Your hate doesn't change the fact that is the richest state in human resources, you can only hate but you can't stop them, Ebonyi mall it's was Everyday emporium which is own Anambra man that Dave had to beg to use the mall, Dave is also lobbying Allen Onyema owner of AirPeace to use the airport, Anambra is blessed in all ramifications, you are only hurting yourself, Anambra airport is very viable and fully active.

Hehehe... As e dey sweet me, e go they pain you!! You lot come online to pour cold water on what others are doing...
You lot suffer from serious inferiority complex and it has become obvious to other igbos and Nigerians as a whole...
An Ogun man can never come out in public and disparage the good works happening in Osun!! It is only an Anambra man that will come out in public and say that Ebonyi is rubbish... Even other eastern states do not have this behaviour.. I repeat, you can never find such in yoruba people.. Instead of you to be happy for your brothers, you are here talking rubbish..
Why did Umahi not lobby a poor man like you to come nd invest in his state This is how y'all keep bragging stupidly with other people's achievements... Allen Onyema is the owner of Air peace, but he enjoys the patronage of ALL Nigerians.. it would not have been possible for him to do all this without patronage and cooperation of key Nigerians from other tribes. This useless chestbeating behaviour blocks goodwill from others that could help you, but your IQ is too low to understand..

Is the last one an airport?

Quality of leadership in our Southwest region should be seriously questioned.
It is a local airport. It is also not completed. I mean, Ekiti's population is less than 3.5m. you will find many airports in developed countries that look just like this. There's no point in constructing a large airport with little air traffic. Not everything is aesthetic

OK he ''saved" ...Obiano used the savings abi and today Soludo is taking on debt abi... why??

You guys who have ZERO economic knowledge praise mediocrity, criminalize borrowing etc

This otikpu boy doesn't understand what economic development entails. Delta has two airports yet produces virtually nothing apart from oil. What is the IGR of Delta in the last 10 years? What is their debt burden? Where are the world-class (or national-class) universities in Delta State?

Ebonyi State is one state with sooooo little and their governor keeps delivering mind-blowing infrastructural projects. Give Dave Umahi the kind of money Lagos or Rivers has, he will turn his state to Dubai.

In fact, other state governors in Nigeria should be taking lectures from him about how he achieved all this with so little.

Someone should create a thread of what Dave Umahi did in 8 years so as to blow people's minds here. When it comes to infrastructure, that man is only in competition with himself.
Another thread should be created for Gov. Ovi aka Kerosene Governor, let's enumerate his failures and beseech the Gov. Elect for turnaround!

That's your pedestrian understanding of how investments circulate. Google the number of domestic air passengers per airport per year across Nigeria and compare the figures with the number of road passengers per state in Nigeria. Then, Google the reason why airlines in the Nigerian market struggle to make profits. Compare the data with those obtained from near-peers like Indonesia, South Africa, and Malaysia.

You'll see that Nigerian state governors are just wasting tax payers funds on white elephant projects. If a state is economically developed enough to attract big projects like airport construction, they should allow private investors to take the lead. State governments can just provide motorable roads and other infrastructures to support the projects. This way, they wouldnt be wasting public funds.

Good point, you nailed it.

Mumu this one is just consumed in envy and bitterness.

Anambra international airport is the best and busiest airport in igboland.

Onitsha residents as well as all Anambra use Anambra international.

Imo airport is more or less a glorified village motorpark. Infact imo is yet to have airport.

Anambra international airport is the international gateway to the Eastern Nigeria.

All the major airlines in Nigeria are owner by Anambra people, like air peace, united airline, etc.

Anambra international airport is the headquarters of Air peace which is the number airline in Nigeria.

Anambra is the most developed state in igboland. Cry more

okwadatigbogal:
Ebonyi Airport is far superior in terms of infrastructure. Umahi really did work there...
I have come to the conclusion that Anambra people are the biggest chestbeaters and noisemakers in Nigeria. With all the useless noise they made when the airport was opened and were even disparaging others. I could remember one idiot saying that all the airport will surpass other airports except Lagos within one year of operation... Lol...What a joke...
It is still the least patronized airport in the Southeast and one of the least in Nigeria.. Onitsha people would rather use Asaba Airport...
Ebonyi airport will serve many locations because there are no airports in that area and the axis... Anambra airport is a waste!!!

But Obi did so well, it will be very unfair to forget so soon.

Obi did unimaginably well..

He stopped one particular thing in Anambra.. godfatherism ... that's what he battled continuously until it ended before subsequent Governors came in without any form of that godfatherism disturbance and were free to govern the state after him..
He made the state become conscious of expenses, making Anambra currently with little or low embezzlement of funds by politicians and very many more...

He fought and won major battles that his successors are positively reaping benefits from.. And if you ask me, so long as BAT is still alive and godfatherism is still in Lagos State, Anambra is far better than Lagos because funds are used in building the state than Lagos where one man pockets more than 2/3 of the monies..

The Ebony Airport is super good enough to be an edifice of any country. This is a legacy Project that Umahi can boast of in years to come. Not to save money for others to come and embezzle like PO.
PO has no single legacy project but yet, he wants to be President. Someone with no foresight.
Dave Umahi would make an outstanding President of the FRN. I pray he does in future.
The other two airports, I don't think are good enough to serve as train stations talk more of an airport.

You're so spot on! Peter Obi did his best for Anambra state, and if anyone knows the dire socio-economic and security situation he met on ground....not to mention the distraction he was getting from greedy godfathers whose firm grip on the states finances and politics he was trying to prise off, then one would begin to appreciate better just how much he did for the state! If a Peter Obi had governed states like Rivers, Lagos, Akwa-Ibom or Delta in the last 8 to 16 years, those states would be much better developed and governed today!

Obi failed as a governor.

SW is indeed a backward region. It's just Lagos that is covering the rot in that region. What they call airports in that region are worse than say some bus station. Even airports in the most remote parts of North are far far better! Look at what they built in Ekiti as airport in 2023, this rubbish won't even be acceptable in South Sudan or Congo but these people think it's okay.

The buses they ride on in their cities, be it ibadan, Abeokuta etc are always small and rickety. Their houses too, normal average people won't want to live there. They're the odd ones in Southern Nigeria.

Omo, you can't buy class, if you have it, you have it. If you don't have it, you don't have it.

Typical Igbo's showing off on infrastructures that the state doesn't need. Anambra and Ebonyi states need road, rail, and electric power stations first before Airports that very few Nigerians can afford.

Leadership at the national level transcends building infrastructure. What Peter Obi is proposing is a total overhaul of the Nigerian state (instilling sanity and the rule of law) and expanding our economic frontiers (we call it diversification here).

There's so little the states can do in those areas. We need those more than anything else.

By the way, I noticed that you don't like Peter Obi, so you are likely going to attack him in your rejoinder to this comment. Sorry, bros, I won't react to it.
