, you can change your mind grin

What about changing program before you land but same same DLI? any idea?

Hi guys I have a quick question. Travelling from the UK to Canada month end. Paid my full 1 year tuition of 12k canadian dollars, I'm thinking of taking 3000 canadian dollars and around 4000 pounds. Do you think it'll be alright at the POE?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Republic001: 12:07pm On Apr 27, 2023
Is it possible I transfer savings of about 1.5 million naira from my savings account to the account I want to use as POF..won't it look as lump sum? How do I narrate it to the V.0
And again how much can my sponsor dedicate into my account as study support?
It's a year program ,18kCad tuition fee and have paid 2500 cad deposit!
Have been refuse earliry, planning to tender another application!

Firstly, the VO is quite vindictive, on the surface this kind of application should fly.

Based on the comments, how long was the statement period you submitted and what was the opening and closing balance?
Did you raise all the POF (17m ) from lump sum deposits?

Almost as if the VO no read the SOP or thoroughly review the application before taking his/her decision. Most comments on the CBSA contradict what the applicant says he/she provided. All the best in your reapplication! Hopefully it gets into the queue of a better VO.

A quick update:
So IOM eventually sent me the updated medical information sheet which shows that the results was transmitted to the IRCC April 25, 2 days after the deadline given by IRCC (April 23). I have sent emails to all the IRCC contacts shared on this thread and filled out 2 webform to the Nairobi office. I hope this late submission by IOM won’t cause any harm? Does IRCC still consider results sent to them after the deadline? Thanks
Markab:
Good day everyone, is anyone aware how best to reach IOM Lagos? Medical done since April 12, no result sent to IRCC. Deadline on the letter was April 23 and online GC key account shows results of medical not received. I’ve sent emails to the IOM booking email and also filled contact form on their website - No response and all calls to their phone were not answered. In the emails, I had even requested they send the emedical form to send through IRCC webform, still no response.

I don’t want to assume that this is because of the strike Cos medical was done one week plus before the strike even started.

I’d appreciate you advise everyone😢

My own statement was about 1 month. The only lump sums are 5m and 3 m total transferred just within 2 days as gift deed. The money is meant for balance 2nd semester tuition for 1st yr, living expense for 1st year and some extra dollars for Miscellaneous.

My sponsor's statement was from August 2022 till Feb 2023 and the lump sums were there ad far back as since September. The money was gotten from land sales.

As in ehn. The decision was given just 7 days after I did my biometrics.

Seems I need to take the God factor more serious when I reapply.

This is exactly what I suggested, i know 2 people that did this and got approval. It all rest on your SOP though

Army2022:
Others have already given you enough advice , but I'll add a little.
I'll suggest, let your mom do the gift deed.
(Don't make the mistake of sending your mom the money through the same account you're using as SOA)
*you can open a new account or use your second account.
*Have your sponsor transfer the money to it, *Go to the bank with your mom, transfer it to her, then let your mom transfer it to your main account ( the one you're using as SOA)
Remember You don't need your mom's SOA, the gift deed is enough.
This process won't take you more than 1hr to complete.
(Note* in your sop, your mom could be a retired anything or a big farmer, a trader etc)

2) Everyone is adviced to write a good SOP (make yours very very interesting to read)

3) I hope your course of study aligns with your job Very important.

1. I suspect the VO was concerned about that your sponsor will have difficulties in raising funds since the a higher % of the funds in his account were raised from sales of land. (Did you show what the sponsor does for a living that will continually raise funds for him?)
2. In the funds are still in your sponsor's account then it will be good for your reapplication, as the funds would have been there for a while.
3. I also think you need to tweak your SOP to explain and shed more light on the POF section, ie show why and how the funds were raised and the source of income of the sponsor.
